I just ordered the 2 games at www.fye.com for those prices. I don't know if DBZ is really cheap at $19.99, but its still $39.99 everywhere else. This is online only because I called the store next to me and the prices are $49.99 for both games.

Also, I traded in a still-sealed Black & Bruised($5.99 ebgames) yesterday at the FYE store, and the manager took them back as new because it was still wrapped. He gave me $49.99 store credit for it and $19.99 each for sealed Splinter Cell($5 BestBuy) and sealed Rogue Ops($9.99 CircuitCity).

I also checked my bank and it has been charged the $12.52 for Mafia. More proof that I am getting mine. :D

My card has not yet been charged (there was a pending charge on it yesterday, but that is gone), but my order for Mafia (PS2) shows shipped with Fedex (I got an email to that effect, and I also checked my order status online). My order was placed at 5:24PM.
 
well i got the cancellation email for mafia too. when i check my order online, where would it say shipped.

mine doesnt say shipped, but the order is still online when i check it.

wtf is going on

i placed mine at 10:10. anyone else place it that late that is getting it?

if other people actually get it, and i didnt, i would be even madder
 
I placed my order at 5:52pm EST. So, maybe they decided to fill a certain amount of orders by who placed their order first, or maybe the shipping status is a mistake as well and it will soon turn to canceled?
 
Placed 5:32pm (4/15/04). I received the cancelled email but when I check on the website (your orders) it says shipped with a FedEx Tracking #. When I click on the #, there's no info from FedEx (may just be too soon). FYE's status of my credit card also says that it was NOT charged. This can go either way. Hopefully it's not false hope! Mind games, I tell you, they're playing MIND GAMES with us! :D

EDIT: I didn't receive a "shipped" email, though, like some did. It may just be late in getting to me.
 
I haven't received the cancellation email yet, but I didn't get my order in until 1:00am eastern. Do you think they are going in one by one or did they send all the emails already? My order still says pending.

Did the people who received the cancellation emails all order many copies?
 
My order was placed at April 15, 2004 at 5:15PM. I received the we are cancelling your order email, and now I received the updated order email with tracking no. I sure hope they send it. :)
 
i have a theory

im pretty sure ordered are dealt with as they come in.

so its possible the people that ordered early got their order shipped out before they caught the error

i got the cancellation email and only ordered 1 copy. but when i check my order status, it is still there, not deleted, but doesnt say anything about being shipped or anything. im still waiting for a reply from FYE

Mine says shipped 12:49pm, how about yours?

Also, everyone, please don't go crazy and inundate FYE's customer service with calls about whether yours has shipped or not shipped, etc. Maybe some of us will actually receive this if we keep it on the DL.

The way I figure it, all the packages are just sitting there waiting to be picked up and they can still rifle through them and pick out the Mafia/DBZ packages.
 
I do hope everyone whose order says it has shipped gets it....but it's also possible that having the package get assigned a tracking number and be prepared for shipping is an automated thing....

Can someone who has a tracking number check and possibly see if the item has left the warehouse?

Also, to the people who have gotten the email (because I haven't) did you sign up for an account on fye.com?

Again though, until you see it on the Fedex website as leaving the facility, you can't be certain it's actually shipped. A lot of times tracking numbers are assigned automatically....

I received an email saying Mafia was cancelled, then another email saying it had shipped. Checked the tracking number at Fedex.com, said no scan found. Sounds like a bust.

got the yankees-red sox series starting this weekend, and its the start of spring break. woot. its just a bummer.

it sucks that i dont have my PS2 either because it was getting DRE a week ago and i sent it out monday, cant wait to get it back though.

i was looking forword to playing mvp baseball 2004 all spring break, i was gonna start a padres franchise.
 
Finally got to check. My order is showing as being placed at 5:41PM yesterday, and it's status is listed as 'In Process'. Guess I lose out.
 
I just got my cancellation email.....so I definately won't be getting it.

Good luck to everyone who got a shipping email but definately prepare yourself for the game not leaving the warehouse.
 
They just canceled my order without an explantion.. Thats pretty irritating and not very good business I work retail and if I price something wrong I have to take the hit. Had the email stated oh we mistakenly priced the game wrong, Fine not one complaint from me, but to just send a cancelation notice with no explanation is total bullshit.

I see others got a reason why, thats cool. Seriously thought I didnt get one and I find it pretty unprofessional. I know in my store if I mark something 19.99 and its really 49.99 I HAVE TO HONOR it.

It would be really nice if we got it, but don't you think saying they "owe" it to us is a big much? Don't waste your energy being aggrivated....they've chosen not to honor the price mistake, you'll just get a form email back with some lame apology. Better to concentrate on the next deal.

I don't know if this makes it any easier but I'm thinking that those of us who actually had "shipped" status didn't really get anything shipped out to us. The FedEx #s as of 2am Sat are still not in FedEx's system. Should definitely be in their system by now. Does anyone have any tracking info besides that Not Scanned?

On my status page, it still shows as shipped and now they finally updated the part on the page where it states "amount charged to credit card" from $0.00 to the amount of my order. However, the Fed Ex tracking number provided is not a valid number....so I guess it's just a matter of wait and see from here.

Are you certain it is a charge, and not a hold?
 
if you guys do get the game, and i dont, wont i have more reason to argue against this?

how can they give it to some, but not to others, seeing as i put my order in when it was $9.99.
 
My order was placed April 15, 2004 at 07:04 and I already got two emails from them stating it was cancelled, but they are still holding the money for the game, they better not process it unless they send the game

Same thing for me. FedEx tracking number still doesn't work. But one thing I have realized in all my online shopping is that FedEx is not fast to update their tracking records. UPS is much quicker in updating.

Update: I just recieved an email from FYE about my order shipping. It came with a tracking number from the USPS which the USPS site sees as valid. It was also accepted yesterday (4-16), the day after the deal was posted. Granted this is just electronic confirmation that they entered a shipping number, but we'll see what happens. I'm not holding my breath.
 
but still, if some get it, and some dont (like me), isnt that wrong and unfair? like i put an order in, regardless of the time, when it was still at an error for $9.99. they cant just give it to the first buyers and not the rest, can they? man they will have a problem from ALOT of people if they only honor some peoples purchases.

also did anyone save or printout the page when it was at the error price? would CC or BB price match it that way?

damn, i shoulda printed it out.

what if you show them the receipt of your purchase, like the email you get, or your order status.

would they match that also?

I'm sure I'm getting my copy:

1) FedEx tracking number works and says that my order left the warehouse in Canton, OH yesterday and is currently in Newark, NJ.

2) My credit card has been charged (possibly a hold) the correct amount.

Sorry to those who didn't get in. I'm psyched to get this game at this price!
 
My order has started showing up again on FYE. Previously, it wouldn't find it. But it shows amount charged to credit card = $0.00. On the other hand, my USPS tracking number says "Your item was accepted at 11:48 pm on April 16, 2004 in PEMBROKE PINES, FL 33082".
