CAGHL 2k7 - League Champion: Thatstoobad (Nashville Predators)

maybe it's ur connection. most of my games have been lag free. today's with thatstoobad was flawless.

Definetly not a connection problem. I play Rainbow Six, Madden, Marvel,
NBA 2k7, Far Cry just some examples all the time.

I just have problems with NHL 2K games.

I also played two games before this one lag free with no problems.

I am going to try and clean the cache and see if that helps. It is really frustrating. Last year I could not get past the start screen about half way through the league and I had to drop out. I am hoping I can remedy this problem quickly.
 
I need to verify what flybrione said about last night's game. It was constant lag. I've never had that before on XBL. If possible, I'm willing to replay it since I didn't really win.

This is off league topic but deals with NHL2k7:

I'm sure people have read already that the revenge achivement is glitched aka it's not possible to achieve.

But from what I read no one really complained about winning the cup achivement. Well I won the stanley cup in pro difficulty, with nothing tweaked outside of my roster, and did not receive the achivement. Just a forewarning to anyone else that plays the games single player and is looking forward to receiving some achivements, because I didn't receive the Stanley Cup one.
 
I got a few hitches in my last game as well, but it only happened a handful of times right at center ice. Outside of that, no problems with the game for me. Well, aside from some worrying graphical glitches at start of the period faceoffs.

That's funny. I was playing my single player season last night, and I scored on a penalty shot, and I didn't get the achievement.

I don't really care much about the Gamer Score/Achievement Points stuff, but it would be nice if it worked like it was supposed to.

I don't recall anymore what I've changed. I think I've shut off injuries and energy, but aside from that, everything's at default. I wish 2K would get their act together and not have some slightly crippling bugs in their games.

I'm really not sure :\

I left everything default except for game speed. But I know prior to creating your season you can set the amount of games, injuries off, etc. I had injuries off as well, and less games then normal... and it didn't register still.

I was playing franchise mode.

I went as far as simming my entire second season in franchise mode and playing the final cup game to get the achivement. No dice. Not that I expected that to work either.

I'm just alittle upset over 2k games for allowing this to slip by, considering 2k7 is leaps better then 2k6 yet they STILL allow faulty QA to pass by.

Hopefully they fix the one timer and all the cheap goals to boot next year (keep dreaming) otherwise next year NHL08 might be getting my money.

Good game rs. Your goalie was starting to really piss me off,but after two periods of no scoring he started to lax You were friendly and had a REAL good connection, I don't remember seeing any lag at all. Hope to see you down the road and in the playoffs.
 
Yo thatstoobad, we need a reset on the Buffalo/Columbus game. It timed out right at the start and gave me the win. Stupid game. Thanks for trying to play scp.
 
I know then I had issues getting back on...then it was super bowl time...we'll play soon...if you aren't doing anything after the game I'm in...

I did find out what the combo for switching to the goalie on the fly is, so that's good (LT+RB: gave up two goals trying to figure that part out).

On a hockey note, is Theodore a decent goalie? I don't follow hockey, but I had two wrap-aroung goals on me (no, I wasn't controlling my goalie) and he wasn't even close to covering the other post. He just sat there stuck to the other post.

Good game, outrage.
 
Hahaha, I was wondering what you're goalie was doing. Thanks though, I didn't know how to control the goalie.

I'm not sure what Theodore's rated in the game, but I assume it's mid-upper 80s... so decent. The first wrap-around goal was pure luck. My player (who I wasn't controlling) checked your defenseman near the goal. As soon as I got possession, I just hit the shoot button and my player happened to try the wrap-around. I did it on purpose the second time. ;)

Good game and I look forward to the rematch.

I thought you did that by clicking in the right stick when the other team has the puck, just like the pro control when you have the puck.

I've always been a sucker for Theodore even though he pretty much cost me the CAG Cup last year against Jordan. If you're looking to deal him, I have a Martin Biron just wasting away on my bench.
 
I think clicking the right stick lets you have the POV of the goalie, while doing what SteveMcQ said actually lets you control the goal like a player (say if you want to cut off the puck yourself or something).
 
jcp is having system trouble, so I'm not sure if we're going to get our game in this week. He's looking for some alternatives.
 
yeah I believe my 360 is trashed...I msg'd a friend to see if he would take over the Jackets for me...I should know come late tomorrow...if he agrees can the league admin change the Jackets to him???

yeah i can do that. is your friend a member of CAG? if not, please make sure to have him register here and check regularly. there are some others who were interested in playing, so it's not a big deal if you can't find a replacement on your own.

ok so I'm out...and my friend cant take over for me...it will be awhile before I'm back up....should I pay M$ to fix mine or buy a new one...any thoughts???
 
Beat CheapyD yesterday in a nail bitter 2-1. Got through the entire game without any problems which was good. Great game Cheapy.

Up next is Repetske. I can play in the evenings after work (7pmcst) LMK.

Also when I was playing Cheapy he mentioned that I was one of the first guys to play with the headset. Nobody like to chat anymore?

I usually have my headset on at the beginning of the game, but I don't hear anything from the other end, so I'll end up taking it off. The exception was one game I played pretty early in the morning, and I didn't feel like talking to anyone then.
 
I usually get my games in around 10pm EST or so and I always get calls around that time, which usually spans the entire game.

I wear my headset but its hard to chat when playing NHL 2K cause you have to concentrate and move the whole time you. it's a little easier w/ Madden cause there are breaks in the action.

I always wear my headset for league games. I want to know my fellow CAG's. I woul have never met the CAG equivalent of the Hanson brothers (Jordan and Brad) or The Crazy French Canadian (Meth). And who wouldn't want to chat it up with the man himself (CheapyD).

good game monsta mack. carolina defeats ottawa 5-4 in OT.

couldn't hold on there with 2 mins left. what ever strategy u changed worked! and that 5-3 hurt. those penalties took forever to tick down.
 
Insanely good game Amicus. I'm glad I had my mic off most of the time becuase I was swearing up a storm when your goalie was robbing shots left and right.

BTW me and Amicus had a "Connection error" on the first try and it was 0-0, I hope that doesnt' effect anything, but the second game we got going we had no problems and there wasn't any lag to begin with

5-4 Whalers... I mean Hurricanes, in probably the best CAGHL game I've had so far. Amicus I don't know how you lost your other two games because your really good.
 
yeah very good game.

i'm a little sad now, cuz now i have to wait a week for the next game. keep playing these games too soon.
 
Bad news...my 360 looks to be needing a vacation to Texas for a little spa time. The disc tray will not close. Even when I close it manually, it will not read the disc as a result. Shitty, shitty hardware. Sorry guys. Hopefully you can get a replacement in. I really was looking forward to being the red-headed stepchild of the league and IceBurgh and I were going to have a battle this week for dominance of the CAGHL cellar.

Sorry to hear that about your Xbox, SteveMcQ. How long does it take to get those things fixed?

I sent someone a PM about taking over as Colorado, but if I don't hear anything back from them, I'll open up the league and hopefully someone can fill in.
