Not as severe, but yeah like that. I forgot to contact them today, but I will tomorrow. I want to find out if we have any recourse in this situation.
Ditto. Got to tinker around with it and it's worth the points for sure.
What is it made of?

Cloth? good poster paper like the poster sets? Cheap poster paper?

Question: OK, I should know this because I registered a 3DS when I got my launch system. But now I got another one for my son (using the GS trade-in promo for a DS Lite) and was trying to register this one on my wife's Club Nintendo account. Our accounts are not linked as family accounts. Do the 160 points show up right away or does it take a while?

I got no survey and no coins when I registered it. The site did nothing when I hit the register button. Yet, when I put it in again it says I already registered it. Is that the way it normally works? It seems to me when I did the first one it gave me the 160 points right away and said something about the extended warranty or had me do a survey or something. It just did nothing tonight. Is it just Club Nintendo being flaky? I noticed it was really sluggish when navigating pages.

Edit: It does show up on the "Products Registered" list. Just no coins for it (expecting 160!).

Edit #2: Got points right away for a post-play survey so I don't know what is up with the 160 for the 3DS.

If the coins don't appear by the end of today, try contacting Nintendo via their web form. They should be able to get things situated for you within 24-48 hours.

EDIT: Actually it slipped my mind earlier, you should have got a survey and afterwards you would've got the coins credited immediately. Something definitely went wrong. Submitting a web form should help to resolve the problem regardless though.

After registering my 3DS and doing a bunch of surveys, I'm already platinum for the year. I would save the rest of my upcoming coins but I really want to make sure I get the second Game & Watch Collection in case it sells out.

I completely forgot about this. But I went on to do the surveys for Nintendo Video and Pokedex 3D (which I forgot to do within 7 days on my own system) and noticed I still do not have the coins on that account. I got the 40 coins for linking the Club account to the eshop on the new 3DS, but still not the 160 coins for the system - so that's kind of wacky. I do not have the option to do a registration survey for it in my "To Dos", either, though the system does show up there (indicating the 40 coin link bonus). I contacted via the web form just prior to reading this - but thanks for letting me know that was the way to go. Their support site is not user-friendly as you would expect a link right from the Club Nintendo pages to this webform but instead you have to go through regular support just the same as if you have a hardware problem.

Can you add two 3DS to the club nintendo and get 80 coins for linking to the eshop or only one? Can you get coins for 2 different 3DS systems-160 each or not?

Aren't you allowed to get points for multiples of the same product if you make your account a family account? I'm not sure, but I think that's the case.

I think you are.

2 New Intend to Buys are available.

Something seems wrong with the Club Nintendo site, as several images appear to be down.

EDIT:
Just found out that the 20 Ambassador Games will be worth Club Nintendo Coins, so that's 200 free coins on top of the 200 you'd get for registering it and linking it.

Do DOA and SSF4 for the 3DS not come with registration numbers for Club Nintendo? I bought DOA new and SSF4 used (from GameFly so it should have everything in it) and neither of them had codes.

Yes, you can.

This is how family accounts work:

You have one account, which you can turn into a family account. From here, you can create up to seven more accounts within that one family account. All eight accounts will be treated as separate accounts, with the exception that all coins are pooled together within the family. As such, you can buy and register up to eight of any game or system, register them one per account, and have the collected total of all eight registrations available to spend on any of the accounts.

For example, if you were to buy eight copies of Wii Fit Plus and register them all under Group A with registrants a-h, Group A would have a net collective coin balance of (8*50) 400 coins before doing the surveys. All eight registrants would have access to all 400 coins, but each registrant would only have registered his one unique code for the game and subsequently only be able to fill out one Post-Play Survey; all eight accounts would have one Post-Play Survey each, giving another 80 coins. They are all treated in the database as individual accounts, which are linked through a primary key to the group account, allowing them to share coins.

I knew full well who developed the games (big DOA fan), I just thought that all games on Nintendo systems had them. Phoenix Wright on the Wii had a survey that gave me coins, it felt like a logical leap for SSF4 to have a registration code.

Also some Ubisoft games were shipping with Club Nintendo codes, I think in the UK though. SSF4 also contained them there as well.

Only games published by Nintendo come packaged with the PIN used to register the game. Games not published by Nintendo (licensee games) will not include a PIN card and cannot be registered" only Wiiware games have survey to get coins so it was so mistake on your part. wiiware list http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/gameslist/gamelist.jsp?revealed=true&dsie=&sh=&gf=&pf=Capcom&wifi=false&ww=true&dw=&mic=&pap=&vc=&man=&al=&rf=&nf=&pp=&sf=&ef=

Just filled out 700 coins worth of surveys, bringing my total to 800. I was debating which 800 coin prize to redeem for, the Hanafuda cards or G&WC2; I ultimately put in an order for the cards because Parachute and Octopus with Parachute X Octopus feels like a pretty lame "collection."

Even more hopeful that Japanese/UK games become part of Club Nintendo in N.A.!! What an awesome way to get Xenoblade in the hands of true fans in a region where a game wasn't released... (hint, hint, Nintendo of America)

Hmm....that's actually by Nintendo? The last one I really liked was the GBC one (although to be fair I don't play all of them...)

Tetris is really the only block puzzle game I like, so maybe I should I2B

I am new to this and I haven't signed up yet. I have some questions:

1) Do unused codes expire?
2) Do the points reset at the end of the year/ever?
3) Should I wait until 1/1/12 to start the program?

TIA

1 - After 5 years or so
2 - For your Yearly Status, yes. Overall usage, only if you haven't used them in 2 years.
3 - Club Years end at the end of June, so my advice right now is no.

I have to say I am really disappointed in Nintendo customer service on this. I went away for a bit and actually forgot about this but I had contacted them via email right after I posted this on August 14th. No response at all (and no coins)...

for the Wii registration do I just have to type in my Wii serial and they will give me the coins? or I have to link something like DSi?

also, are the new players choice titles stackable?

meaning if I already had Twlight Princess, can I use the code from a TP Players Choice also?
Sorry for the Double Post, but you can now register your NES Ambassador Games if you are a 3DS Ambassador.
Yes if your 3DS is attached to your club nintendo account they should show available for a post play survey right now.

You have to link the system now. Too many people were getting random Wii serial numbers and registering them from ebay pictures.

And yes, I'm pretty sure you can register both an original game and a Player's Choice version. If you have two versions, try it out and please post your result.

oh the Wii thing is stupid, my friend has his Wii but doesnt hook it to the internet

WooHoo! Just 10 coins away from platinum. I have some extra games but I am probably going to save those codes for next year. The GBA games coming later this year should give me enough coins to get me whatever reward I want.

Damn, I just looked and Club Nintendo changed their policy. You can't even earn coins from registering a Wii system anymore.

This is what the site says:

Thank you for registering your system!

Your system does not qualify for the 90 day warranty extension.
Visit our FAQ for more information on warranty registration.
Club Nintendo does not provide Coins for system registrations other than the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo DSi XL.

Earn Coins Today!
If you registered a Wii console that included both Wii Sports™ AND Wii Sports Resort™, your package included an insert with a PIN that you may register to earn Coins. Look for the insert in your system's box and enter the PIN below. (This Wii configuration was launched May 9, 2010).

Damn, I forgot about the surveys for the Ambassador program games - hopefully I didn't miss them. But I can't even check because I can't log in right now, The "Sign In" button just does nothing. Anyone else having this problem?

I really hate this 7-day thing. They couldn't make it 14 days or a month? The surveys never pop up right away and by they time they do I've forgotten about it. And a week goes by so fast, especially when trying to get 4 kids ready for the start of school (Monday).

Never mind - got in on another computer (WTF on mine though!?). Yeah, it looks like I missed them. There were 10 point registration surveys for each game, right? So that makes about 130 points I've missed (also missed on Excitebike, Pokemon, and Nintendo Video) because 7 days goes by so god damn fast and I never check that quickly. So first I get screwed as an early adopter with the price drop, I get some crappy games I'll never play, and then I don't even get half the coins for them :bomb:.

Fortunately, the ambassador games are showing up open until December 30th.

EDIT: Maybe they haven't showed up on your account yet?

The post-play surveys are. But weren't there registration surveys that you need to do within 7 days of download?

Edit: OK, now wait a sec... According to my Activity Log I downloaded those games on the 6th - only 4 days ago. I should have product registration surveys now for another 3 days still. Did they not give those for the ambassador games because they weren't "purchased" like normal games (even Pokedex and Nintendo Video) are?

Can anyone tell me on average, how long Club Nintendo (and the Nintendo store) take to ship? I haven't gotten my elite reward yet, but I suspect that's a bit off. I ordered a replacement Wii Fit foot from store.nintendo.com on Aug 28 and haven't received that yet either...

More or less random. Your elite reward should come before the years end... which means it could be another 4 months.
