I've seen so many different thrread that the forum is getting messy. Since we have an official trading thread, maybe we can have an official one for questions too, because after all, this is the Canadian HOT DEALS forum! It's not right when we have more questions than deals. You can ask any question you wan there, ranging from the cheapest 360, HDTVGame delays, Canadian game rental sites all the way to where the cheapest copy of Burnout is. I can assure you that you will get the same amout of replies here, if not more!
What trade-3 deals are going on still at EB? Preferrably preorder ones.
As of last week (probably some changed by now)

MSG4
Bourne Conspiracy
Kung Fu Panda
Battlefield: Bad Company
Civ Revolution
Ratchet & Clank Secret Agent (PSP)
Guitar Hero Aerosmith
Prizefghter
DBZ: Burst Limit

Anyone have an old BF1942 or Battlefield Vietnam CD key lying around? EA has a promo that if you register your game with them they'll give you a free weapon unlock for Battlefield Bad Company. Problem is you need a vaild key - one time use.

They also let you use a login for BF2 or BF2142 but I don't want to hassle anyone for their account info. Not sure if you can just use a temp pass or something. I don't want to use anyone's game, just want to unlock the weapon.

Anyone know which store gets Civilization Revolution first and when the game will be releasing? I've been getting conflicting release dates and i really want this game ASAP! If it helps, I'm in the Toronto area...

I'm just wondering if anyone here has picked up the wireless guitar for Rock Band on 360? I'm thinking of picking up another guitar, but I can't find a single review for this anywhere... and I read a few customer reviews on Amazon, but some people were saying they were having big problems with them. Does anyone know if this has been alleviated yet?

Anyone seen God of War 1 (PS2) for cheap? I think the cheapest I've seen is $19.99 at Best Buy. I'm in downtown Toronto/GTA.

Update, just saw it at amazon.ca for $17.05. Odd. I'd rather not get it there, I don't have anything to bring the total up to $39 for free shipping.

Try Kijiji.ca

There isn't a thread for contests that Canadians are eligible for, is there? I sometimes go to the Contest & Free Stuff page, find a good deal, and then feel dejected only to find out that "This giveaway is only open to legal residents of the United States that are physically located in the continental United States..." or something like that. :wall:

I frequent that section as well and sometimes run into the same errors. I suppose we may as well have a thread seeing as a few of us will notice the deals that apply to us as well...and then deals from elsewhere, too.

For that you can go to RFD. Just look for the Contests threads with the most posts/views... those are usually gaming-related.

Anyone in the Toronto area know if there are any places that sell NTSC-J xbox 360s? I heard the Pacific Mall might sell some games but I don't know about consoles. I'd go check it out myself but I'm 2 hours from Toronto... but if anyone has some info I might drive down. Thanks for any help!

Call up Game Centre - http://toronto.ibegin.com/retail/game-centre, only store I can think that might have it. Your best bet is still probably going to be playasia or Ebay though.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had Goomba price out Play-Asia for me and shipping to him in the U.S. seems to be the same as it is to ship to Canada, I guess they are coming straight from Japan? I will probably go with Play-Asia but I'm worried about being hit with massive custom fees. I have been searching Ebay and find japanese games but no consoles so far. I will probably end up going with Play-Asia in August, although the price drop probably won't affect these consoles. I might just have to buy the 60 GB 360 so I can keep up with having one of each SKU. :)

Actually most the NTSC-J ones are region locked based on looking at Play-Asia's list. As for what games I want... I don't really know yet. I have an xbox addiction is all. :)
Hey if someone knows where I could find Silent Hill 2 used and fairly priced in toronto i'd appreciate it.
Saw it used for around $22.99 in Kingston over the weekend. I suppose that's no help to you, but I recalled your post and made note of it.

Does anyone know where I'd be able to find the Orange Box on 360 for cheap? I already own it... but it's pretty much the only game I didn't get at EB, so I didn't get the guarantee on it. There are a few minor scratches on the disc (from the 360 burning it), but it wont let me load any of the games on the disc. Anyone know where I can get it cheap?

Blockbuster is probably the cheapest place around right now, it's $34.99 used

blockbuster also has disc resurfacing for 3.99 You may wanna try that first.

One GTA 4 mission wouldn't load at all.

Got it resurfaced.Worked like a charm.

Print it out and they'll scan it in store for the discount.

Fill the checkout, see if there's a spot for coupon input. There's a short barcode at the bottom of their coupons, so it might ask you to input it.

so i'm looking for a wii fit cover thingee for cheap... anyone know where i can get one so my balance board doesn't end up looking disgusting?

I guess this is the best place for this question.

To anyone that bought the Soul Calibur IV Limited Edition in Canada, was the game inside the regular Canadian edition, as in, with English/French on the back of the packaging, or was it the US version, with just English?

Check Toys 'R' Us. I saw a wii fit thing that had a yoga mat and board cover skin thing for I believe $19.99
anyone know the cheapest place to buy Oblivion for the 360? Just the regular edition, doesn't have to be GOTY or anything.
Honestly, I can't think of any time I've seen this game on sale anywhere. Your best bet is probably getting it used at EB... unless someone else here knows of somewhere else.

Can someone check at EB in store how much is burnout paradise , dead rising , call of duty 4 ,saints row , forza 2 , and bioshock . all for the 360 . All used .
I checked their US site but they might be different in story. If anone hworks there or visits that place and can tell me how much one or all those games are i'd appreciate it.

This is pretty much a general shipping question. I won a PS3 through a draw the other day. I already own one so I'm looking to sell it, so far it seems ebay is the only one that will secure me a sale. I'm just wondering what the cheapest and best method of shipping would be, and how much would it be?
