well chuckles account works so i no longer need to be the point of contact for him seems like he finally is figuring out the contacting and paying attention is key in league play

Just to pre-empt this a bit. While, I think a lot of league veterans feel like they've gotten better, I don't think we should be bringing in people who routinely contend for the title in the other league. That really just ends up defeating the purpose. In that same regard, I'm actually anticipating potentially having to "graduate" a few players in this league as is. There are a few new members who I have a feeling will be strong contenders in the other league as well. And to me, when you're at that point, why are you in a "learning league"?

When you add to that, the new members we have who DO need the help (I've noticed quite a few blowouts this year already), it doesn't make sense to cater to people who know Madden extremely well and could compete anywhere. I'm not sure what kind of backlash that would cause, but the way I see it, you lose members either way. If I don't move those top end players along to the other league (and I'm not talking about middle of the road players over there, I'm talking about people who have a fair chance at making the playoffs every season), we're just going to lose members who feel like they can't even compete....which again, defeats the entire purpose of having this league.

That's at least the message I want to send to members who feel like they're having a rough go of it so far. Just know that I'm aware of it and try to persevere through this season. If we need to make adjustments to more evenly distribute the talent level, I'm open to that. I don't have a whole lot of interest hosting a league where the divisional playoff losers from the other league are the Super Bowl winners over here.

Well, it's up to you to get in touch with him. I'll put you on auto pilot either way though so he can just play the CPU if it comes to it.
 
Seahawks v. Panthers are set to go pretty soon, hopefully. Just loading into the game now and waiting to hear from the Panthers, who said they should be online around now.
 
Giants finally get a win, beating the Browns 27-7. Got lucky with some interceptions early, including one that Webster returned for a touchdown. I was worried that it was business as usual when I could only get field goals on my first two possessions despite moving deep into Browns territory, but Manning eventually threw a TD and David Wilson picked one up on the ground. GG fsecreast.
 
Seahawks win 13-10, barely. Panthers ran a pass on the last play of the game with :11 left, olsen went down at the half yard line and I squeaked by with a win. Doo Mane says he thought he had another timeout left, which makes sense. I may have snuck away with this win.

Ugly game for my offense, which...well, if anyone's played me, you know there aren't that many good games for my O. There managed to be enough turnovers (including a really badly-timed Deangelo Williams fumble) to keep me in the game, and I had a lucky TD to Golden Tate to end the half to make it 10-7 in favor of the panthers. Got the two 2nd half FG off of turnovers on EXTREMELY conservative drives since I was very afraid of getting picked again, as I did in one of my first drives.

Seahawks improve to 3-1-1, 3-0 on the road. Wut.
 
Yeah, GG. I should've kept running and just took the field goal instead of going for the win. Oh well, rookie mistake lol

Got whooped by the Giants. Couldn't get anything going on the road. Brady threw four picks. I had two holding calls on the first drive that killed me and I never got momentum going after that. I also abandoned the run way too early.

P.S. we should get a fund going for the guys who don't have a headset. It's annoying playing against people who don't have one. :p

Lol yea good game man. That was my bend but don't break defense working there the first couple drives. I have a crap secondary so I try to play a lot of zone to disguise my coverages and give them a chance to make a play.

I have a headset but don't like using it for one-on-one games like Madden. Generally speaking I prefer to concentrate on the game and not have someone in my ear.

Same. If i'm playing sports or fighting games I don't really plug in my headset. I'm either trying to concentrate or I have my music going.
 
Also, the Saints win 27-7. GG xoCHUCKLESox. No turnovers, which is a shocker for me. xoCHUCKLESox was unlucky as he had several dropped passes and some turnovers.

I don't use my headset during competitive games either. It's hard enough to concentrate with my wife and daughter trying to talk to me/making noise. Really weird that the owner of the Cleveland Browns the past two years has been very adament about wanting people to use headsets, haha. I know Cleveland is lonely, but damn! lol

TRADE REJECTED...pretty emphatically, too (like Dikembe Mutumbo rejection...).

Nobody liked this one. Welker is one of the top receivers in the league, and really isn't that old. Hill is being really upsold (and honestly, has been...that's why DVO traded for him to begin with). And you really can't call it a salary dump with Welker being in the last year of his deal anyway. And even with the question of DVO being able to re-sign him, there's just not enough value coming back the other way.

I know you guys want "the right answer" for how to make this trade work, but with a rejection this strong, there's not going to be an easy fix. The biggest suggestion I can give you is that the pick needs to be AT LEAST a second rounder. But I'm also not going to say that resubmitting the same trade with the 4th rounder changed to a 2nd rounder is going to make any difference. Take this one back to the drawing board.
 
Hey n8, do you know if you can toggle someone to auto-pilot from the website? I'm guessing no, but I haven't tried it before, figured you might know.

You couldn't before they did the update. I haven't specifically looked since then, but considering how little of the stuff from the update is actually useful, I'm going to guess you still can't, lol.

This game was 0-0 through 3 quarters, despite me getting seven (SEVEN) interceptions and many of them being inside opposition's territory, albeit around the 40. Pats D completely shut out my offense. The first 7 was a pick 6 midway through the 4th quarter, then the remaining 6 was another pick 6 near the end of the Q with a blocked XP.

I had 88 yards of offense. Worst offensive day I've ever had, by far. Wilson was 4-17, 66 yards and a pick, 18.8 rating. (Majority of the passing yards came on one screen) On the flip side, the best my D has ever played, with 7 INT and 5 sacks.

Seahawks have defeated undefeated teams in two straight weeks. Well, I should say the Seahawks D has defeated these teams...but hey, I'll take it!
