CAGcast is lost= Sad Wombat

That's great news Cheapy! I was losing sleep over the prospect of not having a CAGcast to listen to. Okay well that and I am addicted to CAG blogs and trading forums. They're taking over my every waking minute!
 
Tai is being difficult...going to go to sleep with him and get the show up Thursday night US time...sorry!

Giant bomb lost a show a couple of weeks ago. They hit stop at the end of the show and the computer decided not to save it. On top of that, they deleted the e-mails as they read them on the show, so they didn't have them when they re-recorded.

If Wombat's computer stinks, why doesn't he just record directly to a memory card with his Handy Recorder and use that file?

Lame about the show but oh well. I think it would be interesting to hear just Cheapy's side for two hours.

I have a very good computer its a brand new Mac, also Cheapy didn't recover the files he found a program that let me recover the files. So There ,"nah"
 
Ha ha, it's funny how some of you guys freak out when a show isn't done on time or if they skip a week as if there's nothing else to do. But I am glad you were able to recover it. I would've been extremely pissed if I was in Wombat's position when that happened.
 
To Cheapy and Wombat,
What is the program you used to recover the show? My podcast co-host needs it so we don't have to re-record segments.
 
wombat i thought you were representing the poor man. buying a mac? arent those like over a grand? you can buy a pc with the same specs for 400$ your as much of a space pimp as cheapy now a days.

Mazel Tov. Just curious how long did it take to recover the file? I only ask because i'm curious if it would have been faster to re record the show.
 
I remember the guys at Giant Bomb did a whole podcast, only for it to be deleted. So then they immediately did a whole new one, albeit slightly faster, but still. I was like damn that would suck.

It didn't very long a few minutes, the is being uploaded to iTunes now and will be avail for everyone. Well everyone but Clarke, my cupcakes havn't arrived yet
