CAGiversary!
Feedback

After much anticipation I present...the CC 50% off sale! Let me preface the list with a few comments. This is 50% off the regular price--49.99 will be 24.99, 29.99 will be 14.99 and so on. The price that shows when the game is scanned will be the 50% off price. Essentially, the included games should range in price from $4.99-$24.99. Each individual title's price was not on the list and I'm not about to scan every game to find out. :)
Second, I was not able to confirm this directly since the price changes will be downloaded over Saturday night; however, this list is printed directly from CC internal website. I have no reason to believe any of these titles are wrong. This does not prevent CC corporate from changing these prices or titles at any point during the week. OK, I'm sure everyone is sick of me covering my back so let's have some fun...

EDIT: This sale is actually UP TO 50% off. The 50% is not guaranteed. Some will be 50%, some won't. I'll list prices for games as they come in. I apologize for getting anyone too excited.

EDIT: I've changed the format slightly. I'm listing all games alphabetically w/console listed after when necessary. I just don't have time to type multiple titles multiple times. You understand, right?

EDIT 2/6 3:35P EST: Well, it seems there has been a lot of hype and not much substance so far. This list is legit as the scans on page 9 will show; however, CC corporate is not known for downloading prices on time. There may be more price drops Tuesday morning since, if not all prices were downloaded correctly, corporate won't realize it until Monday then download them Monday night. There is also speculation that the sale will increased as late as 2/20-21 for the President's Day sale. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find out anything else until Monday at the earliest. I am going to go ahead and post prices that are listed on the thread by fellow CAGs. I can't confirm these so I'm counting on other CAGs for accuracy. Essentially, lower your expectations some but don't give up yet.

Thank you very much to twiztidjester for answering the many questions that came in while I was posting this topic. I appreciate your offer to help w/the list. I just wish I would have noticed it before. :(

Also to demonmanTNA for providing a scan of the list since I'm scannerless. X-Division rules! TNA on PPV Sunday, 2/13!

There are different value classifications for the generic stamped games. It looks like pretty much all of the value groups are included in the sale. These might not make a lot of sense (even if you work at CC) but check them anyway.

value bin 19.99-PS2 & Xbox
value bin 9.99-PS2 & PS1

Well, I think this is it. Let me know if I left anything off or made any bad spelling errors. I will try to post prices as they come in. Happy hunting, everybody! :D
What the shaq fu... I come back from getting a little sleep and I was expecting to hear a lot of "MAN CC IS DA BEST, THESE DEALS RAWK" but instead this "sale" looks to be a bust. I'm very sorry to everyone, I didn't even as an employee see this coming and I should of known better.

As one person said, it could be possible that CC is hyping up all the games that have recently gotten marked down thru this sale. Thinking about it, I think whomever said it is most likely right.

:(
1.should have,

and no, it's wrong because there are games that come up at the full $50

Godamn this thread jumped from 3pgs to 25 in less than 10 hrs!

I checked my local CC (which incidently is hella far away :p), seems nothing was on sale. Thety did have a bin setup and they had employies filling the bins, but the games were at reguluar price. I try again on tuesday when I get paid.

Lucky, I did not go to CC today but thanks you all for the POST :)

I am going pickup: Thief (XBOX), Taiko Master (PS2). Also, I may check all Karaoke Revolution 2 & 3 Bundle :)

Holy crap, Taiko is so much fun...I would have never thought of picking it up if it weren't for this sale...If you don't have it, buy it.

Hmm, I see Steel Battalion on that list. If anybody finds this on sale at their CC, I have been looking for it forever and would be eternally grateful if you got it for me.

I went to the on on airport hwy. and with list in hand, and the only thing I bought was taiko drum master, I left 1 for someone else, DBZ:taiketsu came up 6.45(or something like that) but I scanned viewtiful joe ps2,demon stone, golden sun:TLA, a couple of jamepacks, castlevania:LOI,FFTA . and a few others,ALL were regular price! There was another guy there also, scanning games, he only found theif for xbox, he was working off the master list from the CC employee. I saw he scanned wario ware for GC regular price...Oh well at least I got taiko! :D

I never expected much from CC this time around, and at the very least I wasn't disappointed. I had family visiting from out of town this weekend anyway, so I couldn't have taken much time to check out the sale anyway. Hopefully, CC will have another real sale again sometime in the future.

Good score on MP6 from CC, though I doubt you'd be able to pull that off more than once. I guess she missed the part about it being $44.99 instore?

I'm surprised they even price-matched a website, let alone an online-only deal.

must had someone working there who didnt know the pm rules. Your lucky they pm a internet site usually you will never find a store to do that

The sale worked for me. I picked up

Final Fantasy VII - 7.50

Thief: Deadly Shadows - 15.00

Outrun 2 - 10.00

Max Payne 2 - 10.00

Castlevania Lament of Innocence - 10.00

Tekken Tag Tournament - 7.50

I just got back, I picked up..

Zelda: Four Sword GCN $20
Pokemon Pinball GBA $15
Golden Sun: Lost Age $20
Metroid: Zero Mission $15
Ninja Gaiden $25
Outrun 2 - $10

I checked the CC in North County San Diego and didn't find any games on sale. There were some bins with games from the list in them but the games I checked scanned full price. I'll try again later in the week to see if anything changes.

I was totally unhappy with what I found.

I did find Taiko for 35, but I'm just not sure its worth it to me. I was really hoping to find FF XI, but for some reason all the copies dissapeared from the store not that long before the sale.

I found a few ten dolllar games, Polar Express, Backyard Wrestling 2 and a couple sports titles. Nothing I was really looking for. Not a horrible sale, but not that great either.

I ended up going to BB and getting the 5$ universal remote (I can now turn my PS2 off without getting up, plus its supposed to work with 5 other devices) and trading in another 10$ racing pack for 20$ in EB credit.

Thanks a lot to the OP and everyone that put time into giving us information. Had I found FF XI I would have been very pleased, I just didn't luck out.

i just went to CC today, i only got Taiko since thats the only thing i could of remember/wanted at the moment... good deal ^^

maybe i'll go back later after the superbowl for metroid zero mission/fusion or any other good nintendo game deals =P

CC is the only store that PM internet ads, as long as its a retail store in area :)

I've had Best Buy PM internet ads from CC before.

I picked up two final fantasy XI's (the extra is incase my brother wants it) i figure if i decide i don't want to play it i can always ebay it.

I paid 60 for Taiko, 40 for a second drum, and I would easily have paid more, it's like now one of my favorite games ever. Go back to Circuit City and pick up a second copy of hte game (so you can get a second drum, since the third party one is around that price anyway), because 2 player is soooo sweet.

THe only item I tried that scanned low was GBA Prince of Persia. $15 was still more than I felt it was worth. Maybe if I had access to my consoles but a bunch of games that might have normally been tempting at $20 I just couldn't get up the interest to spend.
you guys get excited way too easily, its like a message board full of nerds on prom night.
So says the board's #3 ( by a small margin) poster.

I was going to CC anyway today to get the Trainspotting and True Romance dvds so I thought I'd see what they had. Pretty dissapointing as others have posted. I don't think there are going to be many ebayers buying carts full of games on this one. They had a bin laying out full of games, but everything seemed to be priced at or around what it normally is minus a little. I dug around and found Onimusha 3 for 12 bucks...not great but not too bad.

Well I went and nothing was coming up as part of the sale. None of the games that are on the list were even marked either so I kind of irritated some of the employees by asking them to Price Scan a bunch. They also really didn't have much and when I asked a Manager about it, all he responded was that indeed the games were marked and were on the shelves, to which I responded that I had thoroughly checked and had found nothing with a red dot/sticker, to which he said that if they aren't on the shelves than all the games must already be in their usual "Value Bin" of games section. I came up pretty meh on this one.

Whoever said that they were probably just hyping up all o ftheir PRice Drops was probably right. I might go to another to find a taiko Drum Master but still, I really don't want to spend all that much now.

The one in Lake Charles didn't even have signs up for the games advertised 50% off.

Hell, some of the employees implied that the 50% was already taken off games that reside in the bin (That even though Silent Hill 3 has been $15 for atleast a month, that it was somehow included on the sale for the price of...$15)

Another thumb down for Circuit City.

On the upside, I bought the Double Jump Phantom Brave guide for $5 at my local EB.

MY CC had next to nothing. Saw a bunch of signs for a "red dot" sale but didn't see a single red dot in the entire store. I did pick up the last two taikos for $70 (2 player) and Hot Fuss - The Killers for $9.99. So not too bad.

So here's another bit of gossip I've heard through the Grapevine. This week's sale (assuming there will be another markdown later) hasn't really started yet...

Supposedly the price update happens TONIGHT.

Take this with a grain of salt.

Oh god, I really hope not. I'm hoping on either the rumor that it will be next Sunday, or not at all, because I will not be able to get to a CC till next weekend. NOOOoooo

THe one here in fort wayne Red dots wasnt up BUT they showed me a List and it only showed 12 games on it TOTAL. I then showed them the list off this site and they said 90% of those game on the list if they have them will only be 10% off ...

You should probably at least say what that receipt is for in the post with the receipt scan. Or not  More red herrings

well, my circuit city said that they didnt have a list of what was 50% off so they would be starting the sell tomorrow Feb (7th) kinda works out better for me, Ill be there when they open.

I hope that the real sale does indeed start tomorrow because I really want Shadow Hearts and Baten Kaitos, but on a good note I scored one of the Final Fantasy Bundles and found a mint copy of FF II (SNES) with box, maps, and manual for $28!
