Especially around this fine shithole.
Aren't you a little old to be emo?

Thats why I usually limit my goody two shoes acts to once a week. Like letting some moron over who doesn't get the clue that I'm slowing down for them specifically on the interstate. Seems as soon as I do, some other jackass nearly hits me. So I kinda wonder whats the point anymore.
Conan rules. End of story.
Once. But he's more machine than man now; twisted and evil.

Wtf. That makes him rule more.

I was convinced that was not possible.

I hate Jimmy Fallon more than anyone, but I like Conan...my girlfriend interned for both him and Carson Daly. Ugh...now Carson Daly is someone I'd love to shoot in the face, but Conan seems cool from what my girlfriend told me.

Fallon is nothing but an unfunny douche. Everytime he had a character on stage on SNL, I wanted to kick him in the balls twice. Once for being Jimmy Fallon, and once for have a character...

Probably for the best to stay up. Going to sleep now will fuck up your schedule for at least a couple of days, staying up will just do it for a day.

After just getting a voicemail from my bitch lardlord saying that a "company" is comming tomorrow to "inspect" for roaches, thus shooting up my blood pressure, I'm probably gonna be awake for a bit. Its an old house so its gonna happen, as we're not slobbily living here. Plus, I'll have to take our cat over to my parents are like 4 am.

And if they say anything about spraying then, I'll remind them that by law she is required to give me in writing that they are going to spray. I swear, they should have gotten the place professionaly sprayed when they bought this place, before we moved in...

They do have to give you 24 hours written notice, so calling isn't acceptable, no. They have to put a notice either in your mailbox or on your front door, with a specific time/date they're going to do it.

I'd also ask them that you require to know what they're going to spray before they do it, in case there's issue with pets (which you're taking care of) or allergies to insecticides. In my previous place, one type of insecticide they sprayed made my dizzy and sick to my stomach for some odd reason, though when they came out to do it another time, I brought that up to them and they used something else.
Supposedly they're just doing an "inspection" to let her know if/what needs to be done
"Inspection" means they shouldn't be doing any spraying, though it's usually a thinly-disguised excuse to poke around your place unsupervised.

I hope Oblivion runs well on my PC. I think I am going to nab it since it is on sale and I have a gift card. If it doesn't I will just bitch about how much I hate my processor and move on. I really want to upgrade, but there isn't any point since Vista and directx 10 are right around the corner, as are the quad core processors.

Worst case scenario, you could try Oldblivion.

My house is about a block or so from his parents' place. :whistle2:#

My laptop handles Morrowind with the expansions just fine, but I think it'd explode if I tried Oblivion.

It's not even that it's old...it's just not very graphically inclined, and can't handle the ridiculous system requirements that Oblivion needs to run, run quickly, and run without having to turn all of the graphical features down or off.

As long as I can run Spore (once it comes out), though, I'm not going to complain. :)

Less than a week before I leave for the dorms again. I should be packing, but Wind Waker is a much bigger temptation right now...
porn~!
I knew there was a reason you had that amazingly awesome PC.
So I won like 70 bucks last night playing poker and everyone is out of town today so I kind of want to drink and play some video games. That would be a fun night with nothing to do.
Whats going on as of late?
Worst case scenario, you could try Oldblivion.
I already have crash to desktop constantly and one of the expansions (forget which one). I passed on Oblivion when I went into BB since I figured I had enough RPG's and had picked up Vampire the Masquerade and Advent Rising earlier at CompUSSR.

edit: I thought you meant Morrowind until I googled it. Thanks! I think that would make it worth a try.

First day of college: Meh with lots of eye candy. Teachers=surprisingly friendly, but expected seeing as today's three classes were filled with only 34, 42, and 22 students respectively.

That Oldblivion is pretty cool, I wish I had known about it before I had actually played through it. I can run it smoothly on medium settings, but I just like an older look.

Well shrike, he the landlord just called me and he was saying that they'd be spraying too. He was giving the BS shit that he came over yesterday to the guy downstairs and he called the exterminators today. And that he thought it would be nice to go ahead and get rid of them for us. I reminded him that is required to have it in writing that he was having the place sprayed. I swear, does this idiot not realize that thats the law? And that it also covers his ass in case something happens to anyone...

Hey Snatcher, did you ever get Xbox Live? I don't think I'm gonna be able to play anytime soon, with school and hopefully getting a job and being busy and stuff. On my free time I'll wanna check out CAG for like an hour a day (getting away from my addiction) and I need to start Jade Empire, Ninja Gaiden Black, I really want to get Morrowind and beat all those so yeah...But when I'm done with those I plan on buying the online Street Fighter so if you wanna play I'll be able to.

It seems like it is going to be hard to read all this shit nowadays.

Anyways, would anyone know of a good site to by flags? We wanted to get a Italia flag for our living room and I was thinking of getting a Kentucky flag or an Old Glory flag.

Apparently not.

I hope you'll prevent his access to the place, since he hasn't given you enough notice. Should be interesting.

Believe me, I am. I'm thru playing games with these people. The guy downstarirs claims hes seeing roaches. Well, he just moved in almost 2 months ago. The landlord shoould have sprayed for roaches and everything else in the few weeks between the old woman that lived there and him. I mean he went and installed central AC and heat, he could have set aside a date for the exterminators. I really wish I could get a house. I really need to look at/for some programs that help people buy their first home. That way me and my partner can finally get our dogs back from my parents. Its been almost a year and we really miss having them around badly. And finally be done with dealing with piece of shit lanlords that don't know how to manage a property.

I guess in the meantime, I need to brush up on the lanlord/tenet handbook law thing...have the pdf of it sitting on my hard drive

Wow... I'm still regarded as illiterate in my community college's system, which is brought to my attention every time I try to sign up for classes.

When I took the placement exam, it was a written exam. The reading and comprehension section was comprised of a possible twenty questions, to which 19 I had correct. A year later, they replaced the written placement exam with an electronic exam (since my community college is on an "electronic" kick, which is still in full-swing), which had a possible 60 questions in the reading and comprehension portion. Now it says I have 19 out of a possible 60, as their system is terrible.

cool I may be on around 10PM EST. I'm going back to work now.

Hey Human, you still interested in Guild Wars? I been holding on to it for you. If you are, no worries about time, I'll hold it for as long as you want but if you decided against it let me know.
PS Drinking all day was a great idea.

Standard practice for cleaning up a place after someone's moved out (at least around here) is to get professional cleaners in and an exterminator. I'm sure the new heating and AC unit install probably kicked up a few of them, if they were hiding out.

Plenty of resources on the Internet to help with finding a home for the first time, just depends on what you qualify for. I've gone from apartment living to home living and won't go back ever. Small tradeoffs for much less crap to deal with.

And if you don't have a copy of this book, it's worth every penny:

Is anyone else ready for winter? I'm just looking forward to being able to bundle up, going outside with some drink and doing a bunch of nothing without sweating my balls off. Too bad cold weather comes standard with family gathering holidays :sigh:
