A Funimation 25 for 100 would be great. ADV & Geneon have been done. Bandai does a lot of cheap bricks and whatnot; Funi would seem to be the best choice out of the "major major" licensors.

You should watch it. Amazing show. After the first 20 episodes, you'll be hooked. It's bizarre but in a hilarious fun, adventurous sort of way.

I hope it never ends. :)

The only anime I've ever devoted that much time to was DragonBall Z when Cartoon Network showed it over... gosh, what was it, like five years or so? Of course, now that I've seen it all, I know which parts suck and which parts don't so that makes these new DVD sets a little easier to wade through.

Then again, I currently only own the worst season of all (Season 2), but you can't blame me since it was only $10.

That reminds me, I need to continue downloading some more OP episodes from Kaizoku, though they're a little slow (at least 100 episodes behind). Though it doesn't matter to me right now since I'm just as slow to download and watch them. :lol:
 
I think watching My-Otome Zwei is the most frustrating thing ever. By the time the next episode comes out, I've forgotten what happened last time. Who knows if I'll remember this episode by the time the final one comes out in August. A good OVA, but the three month wait between episodes is brutal.

Yeah, it was on for a few years until it was finished.
 
So finally saw Haruhi. I have to say it was better than I thought it would be, and got quite a few chuckles out of me. Which is a hard thing to do. Not that I don't like to laugh, but anime comedy doesn't usually work on me. I'll definitely be checking out the next volume, and hopefully the show lives up to all the hype.
 
If you liked the first volume, the rest of the series will blow you away.

Question: Cheapest price on Evangelion Platinum Volume 5? Right Stuf has everything else, and I bought them all, but I still need Volume 5 and I'm getting close. I noticed that Volume 6 of the Perfect Collection run has the same episodes. Any reason I shouldn't op for that instead?

Damn. It seems that fansubs for Death Note has dropped quickly after it was licensed. I was hoping to check one out before it starts coming out here. It'd be nice if AS got the rights to air the show.

So 2 of mine buddies and I went to see the Naruto movie earlier tonight. We were going to go to the Alhambra showing but it was sold out. Burbank was also sold out. So my friend found tickets to the showing at West Covina. We get there around 6:30 it's already packed. A shit load of kids waiting in line with their parents. We get seated at 6:40.

Everyone is waiting for the movie to start, this is where the fun begins. About 20 minutes into the movie the part where
when they take the princess onto the ship and she is acting
the whole screen goes black for 4 minutes yet you can still hear what's going on. Everyone in the theater is pissed. Kids yelling, parents upset. Then the movie goes back to normal. 6 minutes later the movie goes black again, the kids start chanting NARUTO NARUTO because they want to see the movie, which sucks because
that's the part where they fight the snow ninja for the first time which is the best part of the movie
and again you could still hear the acting going on. They finally fix it then a minute later we get this screen.....

They were running it from a windows PC! I was in fuking tears laughing. Not even a movie reel. It's from fuking windows. Needless to say most parent's going refund for the movie, I was just glad (although a little disappointed I didn't see my favorite scene) that I saw the movie.

I had a great time, god bless windows.

And my title is from the Strong Band Sings and Other Type Hits CD that the boys at Homestarrunner.com put out a couple years ago. It's a Limozeen song. You know, their wannabe 80's metal group? I need to change it anyway.

This is classic. My schools anime club uses a Windows PC but we know how to make things work, lol. How can a theater fuck this up, it is a movie theater. Wow, this is so classic, lol.
