Only when it's time to start free agency..if he didn't accept the contract u offered then the player is testing free agency
 
fuck!!! I just got fucked and a few others did as well. When I advanced, myself, the Jags, and the Colts were on autopilot from our final games. Soooo yeah...now we can't do anything. Seriously, they couldn't put in some type of warning that you're advancing to the next season and have teams on autopilot. With all the teams needing new owners, I didn't even think of this. God fucking dammit.

I nearly had a heart attack. I decided to check out resigning one of my players and it initially showed negative a million in space. That was because the player wanted 19 million over 4 years, but the site lists it really weird. I have 18 million, which is about where I thought I really should be.

If it says unavailable, it means that they negotiated during the season and ended up rejecting all your offers.
 
I'm starting to like the idea n8 had a few pages back about a restricted 2 day of the off season of teams to negotiate with players that left them without resigning or being available.

Edit:

That just sucks. I hate the CPU for ending negotiations with players (before I took control).

Is there any way to change my coach without messing anything up ? I took over the team late and wanted to make my own coach lol.
 
JZA and i have agreed to back out of the bengals giants trade becuz of the cap space glitch it would send me into the negs. he and i are working on a new deal that can work. damn EA sports screwed me out of manning bastards

I believe he is somewhere like 85-87 OVR. I don't remember individual stats, but he is a worthwhile player if your team needs a QB. In my experiences, he stayed multiple seasons. Asks for around 10 million per year if I remember right.
 
heres a list of guys from my team who are going to leave and didnt give me the chance to resign them becuz of the glitch it didnt show up under resign players either they dont even appear like the others that just say unavailable which is even weirder and sucks a big one

I had a couple of guys that didn't show up. What I am not sure is those people who were supposed to have 1 year left. Do those people still have their 1 year left or not? Cause if not this really screws my team over.

thats a pretty dirty move they were all suppose to have 1 more year i talked to the owner in the other league that has the bengals and he said there contracts should still be good and i should have been able to sign them this year. shouldnt i get first dibs since EA messed it up i think that would be an ideal fit for this situation but thats n8's call i know thats wut the other league did. but i didnt have this problem in the other league
 
Guys, check the team salaries page to make sure you're losing people. I checked it before the Super Bowl and it said Percy Harvin had one year left and I was all pissed off, but Harvin wasn't in my resignable players list. I went to the page and it says he still has one year left.
 
well that sounds good im hoping that the new trade that jza and i put thru gets a approval soon. becuz i know he and i would both like to be able to put the trade thru tommrow at 12 central time pm

Dude I was joking lol, I already stated I only have $300k left in salary space.
 
n8, let me know the status of the Pats owner once you know. It doesn't look like they don't have anyone major who needs re-signing, so I'm happy to take care of that if there's a delay with the new guy. Not touching anything for now though.
 
Well looks like I also got lucky in that guys who were said to have 1 more year didnt show up in my resignable tab. Freeman still has another year left thankfully. Was able to resign Clark and a couple other guys.

Like some other owners I joined late and the Bucs previous owner failed at negotiations with the players below...are we going to consider allowing new owners of these teams first crack at signing them in the open market since we were never actually given a chance to sign them during the year?

RT Jeremy Trueblood 81 OVR
K Connor Barth 77 OVR
WR Preston Parker 71 OVR

Its also telling me Ronde Barber is supposed to resigned but he doesnt show up at all in my resign players screen...another glitch?
 
I know for a fact Revis had 2 years left while we were playing, but now it's 1 year left and no resigning showing up. Not sure how many years Pace had left, but he's also not on my resign screen with 1 year left. Just letting it be known in case we're letting teams get first dibs on their glitched players. Was hoping the glitch would affect my RT. Dude's gonna get close to 11mil next season.
 
Ok people here is how I think the glitch works. If you go to to the roster, and pick the player. Go to view player card and then contract. If there year of current contract says 2012, they should be resigning or they will be released into free agency. If you go to them and their contract says some other year then that, it should mean that's 2013. Justin Smith for example was showing 1 year left last week. He is still showing 1 year left and it says for 2007. He never came up as a resigning, so I am guessing 2013 will be his last year. Where as Brandon Jacobs who is in the resigning is showing 2012 as his last year left.

This isn't the case for every player. Ed Dickson is showing 1 year left for 2010, but he is in my re-signings screen. In real life, Dickson is a restricted free agent. I don't think Madden is smart enough to deal with restricted free agents.

Pretty sure Justin Smith's last year as a Bengal was 2007. I have Vonta Leach showing his last year in 2010, which was his last year with the Texans. EA just has their contract info screwed up and showing old contracts.

Personnel->roster->view player card->contract/skills, year and salary will be listed


Those players who should have at least 1 more year left also show a salary under strategy->team salarie->year 2013, such as Justin Smith and Mario Manningham.

Ok, I'm trying to figure this out since I screwed myself out of being able to re-sign any of my guys. Are you saying that the salaries page is now right? Because looking at that, it's now showing guys like Kenny Britt and others with 1 year remaining, but has an actual 2013 cap hit amount. Does this for sure mean these guys aren't going anywhere?

I believe anyone on this list should remain on your team into free agency.
