[customspoiler=Basic FAQ]
-Basic Info/Overview
For those that don't know Club Nintendo is Nintendo's loyalty program of sorts. When you buy a Nintendo Console/Handheld, or a Nintendo published game, you get a pin that you can enter online to earn points. These points can then be redeemed for games, accesories, and collectable items. If you earn enough points in a Club year (300 for gold and 600 for platinum, which each have their own reward), you also receive a free bonus only available to a select few. You can read the full list of eligible titles, as well as their point value, here.

-How do I get coins for digital purchases?
In order to earn coins on any digital games you purchase on Wii/WiiU/3DS/DSi, you will first need to link you Club Nintendo account to your system. Instruction for doing so can be found here.

-Can I play the Wii games on my Wii-U?
Yes, but as of now, only in Wii mode. Native Wii U support might be added later on, but will most likely require the typical $1-$1.50 fee to transfer over.

-How do I play Wii games on Wii U
You will need to enter Wii mode on your Wii U. Instructions on doing so can be found http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wiiu/en_na/features_wii_menu.jsp?menu=wii_shop&submenu=wup-wiishop-ht-redeem-code"]here.

- If I don't spend coins for the entire year long period, do they carry over?
Yes, you can keep your coins past the Club Nintendo year they are redeemed in. However they only count toward gold or platinum status for the Nintendo year (june 31st-july 1st) they are redeemed in. After two years old points do expire, so make sure to spend them before then. You can check Coin balance information while, logged in, at the top of the page.

- Is there a list of previous rewards for people who accumulated a lot of coins? Similar to Square Enix's Ultimate Tier?
The extra rewards for Club Nintendo are for those that accumulate enough points to hit Gold or Platinum status (300 and 600 points, respectively). If you reach the required number of points in a year, Nintendo will automatically send you your reward, with no cost to you or your points.

- Does the list of eligible games update as the games come out or on some sort of schedule?
The list will be updated before the game comes out, do to things like Pre-Purchase bonus points. Any game you can buy, should already be on the list and able to redeem.

- When do they typically announce the prizes for Gold and Platinum?
Generally at the end of a Club Nintendo year, but don't expect it anytime soon. Usually it will take at least several months for them to ship it out.

- Is there anyway to enter multiple copies of the same game or device?
They have an option in the settings to make your account a family account, which means it can have sub-accounts that allows you to register multiple copies of games. The coins from all the sub-accounts all end up in the same main account coin collection.

- How does the site show what balance of coins you have to spend versus your total towards Gold/Platinum?
At the top right of the screen you can see the coin counter. The big number is your total coin amount, and the bar underneath is your progress to gold or platinum status. The number needed to advance is displayed directly above said bar. Redeeming your coins does not affect this counter, as it is only reset at the end of the year.

- How can I tell if a code is valid without redeeming it?
If you want to check if a code has already been registered, without registering it yourself, all you need to do is try entering the code while you are logged out. It will tell you the name of the game, as well as how many points it is worth, without activating it.[/customspoiler]

Let me know if I missed anything or if something breaks!

Zelda case arrived today and AC case shipped yesterday. I used retro Zelda outside, Zelda items (from the original case) inside, and Boo as the outside of the original case (reversed Bill/Boo fold).

Bruh i already ordered a zelda case and i've been trying to get the animal crossing one but I just registered some stuff and I have 390!!!! Someone help a brotha out mang

man i already have the original 3ds case, but the two new ones have really nice cover art. i think ill have to pass and save my extra coins for next year's platinum reward

if anyone doesnt want their bullet bill cover art, pm me! i have paypal!

I really like FZero.  Catchy music, and it's just a flat out fun racing game.  I have tons of fond memories of playing it and FZero X growing up so I recommend it.

Like most others, got my AC case shipping confirmation today, but my Zelda's still preparing order. Here's hoping it goes through.
Exact same thing for me. Ordered the Zelda case lickety-split, so I'm going to be peeved if it doesn't ship.

I ordered right away and got my Zelda case the other day. I wish I had enough coins for another one. It is way nicer than the $4 one I got off ebay!

I bit and got the Zelda case. I didn't realize they were reversible until now. I kept thinking "man, those are fugly" but the back version of the Zelda case is just amazing. I need it.

Got the Mario 3DS case in the mail, fits my Zelda XL just fine.  Needed to press the XL in a bit, but after a bit it will fit nicely.

Waiting on the Zelda game case and ordered FZero today.

Got my Zelda case today, fortunately it's perfect condition despite being in a plastic bag with no padding.  You would really think that Nintendo would be able to afford the extra 2 cents for a bubble mailer when this is stuff that most people would consider collector's items.  Also find it odd that Nintendo doesn't provide you the tracking number even though there's a huge tracking label on it.

I'm tempted to get a 2nd case. I have 460 points remaining with 60 more in post play surveys and I'll have lots more with games I plan on buying...but I'm hesitant to do it.

I plan on putting only games that I play all the time or ones that are my favorite. I'm sure I can easily fill 18, but I don't know if I want to split it between DS and 3DS or all 3DS. If I get a 2nd it could be all DS...

Hmmm. I'll put together a list of the games that would make the final cut to figure this out.

Nintendo's customer service is really good. I got a broken and ripped Zelda case on Saturday. Contacted them and received a new one on Tuesday. It also helps that I live a state over from their US headquarter, but still their response was quick. The new case is in perfect condition.

Finally got confirmation that my Zelda case has shipped. Can breathe a big sigh of relief... as long as I don't think about getting a cracked/busted case.

I was quite surprised when I grabbed the bag today and didn't feel any padding. Thankfully the case was fine. Now that I think about it, my Majora's Mask soundtrack also came in a package that had no padding. Nintendo really is the king of being cheap.

Lol got my case and I think it's hilarious that they used these baggies as packages. Oh well, idc as long as it comes in great condition Nintendo. Thankfully my Zelda case came in perfect condition, it's so nice! Ordered an Animal Crossing one and can't wait for it now :) hopefully it comes with my college acceptance letter 3 days from now lol
Meanwhile, in Japan...
that's awesome!! Love the soundtrack. Too bad US won't Get it (probably)

To share some negative experiences I've had:

I just opened my Majora's Mask CD, and despite being in a padded envelope, the case was cracked in a couple places. It's no where near as bad as my OoT CD case was though. It was so bad all the little nubs that hold the CD in place were broken off, and the disc was loose floating around the case. The front and back were destroyed also. So ya, not the best track record with CDs anyway.

My current problem is with 2 registration surveys not showing up for games I bought on 3DS eShop. The games are Donkey Kong (NES) and Game and Watch Donkey Kong Jr. I bought them in december on sale, along with a few other VC games. They all had registration surveys and showed up in my Club Nintendo coin history, except the above two games. I DID however receive post play surveys for them like normal, but I didn't complete them yet.

I finally called Nintendo yesterday to ask why this happened. First the guy said those games aren't eligible for coins. After I explained that I got post play surveys for them, and that all the other VC games I've bought were eligible, he retracted that answer. I gave him my info, and he said he would send it to the tech support team, and said I should hear back in 2-3 days.

I got an email overnight that says my problem has been resolved! That was fast, I thought. So I logged into Club Nintendo and the first thing I see is a registration survey for a pink DSlite...worth 0 coins :/

I'm going to call again today.

Does anyone happen to have a registration code they could throw my way?  I'm exactly 10 points away from one of the DS cases after completing all of my post-play surveys.  :whistle2:(  In exchange I can only offer my eternal gratitude.  ;)

They removed Reversible Pouches from the currently unavailable section...at first I got excited since I wanted to order them.

So I ordered a zelda case a while ago. My buddy doesn't use his nintendo codes so I came up on 500+ coins.

Should I order another case? Or I should I just save them for a later date?

Unless you really need or want the case for different artwork, I would save my coins for another item. Club Nintendo does put up some great items time to time and every month we get 4 new games to choose from to DL for coins. The games lately have been so so to me personally but they have had some good ones pop up before, You also have 2 years (not 100% on this) to use your coins before they expire.

Received my Zelda gamecase yesterday and decided to register my son's 3DS so I could get another case and *SURPRISE* Zelda case is sold out (which it so conveniently only mentions when I try to redeem points for one) unless they're just secretly limiting it to one per person.  The Animal Crossing case is still available...

Has anyone that got in on the Luigi Statue had any updates? Mine is showing: "Order Accepted Backordered"
I know this isn't very helpful, but I thought that I would mention that my Luigi Statue is also showing as 'Order Accepted: Backordered' and it is also showing as such for the members of another forum that I go on. So, I'm guessing it's showing up as this for everyone until they ship.

That's good news then. I was dreading it being backordered and then getting cancelled, but if it seems everyone has that status, then no need to worry.

im going to get it either way lol
I don't know what middlemen are charging for their services these days, but there are a whole bunch of them on Yahoo Auctions right now. Typically, right when they're first ship out to people is the time when they're the cheapest, so if you want one, this is your best chance.

Already got the Kirby Triple Deluxe soundtrack locked down for next month, too. Woo!

Yeah, that's what I said when I asked in the other forum. I actually asked the same question in this thread a while back and got mocked for it. lol

More on topic: I wish they'd bring back the ds hat racks. They extended the year of Luigi to this year right? Hopefully they'll bring them back but in Luigi form. They're so hard to find now. :|

I have a Golden Sun Dark Dawn code if you still need some points.

Just got off the phone with Nintendo and am pretty pissed off.

Since I never heard back about my OST, I called them to see whats up. After a brief conversation, he told me that Nintendo was waiting for me to send it back with valid tracking number (something I was never told, do not have an E-Mail of or was informed of in any way) and basically said that was why no progress was made. Now that it is so late in the game, I am quite certain I'm stuck with it, though he claimed that Nintendo will contact me in a couple of days with some sort of answer.

I emailed Nintendo and told them my Zelda case arrived damaged, and I had an order confirmation for a new one in my inbox in a matter of minutes, on a Friday night even. I'm glad they still have some on hand even though it says it's sold out.

This was my first time dealing with Nintendo support, and I'm pretty impressed.
