The Free stuff will probably be released today then the premium sometime later this week. Kinda a good idea since you can't do everything at once. MS is basically prioritizing how you will be playing the game.
 
Between this, the recent MUA DLC, the Forza 2 demo, and the announcements of Condemed 2, MUA2 and XML3, it's official...

I don't know why people are so excited over this DLC. It seems like it'll only artificially boost the life of this game by a short period as compared to what a full multiplayer mode could do.

As someone who finds crackdown insanely fun this is a big disappointment.
 
Nice, I just started playing this again the other day, and boom! New DLC! I guess the world of Live is making up for all the damn delays on the MUA DLC and it fucking up my save.
 
Wow, that is a lot of free shit. I'm definitely getting that tonight. I'm down with the premium DLC, too. My points are quickly disappearing now...yay, I guess?
 
After watching a video rundown on the new weapons in the PDLC, I have come to a conclusion:

Harpoon Gun = complete and utter OWNAGE

I just beat the game like a week ago and I've been playing grabbing orbs, killing bad guys and doing stunts in my SUV but this will def help me play more of Crackdown. You think the new DLC is related to the time of the Halo 3 beta, wink wink.
 
Hell I just went and rebought the damn game, I never really played it through and I have been looking for something new, then I saw this DLC, and I was like I had to have it...

Holy shit is that harpoon gun awesome. I already managed to get the body armor achievement too, just having fun with it.

I just started messing with the Keys to the City mode. That should definitely add a lot of spice to co-op. :D
 
so, what exactly do you get in the premium pack? guns / cars? new modes?

i thought the acheivments would be from free downloads?
 
Downloaded the update but didn't see the content in the marketplace or anywhere else. What gives?

//edit: Nevermind, there it is. I'm worried about installing it, I don't want my saves to be erased.
 
Haha I'm loving the new race modes, it reminds me of PGR with the city driving and guess what no damn civie cars on the road to get annoying. If anyone wants to co-op I'm down. This is great, good thing I grabbed 1600 MPs when I bought my live camera for the free shipping, chaching!

Edit: The racing modes give you racing xp so this is a perfect way to lvl up on that but I'm already at max. No more worry about running over civies and getting your driving meter decreased.
 
Love the new content. It is also nice to completely reset the bosses and go kill them all again now that I'm leveled up. The new cars are awesome. The new weapons are awesome.

It is all awesome.
 
Sounds like the game save deletion bug is tied in with co-op somehow. Might want to stay in single player mode or back up your saves until Real Time Worlds makes an announcement and/or comes up with the fix. Unless you like to live dangerously.
 
Damn, this update is SICK, the "Keys to the City" mode alone has probably added another good 25 hours of mindless, fun gameplay for me :)

It's a cheat mode but you won't get achievements and you can't save your progress. Perfect for just goofing around.

One thing I noticed is that they eliminated the option to turn Crime on/off. The only option you have now is to Regenerate Gangs which in turn just resets the whole game including your progress. You will lose all of your stats and start at zero. All the orbs will be right were they were before as well. Just make sure that you back up your save just in case.

Holy crap this was a fantastic purchase!!!

I could play the "Keys to the City" for hours!

Love the new weapons, try sticking a bunch of people to a car with the harpoon gun, then drive around....HILARIOUS!

The new gametypes are intersting, but I need to try them with a friend.
 
Wait, so with the "Keys to the City" I won't be able to regenerate all that gangs and keep my stats as it was? I'm on the last few gang members of the Volk. I wasn't aware it gave you the option to regenerate gangs/keep your stats so I can max them out. It's probably better then to just not download the free content until I max out my stats? I don't wanna have to start over to get that achievement.

Keys to the City is like starting with a clean slate that doesn't save or affect your saved progress in any way.

You start with no boosted stats, but you have the option of increasing your levels with a push of a button.

As already said, it's just for goofing off and having fun that has no impact on your progress.
