CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!

Team that had him before you must have ended negotiations or been rejected. Arent all three of those guys traded players

Also LOL at him wanting that much. One of my backups wanted 7 million a year.

im not sure if the other team had to ended negotiations ive made trades before where the other team hadnt ended them becuz i asked before the trade and when the offseason came around he wasnt there to talk some players just dont want to play for teams

after looking at my roster more im just not sure i make make the money appear or not its going to be tough but i know i should be able to atleast get 50 players on the team for sure just going to have some real ugly players on the depth chart

the thing that sucks with the cut and sign is the real life bengals signed pretty much all the players to bonuses so cutting them really wouldnt help much at all. and some players if i cut them that arent on bonuses would prolly turn around and ask for more money im kinda in a jam.

But you should still get the opportunity to at least franchise tag them.

You can just press Y on their name I guess you can't if they don't show up though i dunno what it looks like in your case. Maybe we can give a list of people I trade that didn't show up and give teams the option to "franchise" them in the first round of FA aka 1 year and then w/e the tag number would e?

Looks like most of my free agents are walking. I got Dressen. That's all I was really worried about.

I was insulted to see that my 79 OVR Punter rejected my (over what he wanted) offer of 1.2M a year. Also, Ben Tate rejected my offer of more than he wanted. Even the twitter guys were shocked.

Edit: I guess Peyton didn't come out of retirement. Disappointing, but whatever.
Is there an advancement plan in place? I won't be able to look at my resignable players until tonight.
I believe there's one planned for Sunday night.

The Bills biggest sign was Felix Jones I have no idea why the Cowboys let him walk as soon as I saw him as a free agent my mouth dropped. I can run a toss play and with his speed he'll beat the corners and gain atleast 5 yards unless like the house is coming lol. Most of my players walked but they were all fillers and I doubt anybody would want to bid for them.

Wow, who was the previous owner? Stuck with -4.80M to work with.

Anyone interested in Malcom Floyd, Robert Meachem, Quentin Jammer or Jared Gaither on the Chargers?

Well, I managed to resign Koppen, Landhi, and Pierre Thomas along with some other guys. Knox rejected my deal, Ray Rice never came up so hopefully he will still be on my roster. Ryan Pickett disappeared (must have retired).

On the upside, I finally got out of Gerald McCoy's contract!

Still open to trading pretty much my entire roster (including Rice) Looking for WR's, CB's, and LB's. Have a top 10 pick , 2 3rd rounders, and all others available for trade as well.

NOOOO! Dallas Clark is off my roster too! UGH.

Look at the salaries under the strategy tab. If it says Rice has one year left, you're out of luck.

I am really interested in who all goes. It seems like it could turn into a huge mess.

I think Knox would look nice in a Broncos uniform. :D

Edit: Todd Heap retired. Wasn't expecting that.

Yeah, the way they are listed worries the crap out of me. I really wish they would list the people that will be free agents as 0 years remaining instead. Would make it so much easier to tell what is going on.

I made a list of players it didn't list as needing to resign just in case.

I did that to with a few of my starters but come today when I went to resign they weren't there. I went to the salaries tabs and it says that the big names I was gonna resign all are due a salary in the coming year?

Fortunately I was able to retain a couple of desired guys, but most of the RFAs I tried to resign rejected my offers. I was especially shocked that a *63 overall* RB who was only asking for 1 yr at 750k rejected my 2 yr 850k + 50k bonus offer! He played better than his overall rating and I was able to utilize him effectively, so I am bummed. Of course the biggest hit to the Steelers is the unexpected retirement of James Harrison. I have a lot of holes to fill this offseason... :whistle2:/
sounds like everyone is having problems signing people this offseason. no one wants to sign
Ya only other person I offered money was the backup I had for Tuck, Trevor Scott. He wanted like 3 million something a year for like 3 or 4 years. I offered him 4 mil with 250k bonus and he didn't take it. I was hoping even if somehow I didn't get Tuck I'd at least have this guy.

in the FA pool they usually sign for less than wut they turned down on u anyways. im just hoping that i can move the right people and free up a bit of money and use the draft to help with starting rotation along with depth chart. i need to atleast sign 2 or 3 FA's from the pool to try and get back to 53 right now with picks and everything i should be able to get back to 51 i believe

I remember last year a ton of the B-level FAs didn't sign during the free agency period, and there were some pretty decent players available once the free for all started in the preseason.
This same thing happened last season...not sure why everyone is surprised...
We did have the same thing happen last season. But if people remember, it straightened itselff out and not as many people ended up being free agents as the game indicated. Since we've advanced to the offseason, we SHOULD be in the 2014 season now. Therefore, anyone showing as having 1 year remaining shouldn't actually be a free agent.

Thus, the reason you didn't get to negotiate with them is because their contract won't be expiring until after season 3. Obviously, I don't have my Xbox in front of me right now, but that sounds like what's happening.
That's how I was too. People can't manage money lol
Yeah. Some people seem to think they can keep their team intact every year. That's just not the way that it works. You might have to let big name guys with big contracts walk to keep your team under the cap. I had to cut a few guys last year that were making too much money, including Anquan Boldin. A lot of the free agent signings I made last offseason included no bonus money, so they would be easy to cut if it came down to that.

Also something to note...retirements take place throughout the offseason. Just because they show up on your team now, doesn't mean they will be there for next season. Ray Lewis waited until the last day of free agency to announce his retirement and only gave me one day to make an offer on a free agent to replace him.

I am still looking for a MLB upgrade. I would include 83 OVR Jameel McClain OR 76 OVR Dannell Ellerbe in a package deal with picks/other players to acquire a guy I like better, so you wouldn't be stuck without a starting MLB. I don't need a superstar, but I do want an overall better guy. I already contacted a few owners inquiring about players awhile ago, but didn't receive any responses, so I assume they are not interested. If you guys change your mind, please contact me.

FIRE SALE!!!!

TE Tony Gonzalez OVR 89
LOLB Rocky McIntosh OVR 79
ROLB Lance Briggs OVR 81
HB Knowshon Moreno OVR Doesn't matter! He'll lead you to the superbowl! Guaranteed!

Just looking for draft picks

If you need to cut players or just want to dump some salary let me know cuz i got cap space, i may be able to give you at least something for those players
Cowboys are in big trouble because I had half of my team not accept the offers they asked for as FA.
Sign a bunch of scrubs and imagine how much cap space you'll have in a season or 3. Lol

Bucs are still listening to offers on the entire roster including Ray Rice. I also have a top 10 pick and 2 3rd rounders I can move.

Looking for WR, CB, TE, and LB.

bengals have made came to an agreement with a team to make a trade. this trade should help open some cap space to sign other players that are cheapers.

Cowboys have top tier talent they are looking to trade for cheaper options. Guys like Ware, Witten, Austin Ratliff and others are available.
