GS should honor they Price cuz it list MSRP $39.99 - $30 Saving = $9.99. I have no worry about this game will be shipped it not cuz i have Metroid prime 2 & Zelda: Four Swords on the way home ;)

HELL TONS Of people were hogging the Best buy games for 5 bucks and saying OOO GRAB NCAA MARCH MADNESS it gets your 28 bucks at FYE or IM going to Grab this game and other games at TRU and RIp off Eb buy trading in 5 games and taking the game back for 50 bucks

Mine cancelled as well. Wouldn't really be mad if they had cancelled it right away, but to wait till the last day to do it really pisses me off.

I can understand being upset, especially since they waited so long before cancelling (and, yes, they cancelled mine, too), but you do realize that the $10 they "lost" by not selling it to you is made up for by the ~$20 they kept themselves from losing on each one of these by not fulfilling the orders, don't you? The $10 you would have given them wasn't going to be profit, it was going to go towards the ~$30 or so that they have to pay for each game. To refuse to shop at a store because of something so trivial as not honoring an obvious price mistake is ridiculous.
 
hey i understand it would have been a big cut in profits...im saying i have never shopped there and dont really plan on it unless they come up with better deals. I aint mad aint them; i say oh well im going to go by a dvd or another game.

I think it's messed up that they waited until now right before it's supposed to ship to cancel the orders when they corrected the price on the page at least a week ago (and thus realized the mistake).

This won't stop me from ordering from Gamestop.com because I never order from them to begin with except for the occasional deal they have (which seems to happen maybe 2 or 3 times a year). At least when EB has a pricing mistake they either honor it or deal with it right away if they are going to cancel it.

"Hmmm, there are 200 preorders for this game, and we only have 50 in stock."
"Hey Jeb, look at the price they ordered it at"

Not so much a cut in profits as an actual loss. They would have been selling it for far less than they paid for it. Multiply that loss by the number of people who no doubt ordered it, and the loss would have been huge. In my experience, GS.com has been pretty decent about honoring misprices, but this one stayed up on the site for so long before they corrected it, that I think too many people probably ordered it. If it had only been up for a few hours, I'm pretty sure they would have been willing to take the hit.

That's fair. It just seemed like you were refusing to shop there instead of not shopping there until a really good deal comes along. I don't buy too much from GS.com either, unless it's a real deal.

Yeah, waiting until now was pretty cheesy. If they fixed it a week ago, they should take care of it then, not the night before it ships.

told you they would cancell it on monday night , why wait till the night before it comes out its because thats the stupid way this company runs itself. Just like telling everyone that sulkiden 2 was in stock when in fact that it was sold out yet they continued to take orders for it. Heard the game is very bad anyways o well. Maybe everyone should call up and complain never hurts to complain
 
Did they send out a cancellation email? I didn't seem to have receive one, but I checked online and it says cancelled. I just wanted to get in this deal to screw them over; too bad it didn't go through.

Gamestop.com is crap in terms of customer service. Their site says they'll search through their 1000 stores to get you the item if it's backordered. When I emailed them about their policy and even gave them a list of stores within my state that had the games. They emailed back and said they don't do that and told me to cancel my order and go get it myself! I emailed them back stating that it's contradicting their own written policy on the web and that the email I received was a bit rude. They never emailed me back.

I agree.

Why the hell did they let the orders sit for so long, if they were just planning on cancelling. At least throw us some kind of gift voucher, saying "Sorry we fucked up, and even though we can't honor this here's a $10 dollar voucher, no hard feelings".

No cancellation email, no notice... I never would have known my order was cancelled if I didn't check this thread.

I'll just get the game when it's $10 in two months anyways. Like alot of other people, this is my last order through Gamestop. I don't mind that they cancelled it, but at least have some class about it.

I just called to ask about the cancellation. They said it was a pricing error, duh, and when I asked what they were going to do to make it up to me, they said "you'll be getting an email with further instructions...." Mysterious!
Either way, I was actually looking forward to this game. No way am I buying it now.

WE DO NOT KNOW WHEN WE ARE GETTING ANY MORE

From my past experience with gamestop.com, it doesn't seem like they like to take responsibility that they were wrong. Email inquiries usually just get ignored.

but seriously I hate GS I think in the last 5 yrs I've ordered maybe 3 times from them, the last one never even got here, I seriously hope the Merger doesnt adopt GS's website, I find it to be just a incompetent as thier customer service, longest I've ever been on hold for an EB rep is 2-3 minutes GS is like 15+ would have hung up but I wanted my $$ back...GS blows...
