Contest (CAGcast #102) Win an HDTV, 1 Year of Old Spice, and Mad Catz Xbox 360 Pack!

Now while the idea is cool, they look really out of place. Not to mention, why do they need to be console exclusive? Wouldn't it be better to have face offs with them? I think so.

Plus like was stated above. The lightsaber can overpower anything and everyone. You get hit, some limbs be a fallin' and deaths be a happenin'.

CES 2008: Bugs Bunny Screws Over HD-DVD
I think all those people (like me) who have held off, will have to strat considering finally upgrading from hte usaul dvds. If there were sales numbers for this stuff, i would guess they would skyrocket for the blue-ray players this month.
I think this may be the first major video media change that porn did not create. After all Beta was winning over VHS till porn picked VHS.

I don’t think Goldeneye will hold up today, kinda like a Jean Claude Van Damme.

CES 2008: Wii Speakers or Wiikers

In true CAG fashion I would have love to been in the “meeting” where they decided this would be a good idea. Let’s make a huge ass crappy speaker that looks just like the Wii! Look it prints money!
Posted by jkam on 01/11 at 12:00 PM

Cool on the 5.

I don't expect karma to let me win this one. If they did, I would owe Santa for the next 10 Christmas'. Nobody likes having to wash the reindeer...

Just Like John Bonham, but Without the Sand Shark

That’s beautiful…

It’s too bad I only have 1 of the 5 required pieces to build it.

1. An old drum set (which I have!)
2. Rock Band (I am a cheapass gamer afterall)
3. Room to play (drums are in the cramped attic)
4. Fingers (I also have thumbs where my fingers should be)
5. Money (otherwise I’d pay someone to build it for me)

It’s times like these I wish my dad was Bob Villa, lol.

Okay now that’s just a little silly don’t you think? Plus it makes absolutely zero sense. Wouldn’t a light saber just cut thru everyone else’s weapons? How do you block that?

Can I get an amen? Yoda would kick everyone's tail!.

That sucks, I remember my bro and I would play golden eye for hours. I would have really loved to play this again especially with the online multi player. Oh well :whistle2:(

Sure, it sucks that Nintendo is stopping Microsoft from releasing the game on XBLA, but it sucks even more that Nintendo can’t release it on their own system. That’s where I want to play it, with it’s online multiplayer glory and all. Hey that’s an idea! Maybe the agreement can be that Nintendo allows Microsoft to release the game on XBLA, for the price of - get this, not money - but the opportunity for Nintendo to release it on WiiWare also! That’d make millions for both companies! Quick, someone get Microsoft and Nintendo on a conference call! I need to share this idea!

Hope I win so I can replace my 22" SD TV.

"wow that’s an amazing mod. I’d love to try to build one if I had a extra/old drum set.

With that much Old Spice, I could probably give up my bi-weekly shower. Woot!

"Probably for the best in the long run. While certain game types hold up well with age (adventure, cell-shaded, whatever pong is), the majority of titles tend to age poorly, especially in a field like the FPS, which is constantly improving itself."

Linky
I never got into Goldeneye multiplayer very much, though I guess not having a N64 of my own during the time was part of the problem (I only had a PSOne, and Twisted Metal 2 was my multiplayer game of choice. I was more of a PC FPS multiplayer sort of person, playing through Doom over the network, Quake III Arena online, and Codename Eagle (BF1942’s predecessor). I think that the last two online FPS games that I seriously played were Tribes 2 and Battlefield 1942.

Perhaps people simply yearn for a reminder of simpler FPS times, when the innovations that were made in the game were still new and amazing, and the fond memories associated with their experiences, which is why they want Goldeneye for the current generation. As for this news byte, it is never good to see a classic game held back due to company politics.

Here's mud in your Goldeneye...

I remember Goldeneye fondly. I also remember the exceptional Perfect Dark which was patterned after it. It was fun times but I think I just outgrew it and FPS in general. They feel limited to me nowadays. Sucks that it can’t come out for the fans that would want to play an updated online version though. Oh well.

CES 2008: Keyboardus Maxiumus Coyoteius

As ridiculous as the price is and the likely short life span - this is one of my favourite gadgets out of CES - been waiting ages to see a working version. Me want!! (Only complaint is the power cord)

Here's Mud In Your Goldeneye

My Post:
Goldeneye was a great game back in the day. I’m happy with the fond memories I have of this game with friends, then possibly having them soiled by playing the game again, only with random people on Live screaming or rapping into the headset. I guess it’s not too bad it didn’t make it onto Live.

About the 5 friends referral. I have told a ton of people to check out the podcast both the CAG Cast and CAG Foreplay.

"I pay for all my games and so do you.”

Say, wha-huh? Sure, I don’t care if you get them free or pay double price, but you’ve talked many a time about getting games gratis. What gives?

I entered a contest and was an ass at the same time! Yay, internet!

CES: 2008 Keyboard
That keyboard is ridiculous! I was looking at backlit LED keyboards and this is pretty histerically priced.
If I got one free I’d use it.

CES 2008: Soul Caliber IV: A New Hope

I loved Soul Calibur 2 for the GameCube, and I thought that the inclusion of Zelda was really cool, so I don't see any reason why they won't do a great job with the Star Wars characters. Yoda will be balanced somehow, as there not just going to throw him out there and tell everyone good luck.

I'm not interested enough in fighting games or Star Wars to buy this, but I'm renting this or borrowing it from a friend for sure so that I can play as Yoda. It should be fun.

Wombat seemed like heavy apologist for Ubisoft, Sony, and Midway in this podcast. It's like he was trying to stick up for them so that they might rub their chins and go...
You know that Wombat. He doesn't seem so bad. Maybe we should send him some free stuff so that he can promote it on that podcast of his.
Fact is this Wombat. It's a douchebag move. You ever have had someone be a douchebag to you? It's not good, no matter how much your try to rationalize it.

Imagine if you Cheapy and you were doing a podcast and you said something Cheapy didn't like. Well Cheapy decides to cut you off in the middle of the podcast and he continues on without you. Perhaps he even calls one of the Shipwrecks to come and take your place during the podcast. Would you be all right with that? Sure you can laugh the notion off in a dismissive manner, but fact is that it's Cheapy's podcast and he can do whatever he wants and the only way he'll let you back on is if you do the things he tells you to do and say the things he wants you to sya. How would you react?

Bottom line, when you come down to the ethics of things, it's just not cool. I hope you make note that you understand this. Those three companies acted as cowards and I hope more people call them out as such. EGM could have said that they would be nicer to the companies and given then higher scores but instead they told the companies to screw off and kept their ethical integrity intact.

Unfortunately, Wombat can't, or perhaps won't, match and understand this integrity.

Here’s Mud in your Goldeneye, Or Xbox Loses a Rare Opportunity

"As a 3D shooter, the game hasn’t aged too well. While the promise of online multiplayer is interesting, I probably would’ve passed anyway. Still as CheapyD recently ranted, XBLA needs more substantial games, and this would’ve been another step towards that.

Posted by gunm on 01/12 at 01:17 PM"

Yeah, I'm a contest whore. :p

Here’s Mud in your Goldeneye, Or Xbox Loses a Rare Opportunity:

Yeah, I also have a lot of memories playing Goldeneye with my brother and friends. An online version might be cool but I feel like eventually that would grow old or start to diminish like other online communities.

This would have been sweet, but maybe Nintendo is wanting to put something like that out for its wiiware service. Hopefully with an option to use the classic controller.

Just Like John Bonham, but Without the Sand Shark

"This is pretty amazing. How in the world did someone mod this to work with the 360?"

It’s ashame because Goldeneye on XBLA would just be PERFECT. There were some good times with that game..rocket fights..paintball matches..hell, we even used to just punch each other!

My friends and I would put that code in to unlock ALL of those characters and we would pick 4 girls and have a bitch fight. Bitch fight with ROCKETS were awesome.

Oh and BTW “Xbox loses a Rare Opportunity” is much more win!

Not only did I send 5 of my friends UGO's game blog, but I asked each one of them to invite five friends as well, but in order for my chances to be a bit better, I told them to tell them to post dookie pics!
