*DEAD* [Canada]Rogers Video 2/30 on PP'ed games (Aug. 28 - Sept. 24)

I went to the one at Brittania/Creditview and they only had about 4 games for Wii (Wings Island, Ant Bully, and 2 kiddy games), and nothing really notable for 360 (my buddy was going to pick up Battle for Middle Earth 2 and Battlestations Midway, but decided against it).

I then went to the one at South Common Mall (Burnhamthorpe and Erin Mills Parkway) and I picked up Scarface for Wii (they still had another copy and the Ant Bully was the only other Wii game they had) and my buddy picked up Enchanted Arms. There weren't many next-gen games, but they had about two shelves full of PSP games.


I might pass by today just to see if they restocked and update later on.
 
Okay: Two trips - One yesterday to get what I really wanted, and one today to give other people a chance on Tuesday afternoon/evening.

Admittedly many of these will end up being traded in/sold to friends, but all will get playtime first. I also left a couple gems (Pokemon Pearl, Mario vs DK 2, etc...) so as not to completely clear the place out.

Which city? That's my little "secret".
 
Of all the times for this to happen I JUST have to be OUT OF TOWN! :(

Anyone who may have scored some 360 titles and don't want them/or are willing to share their fortune drop me a PM, I'll cover shipping. I had some luck last time around and score AC4 and GRAW 2 (which I still haven't played but will eventually get to) so I'm hoping to get lucky again.

-C&C 3

Other things I wouldn't mind checking out but aren't top of my list are:

-Shadowrun
-Maybe LOTR or Monster Madness but these are probably just impulse picks.

I hate the fact that all my Rogers Video stores suck.
 
I swung by one this morning and they didn't have any Wii or PS3 games but they had a few 360 games. I picked up:

Vampire Rain(TIV 30 at BBV)
Shrek the 3rd(TIV 30 at BBV)

I'm going to hit up one more before the end of today. But the woman at the first one said to check back sunday.

There's nothing worth it in all of Ottawa, except Scarface on Wii and Pokemon on DS. I'm pretty bummed...I checked like 6 stores.

Still looking for Red Steel.

I went to four in Ottawa/Kanata, and still have two more to check out tomorrow.. the first one wasn't even doing it.. the second had some good dames, but no cases.. the third was the best and had games such as Vampire Rain, WWE SDvR 07, Madden 07, Red Steel, and a bunch of other 360 titles.. the fourth had been hoarded no doubt, as two of the shelfs were picked clean while the others held nothing but PS2 and Gamecube titles.

Ah well, maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

The Rogers I went to had Scarface and Tamagotchi for Wii. Maybe I should have bought them and added them to my Halo 3 preorder at BBV so I could get Legendary instead of Collector's.

It's at the Rogers in front of a mall with Zellers in Winnipeg? Don't know how else to decribe it as I'm not familiar with the area.

Nah, I consider Kanata part of Ottawa when I'm talking to other CAG's who aren't in Ottawa, heh.

I live in Kanata. I checked the two here .. oh crap, I just remembered there's a third! Rats. I only checked Centrum and Hazeldean.

I also checked one on Carling, one on Richmond, one in College Square, one on Merivale.

Which one had Red Steel?! I really want that! It's probably long gone by now though.
 
Red Steel was at the one on Carling.. I might go back there tomorrow, they had lots of stuff.. and we both checked the same Roger's in Kanata, I'll beat you to the third one, dammit! :p

Anyone picked up a good and complete Marvel: UA (360) from this? I'll trade my Viva Pinata, Prey or Oblivion towards it.
 
I got Paper Mario last night for Wii, and it came with two instruction booklets. So if anyone got that game and wants a manual for it because they dont have one let me know.
 
West Boulevard and 39th has the usual suspects: LOTR, LSWII, Kameo, FF4, TRL for 360. No PS3/Wii. Decent selection of PSP games though: Tony Hawk Project 8 among them.

Nabbed Mario Strikers (GC) and POTC (PS3) as filler: both were kind of "hidden" behind other games. What's best is that both are in near-perfect condition. =)

Selling POTC for $20.

wow two good scores on the ps3, the only good ps3 game I have ever gotten was MotoStorm. All there is at mine is a copy of Pirates of the Caribbean that has been there for EVER
 
While I really disliked the Pirates demo, I've really kinda gotten into playing the actual game. It's far from a "keeper" as I'm sure there's close to zero replay value, but I'm more than getting my money's worth before I trade it in.

Damn man, i was there just yesterday and they didn't have shit all. Nice score thought, maybe rogers in the Hamilton Area restocks on thursdays not wednesdays.

I dont know any good psp games but mine has probably 15-20 psp games. What are some titles to look out for. I got Valkyrie Profile for $19.99 new when I was in the other day. Also I know some people wanted transfers so if anyone wants to trade me for it let me know what you have :)
 
it seems every RV has the usual junk like X-Men, Prey, Kameo, Tomb Raider, Perfect Dark, and Gun.

So if I see any of those grab them? Also one game I know they have is Sid Meier's Pirates! is that one any good? I know I loved it on the pc. Also btw anyone who doesnt have a star rewards get one lol I've already wracked up seven free rentals :D

If you see the highs/mediums get them. Don't open the shrinkwrap or seal in case. If you can pick up the games, that would be great.

picked up Zelda and Transformers today for wii and traded them into BB. Zelda was TIV of 30 while Transformers was 24.

Funny thing about transformers, after I purchased it I opened it up and the disc and the book for the 360 version were in there lol. gg rogers.

RV at QWueen & Dixie in Brampton has one whole Wii game, Farcry. A few decent PSP games like Parappa and Alien Syndrome. Only a few 360 games (mostly sports), and lots of PS2 and XBox. No PS3 :(

I did get a good deal on an extended life PSP battery, I paid $30, previously $50. Very useful for the unbricking trick!
 
Went and visited the Rogers I tend to go to for used games as I was coming home and left with a goldmine.

Got a bunch of DS games I was semi sitting on for a moment like this as well as got some trade-in fodder (all 2 of them) as well as Rocket Slime for a friend. :happy

Looks like I really lucked out since I was out of town for a few days.
