Is anyone here excited around Dead Island or Warhammer 40k next week?

I'll be getting Warhammer for sure...because I have been a Warhammer nut since the first PC game waaaaay back in the day. As for Dead Island, the videos make me want it...badly.

Thoughts?

I will get Warhammer when it hits $20. I liked the demo but nothing screamed out that I need it. It's just another action game but in the 40k universe.

Dead Island I preordered for cheap, but it looks really fun. Sure it looks to not be perfect but I am sure I can get fun out of it.
 
Nope, no reviews on DI and the gameplay looks bland so far. Warhammer I'll definitely pick up at some point, but with no credit from Amazon yet (WINK, WINK) I don't see myself paying retail.
 
Thought Dead Island would be garbage since they announced it. Techland is a shitty developer, and nobody would give a fuck about the game if not for that completely misleading, irrelevant trailer.

Warhammer looks like a bad Gears clone, which is a shame, because I really like the Dawn of War series.

So, no, I'm not excited for them. I'd rather buy some XBL points and wait for Guardian Heroes and Radiant Silvergun in a couple weeks.
 
Depends what price Amazon sells them for next week...

Actually I'll probably wait on both, I have enough games in backlog, I'll wait until these two reach $20 or below.
 
I'm gonna get both but Dead Island first. Gonna wait for some reviews first, but besides the freaking amazing trailer. It does look like a fun game.

Space Marine, I'll pick up someday, I love the universe and art style but playing the demo it felt very average to me. Guns felt like they packed no power.

this, for me as well. nothing screams must have. saving my cash for Gears 3 and Arkham City.
 
I Got to admit the new Dead Island commercial that mashes music from the teaser with the actual gameplay REALLY soured me. As in it doesn't fit. Nothing from the teaser fits with the current product and nothing about that game was really ANYTHING that I originally hoped for from watching the teaser (besides having zombies). I Hope I can be proven wrong, but goddamn never when watching the trailer did I think I'd be hearing the developers striving for realism AND THEN showing how C4 with a fork makes a sticky bomb.
 
Just looked at IGN's review and a couple of previews, I'm definitely getting Dead Island.

Kind of like fallout with zombies, a perfect mixture for me.
 
Warhammer demo was alot more fun then I'd though it would be. They did a good job on the gameplay - it's everything I've always wanted in a Starcraft I mean Warhammer game.
 
I'm pretty tempted on Warhammer. I know nothing about the Warhammer universe, but the demo for Space Marine impressed me.
