I was just glad to get through a game without a DDE. I should have at least one more victory on my record and I need to practice in hockey but I get pissed because of the DDE during my franchise that I just stopped playing in general. Thanks again.
 
Hey thatstoobad Silencer whipped my ass in a "exhibition" match but somehow it registered. Can you do us a favor and remove it please? He's gonna beat me down the road I'm sure, but lets wait till then lol.

I fixed it. That was really weird.

Also, I learned that I CAN edit the stats of games. I know there was a game a few weeks that back that was played and didn't register, and I told them that I couldn't edit the stats. I was wrong. So if it ever happens again, let me know and I'll take care of it.
 
We met in the league lobby and it said one game remaining, so we just played. Evidently people can play games early as long as it is on the schedule. Kind of nice to know about though.
 
I just wrapped my game up with SteveMcQ but I have to say it was a pretty dissapointing victory. The winning goal kind of got kicked into his net when his goalie tried to pass it out. I would of liked to see the game end better than that.

BTW, my game's still stuck on the "Reporting Results" screen for the past five minutes now. I'm just gonna exit out and hope it reports, but thatstoobad here's the score in case you have to fix it:

ya mine did the same thing :( I gave up after like 5 minutes too.

EDIT: we should play again some time we seem pretty evenly matched
 
By the way, I won my game this evening. 6-3 win. It was a good game, lots of posts hit by both myself and MSUHitman, I just got the bulk of the breaks.

Seeing as Buffalo won their game, it looks like there's going to be an epic showdown in week 9 between two undefeated teams. Statistically, Silencer has the advantage. He's the "offensive giant" of the league, if you will. Well let me tell you a little story about another epic battle involving a giant that took place 20 years ago, right here in Detroit. As many of you know, at Wrestlemania III, Hulk Hogan battled Andre the Giant in front of a record setting audience. What happened? Andre got his giant ass slammed, that's what. Well get ready, Silencer, because your ass is gonna get slammed!

In fact, I'm officially putting you on notice.

i just played a game online against some random. and he gave me negative feedback.

i think i played fair. i went up 5 -0 pretty fast. scoring like 3 different ways. and then i took my foot off the gas. he came back to like 5-3. and then i scored a few more. the final was like 10-6. and he kept doing that stupid dive defense, and then half the time i enter the zone he takes his hand off the controller to change the defense coaching scheme and i score... and all his goals were 1 timers or a deke.

i've been defeated 10-3 by ppl diving defense and scoring the same way. i still doin't give bad feedback. i'm just usually in awe of their consistancy and ability to exploit. although those games aren't very fun.
 
I feel ya. 99% of the people you play online end up being douchebags. The guy probably got his ego bruised because you worked him and gave you negative feedback.

I've been playing random people online a bit more lately, and it's not as bad as I originally thought. I still think there are a bunch of morons out there, but I've had a few really enjoyable games on there too. It's just kind of a crap shoot, really.

Same here. I'd say it's about 75% cool and 25% douche. I've met some really nice people lately. It is annoying though that some people automatically give you negative feedback if you win.

so its nearing the end of the "play week" and i haven't heard a response from ajh2298 on here and he hasn't been on XBL. so i'm a little concerned....i'm assuming things aren't set up from his move last week.

I might have to take a forfeit for this week since it seems Verizon screwed up moving my DSL to my new place. I should be back online by the 15th. If not, I'll drop out, and you can find a replacement. Sorry for the inconvenience. I hate Verizon. This is the second time that we moved where they did not keep their promise of DSL service within 3 business days. I've been without internet since 3/1. I had to go to my wife's job to get online. I really wish my contract was up with them so I could switch to Comcast, I might have to pay a few bucks more but I would at least have my service up and running.

Man that blows, and these DSL/CABLe companies are still putting you through "contracts?" I know AT&T actually STOPPED doing contacts and now they do month by month and you get the same benefit. Well almost, they offered me to sign up for a year and get a free month which I did since I had them for almost two years now, but contracts are no longer needed.

Hoping to get my game in soon but work schedule blows big ass this and next week.

I played more online games to get unrusty, and lost to the #7 player by 5 or so goals, gave him good feedback because he didn't abuse exploits... only to be called names in the chatroom despite not plugging my mic in. Figures. Beat a top 300 guy by a few goals who was abusing like crazy. Some sort of move that would make my goalie go all the way to the left, while standing infront of the goalie on his left, then shooting right for 6 out of his 6 goals. WTF?

I wonder how much they abuse NHL07 over live. Gets tiring in NHL2k7.

I can't get on CAG at work, so I'm limited to email and listing contact info on the league website isn't cool to do apparently. Actually, I just think no one looks at it.

I'm seeing if ajh can play Tuesday night. FYI, he contacted me first around the time the new week was posted, but I wasn't able to get back to him as I've been busy. Hopefully, we can agree on a time Tuesday night. Otherwise, should it not work, please give him the win as he contacted me first.
 
Got some bad news. rscaramelo and I were playing our game when it froze (at least for me). Now, every time I load NHL 2K7, it freezes on the intro screen. I've been having trouble with my xbox 360 freezing when I play NHL 2K7 for some time now, so this doesn't really surprise me.

Most likely I'm going to have to call up Microsoft and see if it's still under warranty (I hope so), then go about getting a replacement. This means I'm probably going to miss at least 2-3 weeks, so it will probably be best if you just found a replacement for me.

I'm sorry I have to drop out, but it's really out of my control. Just go ahead and give rscaramelo the win for this week, and hopefully you'll be able to find a replacement for me by next week's deadline.
 
I sent scp89 a PM about taking over for Outrage, so hopefully Monsta Mack will have an opponent soon.

Also, I'd just like to mention my win last week against Repetske. I probably won't get much of a chance to give myself a pat on the back once the playoffs roll around, so I'm taking that opportunity now.

If by any chance some sort of miracle happens just send me a PM about this weeks game. Anyways hope I can play this week, if not I'll just get a few practice games this week and hope for the best next week.
 
Just wrapped up my game against IceBurgh. Good game, but holy fuck I have never had so many near goals where the puck just slides a cross the crease with the goalie nowhere near it and somehow manages to not go in. Good game just the same, can't wait till next week. I even had one or two graze the goal line, just craziness.
 
Just to let Monsta Mack know, I'm still waiting on a reply from scp89 about taking over for Anaheim. I figured he should get first dibs, since he was already in the league and all. If you want, you can send him a PM about scheduling a game or something and asking if he's signing up. Or you don't have to. I'll give him another day or two to respond, and if he doesn't, I'll try someone else that wanted to play.

I'm still waiting on a response from rscaramelo about our game, by the way.

Also, nice job getting so many games in already.

I actually just played against the most obnoxious person in the world like 30 seconds ago. He would not shut up and after every goal spent a minute going over the replay from angle. After every goal he'd bring up the stat screen and be like "whats the score?? whats the score??. In the end I lost 7-4 but holy fuck I've lost worse but been happy just the same because it was a fun game but this guy was just full out obnoxious for the sake of being obnoxious.
