Holy shit, I'm moving to Tokyo in three weeks!
There's no way I can bring all my stuff with me, so one lucky CAG is going to win 30+ games and a bunch of shwag (E3, TGS, etc.).

Simply post in this thread for a chance to win.
You must post something about Japan, winning my games, or what you would like to see me do (for your amusement) once I am living in Tokyo.

You may post as often as you wish, but that WILL NOT increase your chance of winning. One account/entry per person. You must be over 18 (or have your parents permission upon winning to receive M rated games) and in the continental US to be eligible to win. Winner will be chosen at random. Contest ends on or about 10/24/05.

Why am I moving to Japan?
Mrs. CheapyD got a great job and it requires us to move to Tokyo. Its basically an offer we can't refuse. I will still be able to run CAG from Japan and now I will be able to work on CAG full time. You can also likely expect new additions/features and possibly a new CAG sister website as I become Your Man In Japan.
Fear not! The focus of CAG will always be cheap video games.

I'd like to see him snort wasabi up his nose al la Steve O in the Jackass Movie. He should do it while doing a CAGcast so we can all hear him snort his guts out.

I'd like to see a picture of you popping that Sony bubble wrap they set up at a bus stop, or was that in Singapore or something? If that doesn't technically count how about fight a sumo wrestler Simpson's style over a pretzel? ;)

Tidbit: Osamu Tezuka, the master of Japanese comics, retold the life of Siddhartha in a serialized comic series in the 1970s called Buddha.

Good luck to you and your wife in Japan, Cheapy!

Hey I hope you succeed down there in Japan. I hope to see more cheapy deals and more heads up on new products coming from Japan.

How ironic. My friends sister just got back from tokyo TODAY cause she went to a wedding. She says she had a great time there. I'd like to go there someday.

Point to ponder while over in Japan: Why is it that most everyone believes that sushi originated from Japan (it started in China)?

Are you going to drink lots of sake and eat all the different types of sushi?

My uncle lived in Japan for awhile, as he was stationed at Yokota AFB. Japan is great from all he said, but don't be surprised if you feel claustraphobic.

As for the games, if I win, I'll keep a few and give the rest to members on here and they can share in my winnings.

If noone has said "Go to pokepark" Then I am going to be the one to say it, sure it may be made for 10 year olds and below, but comon, we ALL have a little Pokemon fan inside of us. :p

Remember, Japan has some of the most beautiful women in the world. So don't forget to take time to party and check out all the sites. Good Luck!!

Mmmm, nice collection. If I won though I wouldn't leave the house for well over a month... or two... Natural light and exercise is seriously overrated anyways. ;) Good luck on moving to Japan.

Japan is great. There is candy there. There are alot of asians there. There is a flag with a big red dot. There is soon to be a super-duper man there, who is giving away all his games. To me. Eh, eh?

hey successfuldropout, my birthday was also the 13th, so i wanna win all the stuff too
and i wanna see cheapyd interview the katamari and winning eleven crews in japan

I'm in. I want to see CheapyD pretend to throw Street Fighter style fireballs at people in the streets of Japan. (You can throw sonic boom's if you prefer.)

Hm,dont know if this counts but I'm jealous as hell. I've always wanted to go to Japan for the beautiful scenery (and of course video games) and now you get to live there! Consider yourself VERY lucky my friend :applause:

Other than wanting a hot coffee version of GTA SA, I must say that the new Fast and the Furious movie title-Tokyo Drift-blows. Especially when you cast Bow Wow in it.

I want to see a picture of tall, bald, white Cheapy D in a crowd of 5 foot Asians in the middle of Tokyo square or w/e that place is called the place that looks like times square.

Cheapy can now watch Japanese Anime the day they come out (Naruto and Bleach!), save them in raw format, take Japanese classes, sub title them, and distribute fansub on CAG!

This contest is insane! Never have I heard of someone giving away so much stuff.
Damn, if I win these games (which I won't), I wouldn't have to buy games for a year.

I would like to see you dress up as a video game character and moke video blogs about your adventures walking around and trying some of the wacky food!

I would PAY to watch your weekly exploits in Japan!

You must post something about Japan, winning my games, or what you would like to see me do (for your amusement) once I am living in Tokyo.

Wow Cheapy, good luck in Japan, say hey to Godzilla & Gamera for me. Never won Jack S**t in my life (much less any video games), but I figure it was worth a shot! Gimme some games Cheapy :)

Something I'd like to see U do? Hmm, dress up in full Hello Kitty gear?!?! I dunno...

I'd like to see Mr. CheapyD have a Japanese sword fight Kill Bill Vol.1 style...and maybe a porn with some of the KOKESHI ladies...you know what I'm talking about...ride the bone rollercoaster...OOUI! OOUI!

cheapy d, congrats dude on the new job and it looks like it brings other benefits to others as well ;) japan has kicked ass since its samurai days and is one of the coolest places to live. oh fidna black man, go to a karaoke bar with him, and sing "Don't stop till you get enough." freakin awesome dude :D and as you guessed, rush hour 2 is one of my favorite movies.

Good luck CheapyD. Japan's a great country, been studying it and the language for a couple years. Never had a chance to go myself, I really envy you.

But more importantly I want your games.

No matter how badly you'd like me to be a good CheapAssGamer and sell all that ShaqFu when I win it, I am definitely gonna keep all that great stuff.

As for Japan, that is awesome. For your own amusement, you should restock your entire wardrobe with poorly-translated English-print t-shirts that say things like "Touch the stereo make it hear that sound BOOM" and "sweet girl let us hot communication" and the like. I smell a conversation starter!

And please, tell us about the trains!

On your first day in japan, you should totally put some money in one of those street video games that reward you with an actual pair of panties..and send them to me :)

Wow! it'd be cool to live in japan. i'm going to visit there this summer and am moving to china in 2007. have a great time over there!!
