How did Bruce Almighty appear in my order? It wasn't there when I checked out; just appeared in the confirmation email. Darnit, now I gotta call GS back in an hour and I'm already late for work. Oh well, if the $9.99 goes through, it's worth it.

I'll tell you exacrtly how. You added Bruce Almighty to your cart long ago, but didn't check out. Then, today, you added Colosseum to your cart while not logged in, and during the checkout process, logged yourself in, combining both carts. It happened to me, and I nearly bought a second copy of Obscure, a game I already have.

ditto for me. I had 3 others games magically appear in the cart too because i had them in the cart when logged in before. Of course, i noticed it being a stingy bastard.

Could it actually MSRP for $10? EGM called it "obviously a small budget title."

Either way, I'll be ordering a copy later tonight... hopefully.

It's MSRP is 39.99.

thx OP. I ordered two copies (for me and my friend).

I hope they actually honor this but I doubt it. I remember EB had Rygar for $2.99 (i think that was glitch because it went back to $12.99 shortly after) and they didn't blink an eye... but Rygar was a really old game.

In this case, Colleseum hasn't even been released yet so they'll probably retract these orders... I'm surprised they haven't fixed it yet. Must be due to the 4th of July weekend.

Not that it matters (if it's truly $9.99) but is this game going to be any good?

Doesn't seem to be generating a lot of buzz as i'm perusuing various gaming sites right now for previews.

EGM gave it 7.0, 4.5, 5.0

Somehow I get the feeling that $9.99 was not a mistake and this will quickly become a $20 budget title everywhere

ordered one also.

The fighting system seems to be nice and complicated so it's not just button mashing. But there doesn't seem to be any story elements. I'm worried that it'll be battle after battle which can make the game really boring.

There are story elements - I took a look at GameFAQ's to see what people where saying about the import, there's a big story about buying your freedom back.

Err... screw EGM. Suckass magazine with biased reviews. I still remember that old Driv3r hype & praises from EGM. What a joke. That game is pathetic and it gets an 8 from EGM. So don't take their words. play the game and find out by yourself.

Deal is dead. If you search for the word "freedom" it still shows up at $9.99...if you press "Add to Cart" from the search page the game will show up at $39.99 in your cart. The product page for the game also shows $39.99.

I have yet to order the game, so I called customer service and played dumb and said I searched for the word "freedom" and a certain game shows up for $9.99 but is $39.99 when I add it to my cart. He knew what game I was talking about and said it was a typographical error and he couldn't honor the $9.99 price for me over the phone. He continued to point out there is a policy on the site about typographical errors. Just looked it up:

"GameStop.com Inc. is not responsible for typographic errors, price variances, or manufacturer delays. All offers, policies, coupons & promotions are subject to modification and/or termination at any time."

I hope they don't cancel the orders for the rest of you guys/gals who have already ordered.

It's Koei, so yes.

It can't have been much of an error because it was advertised as a deal. "$9.99, save $30.00!"

Or at least my hope says so.

Gamestop has changed the price back too 39.99, I hope they honor the price, but since it seems they charge when they ship this is starting to look grim.....

seems like they have been alerted and the only thing we'll get out of this is MAYBE a 10% off coupon or something to the affect

So are we going to have to manually cancel this if they bump the price back up--or will they send us an email showing the price error with the option of keeping the order or cancelling it?

Because I DO NOT want to get charged 39.99 without knowing prior.

*note before reading this* My order was not canceled nor has it's price been changed on my order yet*

They should just fire the person in charge of webupdates. I don't want to have to pay retail price for a AVERAGE game after having my hopes raised in regards to getting it at 10 dollars. So they should just fire the blundering fool that spilled coffee on the keyboard that caused the price error (not that that is really how it happened)

That is all assuming that they cancel the deal on us. Either way we shouldn't have to be mislead for their mistake.
Hopefully not, but I think everyone is going to be charged $39.99
No one is going to be charged $39.99, unless they order the game at $39.99. They (Gamestop) can cancel the $9.99 orders, or they can honor them, but they cannot charge more.

xmagxus: Nobody is going to force you to pay retail for this game.
Are they going to bump the release date up to the right one?
They changed it to 7/19 yesterday.
They changed it to 7/19 yesterday.
Thanks, couldn't get the page to load for some reason.
Any new info on this?

Mine is still listed in the order as 9.99 ready to ship on 7/19......
same here
i hope they honor it i ordered 2 1 for myself and 1 for trade... I think they will cancell though
If they were going to have cancelled it, they would have done it long ago I believe.

It's safe to assume this is going through, and they'll just take a loss on it in order to achieve some great customer satisfaction.

i wonder if its just one place or if someone puts prices up and another place ships. Meaning all they see is the order came though and dont look at the price of the game?

Well... they probably know about the error.

If they cancel the order, they can anger a group of people and potentially lose future business from them.

If they keep the order, they make alot of customers happy, in addition to providing strong release week sales of the game, which will make the publisher (Koei) happy.

They'd rather keep the order and take the loss, then upset everyone.

it does seem like its going to go through it Roufuss makes a good point it makes the customers and Koei happy...

to add this is my first purchase from gamestop so it drew my business

I think you're right Roufuss, I don't think enough people ordered it to make it a big loss, so Gamestop will put the orders through just so there wont be any hard feelings....

But who knows they may cancel it the night before it ships, although I don't see them waiting that long because they will want us to reorder it for the normal price..

My fingers are crossed though....
damn, missed it. it was one of the better games i played at e3 too...
That's good to read (not that you missed it, but that you liked what you played of it at E3), I hadn't seen much good press about it.

I think they would have cancelled these already. I was one of the first people to get in on this, and my order still shows $9.99...Overstock didn't cancel my order on the tomorrow people at 6 dollars and some change, every other price mistake has been cancelled on me was done that same day...

I believe we will get these, and I will be very happy when I do.
Did anyone order a spare? I'd buy it off you. Sadly I didn't get a giftcard in time
slidecage a few posts up said he was getting one for trade, you could PM him....
