Hey guys, we got a new list of games this week for Clearance. I won't be able to post the entire list until Friday(next time I work) but there were some gems in there. If someone has posted this or has the full list, do what you need to with this thread(long time reader, first time posting a thread like this)

Here is what I can remember(I'll add more games as I remember them until I get the list):

OKAMI PS2 $16.96
I stil need to pick up Okami but the Wii version is coming out next year. Maybe I should just wait for the port

some good deals in there thank op
Thanks for the info... looks like my wait for Okami continues.

Looks like it's a hunt for:
Project Sylpheed 360 $16.96 (and replace my $19.99 BB copy)
Custom Robo Arena DS $16.96
Full Auto 2: Battlelines PS3 $16.96

Maybe Bullet Witch if I feel like tossing away $17 + tax. :D

Don't forget about the $15 off $100 or more coupons at CC, which I think should still be good for another week. Find enough clearance games and other stuff to bring it up to $100, and you'll get $15 off. :D

thanks op,this along with the 2 $20 or less games for $30 makes each game $15(well,thats how it happened last time I bought 2 $17 clearance games during the 2 for $30 sale)....so I'll get 6 for $90,then one game at $17 bringing me to $107 before tax. After the $15 off of $100 coupon I'll be at $92 before tax..not bad for 7 games...or I could do 6 and a magazine to just put me over the $100 mark just to use the coupon....hmmm.....

I actually liked Bullet Witch way more than EDF. I beat Bullet Witch, and I didn't even bother with EDF after the first several levels.

Also, I need to pick up Okami.

Wow, price drops on some good games, too bad I'm on Christmas cutoff (I don't by anything for myself after black Friday). I'll try to pick up Okami for as a gift for someone. I'll be holding out on the Wii version, and I'll be adding Metal Slug Anthology to my girlfriend's Christmas list for me.

Thanks OP!

My CC had 1 Sylpheed left and a few FA2s.
My CC had 1 Sylpheed left and a few FA2s.
I need to run by CC on the way home, so I may need to do some checking in advance and see which ones would be worth running over to.

Thanks for the info, though it wouldn't be worth me having anyone pick up Sylpheed for me, as shipping would kill the couple of bucks to save what I paid $20 + tax at BB. FA2, that's another story.

Went to the Huntington Beach circuit city and was able to find a single copy of Okami amongst the mess of ps2 games. Also picked up a copy of parappa. :D Rang up with no problems. Thanks OP!

For the heads up ! Got Metal Slug and Project Sylpheed for that nifty $ 16.96 now only if I could Bag Grim Grimore for that price that would be sweet !

GG is $20 at Wal-mart, EDF too in some places.

:wall:
There are about 4 games I'd like from that list, but I'm going to hold back until the next 30% off clearance games sale.

Here's another option to consider, buy two more games or $32 worth of other stuff and use the $15 off $100 coupon - it's good until the 15th.

i wont have time to go out tomorrow and check since i work all day and night. These interest me though.

Lunar Knights DS $16.96
Tomb Raider: Legend 360 $16.96
Project Sylpheed 360 $16.96
Metal Slug Anthology Wii $16.96
Full Auto 2: Battlelines PS3 $16.96

FYI ,Carmel mtn and clairmont store in San diego r sold out of okami. I got the last copy @ clairmont mesa. At both stores, I ask the employees @ each store if they have anymore. They responded "no". All the other games were in the store and the clearance price were correct. Happy shopping

Parappa and maybe Full Auto 2 for me. The demo was fun.

Then maybe Nintey Nine Nights. Seems like an easy hack n slash I can play with my little sister. Is N3 cheaper anywhere else?

This is a sweet list! I'm in it for Lunar Knights, Okami, Metal Slug Anthology,Trauma Center, Elite Beat Agents, Final Fantasy V GBA, and some more when I have the cash. Thanks OP!
I just want to see the full thing...
Me too, I wish we had the full list because I'll only get a small window to go tomorrow morning and then I have to start studying for finals and crap.

Another thing, is the sale already live? Some of you are already talking about getting the games... or is that to go back and PM later?

I'll have to check this out on my way home. I did want to wait for the wii version of okami but i'll pick up the ps2 copy anyway. Can always sell it if i change my mind.

Nothing as correctly marked or moved to the bin yet

But what about control? There have been a ton of rumblings with this game, centered almost entirely around the different control schemes included and whether or not Metal Slug Anthology can work with the GameCube and classic controllers. Here's the verdict: Control could be better, but you'll most likely find one that works fine for you. In our opinion, throw away five of the control schemes right off the bat. There's no reason to use two controllers on this one (nunchuck to move and Wii-mote to attack/jump, motion control for throwing grenades), and there's certainly no reason to use the "nunchuk only" control scheme that makes the game one-handed and odd. What it comes down to for us is either the Wii-mote on its side (like the NES days), using the d-pad to move, the buttons to jump/shoot, and flicking the controller to throw grenades, or just caving in the use the GameCube controller.

It's a bit frustrating to see so many control schemes and not more than two of them that really make sense though. None of the control setups (aside from GameCube and an odd motion = moving one… blegh) allow for grenades to be mapped to a button press, and for some reason the GameCube controller also doesn't let you use the d-pad and not the analog stick. That means that with all the crazy "use your Wii controller upright as a virtual arcade stick" crap that was put in the game there isn't a single mode that lets you use a d-pad along with all button presses for the game's actions. Granted if you don't mind using the analog stick you're fine with the GameCube setup, and if you're anything like us you'll just end up tracking down a few arcade sticks to do things right anyhoo, but the control choices really are odd. *Please note: If you're going to go about the arcade stick method, you'll need to find sticks that take input from the analog signal rather than the d-pad.

As another final note on control, there's no support for the Wii Classic Controller at all. While we don't have a solid answer for you as to why this is the case, there have been more than a few rumblings about the reason, but mostly the consensus was that there was a discrepancy between SNK and Nintendo on whether or not the classic controller should be available to developers for full retail games just yet. Regardless of why classic control can't be used, we'll just state the facts; it can't be. It's a shame, it's moronic, but that's the way it is.
thats bull i just bought 2 copies of okami this weekend for $30 each. Can i return or pricematch them to $16.96?
Yes, you also get an extra 10% back.
Yes, you also get an extra 10% back.
sweet, thanks for letting me know! I have another question, can i use my gamers club card to get an additional 10% off?

I picked up Bullet Witch, Okami and LOTR BFMEII, great deal. I didn't see that Elite Beat Agents was also clearance, will have to pick that up too.
Is Def Jam worth it at that price?
I didn't like Icon at all. The fighting engine was too simple and boring and seemed a tad unresponsive. It's nothing like Vendetta for Fight for NY. The only upshot was that you could import your tunes on 360 and have the environment jump to the beat.
Yes, you also get an extra 10% back.
You won't get back the additional 10% anymore matching a CC price on something you purchased at CC. They only match their own prices, not beat them. Just like BB does. Changed a number of months ago, in fact.

Does anyone in the inner circle know if CC is doing a 30% off any time soon?
Did anyone try anything not on the list yet?
I tried Odin Sphere, rang up $39.99, and Earth Defense Force, rang up $19.99. One store had them all pulled and marked and I didn't notice anything good that wasn't on the list.

I did get Tomb Raider Anniversary for $16.96 because it was mistagged.

Every time I use the Gamer's card it is an adventure to check out. Add the $15 off $100 coupon and it takes about 20 minutes to cash out.

gona try and get these games:
OKAMI PS2 $16.96

Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II 360 $16.96

Parappa The Rapper PSP $16.96

Couldn't find Okami, but got a copy of Trauma Center. If anyone wants to trade (even an opened Okami) for my sealed Trauma Center, pm me!!

There was a guy with a list that worked for circuit city and he showed me the list :) here are a few games I noticed that weren't posted.
