gkleinman, founder of DVDTalk, will provide details at midnight tonight (6/16). I will update this topic as more information develops. Odds are that it is this weekend, but I don't know for certain. Sorry to jump the gun and post with so little information, but I know not everyone here reads DVDTalk, and I wanted to provide a heads-up.

Anyone interested in the sale should prepare their wishlist as soon as possible. DDD slows down considerably during these sales (at least, it has in the past), so it is best to have a list of what you want before it starts.

Got a box yesterday from DDD with my Harvey Birdman. Now all that's left is Big O II (which should arrive either today, tomorrow, or sometime early next week) and my Hakusho, which I just recieved a shipping notice. All I can say is that DDD rocks!

I got Grease last week, I got Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Shaun of the Dead, American History X, Reservoir Dogs, George Carlin - Complaints and Grievances this week, and I'm still waiting for Anger Management (shipped), Lewis Black - Black on Broadway (shipped) and Lewis Black - Unleashed (backordered).

Usally when the description doesn't show up it means they don't stock the item anymore.

I'm afraid he may be right. I just did a search, and several of the volumes, including v.04, don't show up. On a separate note, compared to the prices of the individual volumes, the collection is a heck of a bargain.

I figured you already had the others, just pointing out that it was a good deal, especially during the sale. I think I have a few Noir volumes from the FYE anime sale. I haven't had a chance to even open any of them. I'm not sure if I have v.04, but if DDD doesn't come through, let me know, and I'll look into it.

Wasn't able to post it, but I recieved my Big O II order on Wednesday. All I'm waiting for is Hakusho now. Great great deal. Can't wait now for the next.
 
I think I've gotten everything but Reno 911 season 1.
Weird thing is, I've gotten stuff that I ordered *after* the sale, yet I still haven't received that one set.

hmmm...ordered it around the 19th, should I start getting worried?
 
My Hakusho must have come in while I was away at Comic-Con in San Diego. So now I'm all good :D. Thanks DDD. You were great and this was an awesome deal. Can't wait till the next.

Sneaky, I was just wondering if you knew of any Ichi the Killer live action Prequel? While I was browsing the dealers at Comic-Con, I noticed a movie that claimed to be Ichi the Killer Prequel. Haven't heard of one yet. Anyhow, I finally was able to pick up a DVD copy of Battle Royale I & II over at Comic Con. Yay! No longer do I have to watch it on my computer.

It's called Ichi 1, it's not made by Miike, features the same actors (I think), anc that's as much as I know. It's supposed to tell you how Ichi became so fucked up. I've never seen it though.

Hmm...then maybe I should have bought it. Oh well, there's always next year's convention. I also learned that Casshern was picked up for U.S. release and was getting recut by the director as well as its dubbing. I wanted to buy a DVD copy of it also since I hear it is great, but all the places I went to were sold out. I hear that the dubbing is sounding pretty terrible and doesn't really fit the feel of the movie. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a non-US release of it at next year's convention without the dubbing.
 
Got my last two DVDs yesterday. After two and a half weeks shipping. One of the movies was wrong! Do I have to pay to ship it back or will they send me a mailer? I think this came up in this thread before but it's grown pretty big so I thought I would ask. thanks

DDD will send you a mailer. their CS is really good. just email them and they will take care of everything.
 
My Firefly box was very roughed up, so I emailed them and they sent me a pre-paid return label. I sent it back a couple days later and they just emailed me, saying that my new Firefly shipped out yesterday. Took a while, but it is going media mail both ways, then you factor in processing as well, so it's not so bad. Worth it for Firefly, heh
