They're not on the disc.

GOTY comes with a code, that you have to take to that website to enter, TO GET ANOTHER CODE to actually download from XBLM. :roll:

Such a stupid idea.
 
10PM on Sunday ok with everyone? And I too use to think Simon D I sucked until he got something like 24 kills with 8 deaths while he was a level 1 after going prestige

Map delay doesn't bother me since Amazon still hasn't shipped the points card I ordered last Thursday. Damn slow free shipping.

I just brought the GOTY edition home after selling my used regular edition on here for $35 on Monday. Well as it turns out you still have to download the maps with the GOTY....so its basically the exact same game but with different cover art and you get a download code for the map packs included. Why couldn't they just put it on the disc? My justification was not having to download the maps on my tiny 20GB hard drive =\

The maps are delayed, at least for those of us with the GOTY edition. I purchased call of duty 4 goty today, the instrucitons say I have to go to http://gameoftheyear.callofduty.com and put in the code to get the token to put into xbox live. (Why they couldn't just give me the code I need on the slip of paper, I don't know....)

Anyway, when I go to the web site it says that the maps will be released April 10th, and to come back then to get the free token.

I hope that web site is right and it will be released before then, but I guess that's not the official line from Activision right now.

Good news that the maps are back on track, I think I might actually bust out COD2 and give MP a go, I always thought the MP in that games was overlooked.
 
Getting more kills then deaths would do the trick...

CoD2 multiplayer was my favorite online game before CoD4. Only reason I stopped playing was because almost everyone went to Gears.

It might be difficult to raise your KD ratio when you start out poorly, that is if you're still playing at the same level you were when you first started.

Just get at least a 1 KD every round.
 
Takes me like a week of playing good to raise my ratio .01. Or it takes a day of my friend playing to lower it .02

Martyrdom. I used to get so many cheap kills with it, it was almost impossible to get a negative ratio.

Headquarters on Shipment and Wetworks sucks! Takes forever since its so damn tough to capture a headquarters with all the grenade spamming and your k/d ratio will be awful if you actulaly try to capture instead of just spamming grenades and flanking people.

Ya it drops your K/D a lot. In TDM I'm at at least 1.80 K/D, but from playing all the headquarters and other modes I fell to around 1.5. But I don't really care anyway...so I just play what I want and usually in shipment I'm the guy trying to camp on the HQ and often getting nade spammed lol.

I have a deep hatred for shipment ever since I played Headquarters on it. The most annoying thing? Grenade spamming? No. Claymores? No. Campers? No. It's your teammates! Your teammates are so fucking stupid, so called Prestige 3 Generals don't even know how to play headquarters. I miss capturing the HQ due to nade spamming. Okay that's annoying. But what's even more annoying is how your teammates are running off and hiding from the grenades. Most of the time I find myself to be the only person trying to capture the HQ. Which explains why I have the most points in my team. But grenades tend to kill me when I am just half a second from capturing the HQ. I'm sure if my teammates actually attempted to help me the captures would be over much quicker.
 
Well even though at times I do capture the headquarters I think if you play Shipment straight up your pretty stupid. The map is obviously not meant to be played with an objective game type so if you arent into it backout. I play it when I need to get my kdr up but when I want to win I backout of rooms once the map comes up

Littlefields, I know of this "I don't know how to play objective games" epidemic. Now, there's nothing wrong with going for kills after someone else has captured the base, but starting the match saying, and I quote, "I ain't capturin' shit" is somewhat bothersome . Even more so when one later finds out that the declarative individual was using Juggernaut while sniping from afar. It sort of makes me wish for a voting system, like Map skip, but with booting players. :bomb:

shipment is perfect for getting so many challenges, with everybody grouped together, it's perfect for getting challenges completed for shitty guns. i got my highest kill streak on that map! 21 kills =D probably low compared to others here, but whatever. haha
 
The only headquarter location on Shipment I wont go for is the middle, unless I see a moment where the other team has backed off I wont make a move for it. Way to much dieing for no reason. I normally just airstrike/helicopter them to death until they get annoyed and start shooting down my helicopters/counter camping then I cap it.

Haha, excellent diagram, only I don't think there are enough grenades. Where'd you get the image to make it from? It'd be useful for studying purposes if they have the other maps too.

I like playing shipment HQ only because it really changes the way you have to play the game strickly cause of the map.. I am an HQ taking whore, I always go for it, but know I am going to die alot, but man it feels good to get it in shipment
