Anyone in free agency currently, you may sign. When the offseason starts you will be allowed to bid on players through free agency. It's not until after the bidding process is over that we may restrict free agents.

TL;DR Go crazy! Sign who you want. More info on bidding when we start the off season.

Edit: Super Bowl is tied up 17-17 in the 4th Quarter.
 
i cant wait till we advance past the superbowl so FA and contract info makes since for everyone again lol

Lions finished the year 19-1 with a super bowl victory! Matthew Stafford ended his incredible year going 13-17 passing for 279 yards, a TD and an INT. MVP Aaron Wiles had 13 rushes for 44 yards and a TD and had 6 catches for 87 yards. Titus Young played huge with 2 receptions for 100 yards and a TD. Defensively the Lions couldn't get it going, but bent but didn't break. Vanden Bosch led the team with 5 tackles, 3 for a loss and one sack. Bentley added one more pick this offseason, giving him 3 in his first 3 playoff games.

The jets running game could not be stopped, but he was held to field goals on 4 drives. Played great defense and completely shut down Wiles from the backfield.

Definitely a game that could have gone either way and it certainly seemed like lady luck was on Tebow's side yet again! Very fun game man.

That screen pass of yours was killing me the first half... Finally caught onto the Calvin Johnson comeback route and switched my playcalling on that Cromarite pick. Surprised he was caught from behind too.. Either you have some fast ass players or my players or slow as shit. I still can't believe I didn't score off that squib kick with a second left, I thought I had it! haha... Definitely a fun game!

Actually that pick was a out route but I just couldn't get any of my receivers off the line! And that was an absolutely amazing pick for sure.

I would think that the only way to do it is to bid on them...first come first serve isn't the fair way imo. At least if everyone bids everyone has a shot at them.

well considering they were all under contract but the guy before the current owner was a dumb ass and cut these guyes to try and fuck up the league i dont think thats a fair route to go for the new owner i would think he would get exclusive rights to these players unless he cant afford to pay them of course

For sure that is what I would do as well. Make sure you get a list of them and post it on here so that we know who is off limits. I know I don't know much of the cowboys roster off hand. I live in packers country and am also a redskins fan so my mindset has always been "cowboys? fuck the cowboys".

Thank you pitfall! That means a lot coming from you, playing you and kaster for two seasons really helped me develop in this game. I modeled a lot of my passing game based on how you play, and my run game from Kaster showing me different things in season one. I really appreciate it. Now I just need to learn how to beat you! I'm 1-3 against you :(
 
If we can't resign a player due to them wanting to leave would it be better to drop them now and free up cap room or will we have an oppurtunity to franchise them when we advance? Also if we don't drop them would that money still clear up the cap space that they were using? I don't know but i believe i read some were that it doesnt idk. Lol
 
All right, congrats to the Lions on winning the Super Bowl! We have now advanced to the first round of the offseason. Like I said before, all teams were off auto pilot when I left. So, hopefully nobody got screwed this tme.

What I did notice though is the retirements. Steve Smith, James Harrison, and despite buying the QB retirement package, Kurt Warner still retires after only coming back for one season. So, the G-Men need a QB bad.

Most likely, I'm going to give 2 days for each round of the offseason to give everyone enough time and since I'm out of town anyway. So, bear with me, and don't burn the place down. This first round will be due by 3/17.

Justin Tuck didn't show up to resign but Dwayne Bowe did, I'm only going to offer FA years they are asking for in my signings.

Not sure what to do about Tuck...
 
hmmm so when we advanced i got an additional 4 million in cap space thats weird. i'm only going to be able to sign a few of my FA's and it looks like i also might not be able to have 53 players on my roster as well. its a sad day in bengals im going to have to make good trades to try and make this bengals team look pretty
 
im guessing with it being the 3rd season alot of people might have a hard time with keeping 53 players on there roster

I mean other then the people's who's teams are kinda screwed up I think you could find extremely cheap backups to fill the rost out to 53, maybe you can't make a pickup you want cause of it but that's how it is supposed to work.
 
lol i have 1 million left after signing signing 2 players which one included my kicker and someone else i should be ale to get back to 50 though after the draft. im hoping i can trade some player to free up some more space. not really worried about who i sign they will all be fillers either way pretty much just adding depth to the roster

Also if you feel a player is paid too much do a cut and sign later in the season.

I thought n8 had said it was only allowed in special cases, not sure though. That is how I straightened out the cap with the Panthers.

I was able to resign Gore and a couple of scrubs, everyone else walked. I've got some more work to do. Thank you previous GM.
