gkleinman, founder of DVDTalk, will provide details at midnight tonight (6/16). I will update this topic as more information develops. Odds are that it is this weekend, but I don't know for certain. Sorry to jump the gun and post with so little information, but I know not everyone here reads DVDTalk, and I wanted to provide a heads-up.

Anyone interested in the sale should prepare their wishlist as soon as possible. DDD slows down considerably during these sales (at least, it has in the past), so it is best to have a list of what you want before it starts.

While I have zero desire to purchase or watch that show, I appreciate everyone who does buy it...the more the first two Nickelodeon retro DVDs sell, the more likely we are to see some form of a You Can't Do That On Televison release.

Sucks that you can't use the coupon on preorders this time, I guess good things come to an end eventually. Still a great deal whenever it comes around though.

I'd think that putting the money into making a show HD that wasnt before would be cost-prohibitive. I can see people buying a movie a second time if its only $15-$20, but not a whole set that may have cost $40-$50.

My American Psycho shows as being backordered.....did anybody else get this or did I just order too late and have to wait a little bit longer?

Also, this seems to be the cheapest place to get The Jacket as well, I don't know if anybody cares but it comes to about $15, everywhere else it is like $18 and up + tax.
 
If you have an HD TV go buy an upconversion DVD player. It will make you care less about HDDVD/Blue ray. :D DVDs look amazing on my TV with it. It makes me want to stick with DVDs instead of changing to a whole new medium.
 
I was looking ibto getting an upconversion DVD player but I don't want to get stuck with a dead player so soon. But I guess it would benefit me since I have soo many DVD's already.

Well I've seen Taxi Driver, so of course it will be one of the first I watch. Along with Rushmore and The Matrix (with commentary). :lol:

Oh, and to clarify I didn't pull Lost In Translation from my shelves, I have a 400 disc dvd changer and I simply entered the wrong number while trying to find The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. Once LiT started up I wasn't about to turn it off. :lol:

I thought about buying Cowboy Bebop this time around since I really, really want to watch the show again, but I'm waiting for when they release a box set hopefully later this year. Supposed to be remixed/redone or somethign like that. I keep hearing it being talked up.

Damn it! I want to order Yu Yu Hakusho Volume 31, which was supposed to have been released today, but when I bring it to my cart it says that it is not in-stock. how can that be possible? I doubt that so many people just decided to buy it. perhaps, maybe, but I seriously doubt it. Maybe they'll get more in stock. If I do decide to order it, though it is not currently in, does anyone know how they are with backorders? I've never orderd something from them that was back ordered before. Will they cancel it after some time, or how long is the wait normally?

I ordered the same day and I figured it could possibly show up today but nothing :( No big deal. It shipped on Friday so perhaps tomorrow will be the day. :D Our mailman usually drops the parcels first before parking the truck and going door-to-door.

I tried an upconversion DVD player, and i couldnt tell a difference. Though i think my TV has native upconversion in the set already....

okay...so i have a dvd purchasing problem (to go along with my video game purchasing problem :lol: )...i was in wal mart and saw EarthSea on dvd, so it reminded all about it, which i completely forgot....so i had to make a third and final order:

Were they pretty good at restocking things fairly quickly last Nov/Dec? Were alot of the things purchased last sale, like, I don't know, really obscure anime box sets, restocked this time around?
