Cheapest price for an iPod?

If you are a teacher or student, I think you can get a slight discount at the apple store for education.

go to apple.com, click store and look for the link to the SFE

Go to store.apple.com.
On the right hand column just under the 800 number, it says "More Stores", click Education.
Under Shop For Yourself, click either Find Your K-12 or Find Your College, depending on what school you are going to.
You will have to search for and select your school.

Generally, you get about a $30 savings, and shipping is free regardless.
I did that, and it didn't say anything about iPod's, so no luck?
I just did it to double-check, and it's right there on the front page, a little ways down. "Shop the Ipod Store" and there's pictures of Ipods. Maybe the school you go to has an effect? Are you K-12 or college? I dunno what else to tell ya! :?:
Guys, is a 4th generation iPod, that holds 2500 songs and 10 GB for $120 a good deal?
Wow, which one did you get at? If I found one that cheap, I might get it over the iRiver.

To Alfonso, I advise you look at all the other mp3 players out there (especially iRiver h120). Same price, you get a remote, longer battery life, better sound quality (both players are great), and it has nothing to install on your computer (the best part for me since I find iTunes a little tedious). Just a recommendation, have to say the iPod is a good player. Also might want to check out a Dell DJ and other players like that...

Doesn't matter since you connect the iRiver through USB and it'll show up at an external hard drive. But already since you already use iTunes, an iPod would be good too. I would have to say go either way...
Now, I have an iMac, with iTunes on it already. Does having an iMac make a difference on which I should get, or what?
No difference at all. iTunes is a simple download for anyone now. iPods are still king of the ill, with I believe Nomads being right up there in terms of quality.

I don't really know if iPods are kings of the "ill", but I don't think you can really go wrong with it.

Best deal out there I could find was to get it through Target.com using a 10% coupon out there. $270 plus tax isn't great, but doesn't suck.
