I just ordered the 2 games at www.fye.com for those prices. I don't know if DBZ is really cheap at $19.99, but its still $39.99 everywhere else. This is online only because I called the store next to me and the prices are $49.99 for both games.

Also, I traded in a still-sealed Black & Bruised($5.99 ebgames) yesterday at the FYE store, and the manager took them back as new because it was still wrapped. He gave me $49.99 store credit for it and $19.99 each for sealed Splinter Cell($5 BestBuy) and sealed Rogue Ops($9.99 CircuitCity).
I'm sure I'm getting my copy:

1) FedEx tracking number works and says that my order left the warehouse in Canton, OH yesterday and is currently in Newark, NJ.

2) My credit card has been charged (possibly a hold) the correct amount.

Sorry to those who didn't get in. I'm psyched to get this game at this price!
o shutup

Well, although my status page shows it shipped and my card charged, and I got an email telling me it shipped, the fed ex tracking number they gave me still does not work, so I'm assuming at this point that my game wasn't shipped and once I give up waiting and call to find out what happened, they'll tell me "oh, sorry, it was canceled." I'm not holding my breath on this one.

Longislandlady,

I'm in the same boat. My card says charged and I have a FedEx tracking number with no info for it. I can only think of two scenarios: 1. Someone did say it takes a long time for FedEx to update their site and they may not even work on the weekends, especially the "ground" shipping crew.

The other, and less optimistic is that our orders may have gotten as far as waiting for FedEx pick-up but then they were pulled off the pick up area when they found the error. In that case, we may have to call and request a refund back on our cards as I'm sure mine's been charged too. We'll probably know better what's going on tomorrow when FedEx should have SOME info on our tracking (if it's really been shipped).

Yet another update: My FYE order status page now shows the right amount charged to credit card. No change in shipping status at USPS site.

Since it's Monday now, I was just wondering if anyone's had a change in their FedEx shipping status. As of 10am, mine still doesn't have a scan record (no change). I'm just curious about the FedEx shipments, I think all the USPS shipments have the accepted in FL as their status.

Nope. No change yet. The tracking page still shows the following:

"No scan record for the following shipments has been received by our system yet. "

Hmm...my tracking number isn't doing any good either. If they charged me and didn't ship I am going to hit the freakin' roof.

I forgot to forward my tracking number and order info to work, so I can't check on mine until I get home.

This brings up the fact that FYE's order tracking page is horrible. Any other site gives you a password associated with your email address and automatically makes an account for you. I think you can get an account with FYE, but if you're like and only ordered the one thing, you need the order # and your email or last name to check on it Boo.

UPDATE: I came home to find Dragonball Z Budokai 2 waiting for me. So looks like early orders might have made it through! I don't see a debit posted from FYE yet, though I do have about the same amount in pending debits that I can't account for otherwise. WOOHOO!

Very cool PsyClerk!! I'm glad you got your game. It gives me hope that I'll get mine (I ordered Mafia though). Fed Ex number is still not working, but I remember a time I bought something on ebay (an expensive cell phone) and the UPS tracking number I got wouldn't come up. After awhile I started losing faith that the seller sent it, even though he insisted he did. Anyway, turned out he did send it when he said he did and UPS finally updated the info the day I got it. Duh!

So, I'm still hopeful.

Well, I just checked my credit card and I was definitely charged for my game, it's not just a hold anymore. So, if I don't get this game, FYE owes me a refund!

Fed Ex tracking number is STILL not coming up, so I guess I'll give FYE a call if I don't get it Wednesday and find out what's going on.

You and I are in the same boat. My online activity shows billing by FYE also (not a hold, but actual charge). My FedEX tracking still shows no info. I don't know how long FedEx ground shipping takes. I guess I'll give them a call also if I don't receive anything by the end of the week.

They finally charged my card (I had received a "shipped" email). My card had a hold the first day, but it went away. It now actually has been charged, but the tracking number still doesn't work.

My FedEx tracking number shows that my copy is now in NYC and will be delivered today. My credit card has been charged the correct amount. Anyone receive theirs yet or will I be the first?

Mail doesn't come for a couple of hours so we'll see. What shipping method did you use? I used their free super saver. I bet that the others who have a tracking number that doesn't worked chose the same thing. If you used a faster method, maybe that's why your number works.

Maybe I'm just grasping at straws here. :)

If my copy is in New York, then I'll get mine too (not holding my breath though - well, okay, maybe a little...heh).

I did.

It was the normal, "read our website, we are not responsible for pricing errors, blah blah blah" rhetoric. It was authored by "Ken R".

Disappointing that some people got their games, and other didn't.

I talked to Joanna at FYE. She confirmed that according to FEDEX, they never shipped out a package. Apparently, they believe that there price error policies cover situations when transactions have gone through. My charge on my credit card was complete, but since they never shipped the item, they feel they can just refund me the money.

Apparently, only a few number of games shipped. They called their warehouse to stop the others, but the orders were still left in the system as if they were shipped.

I can't believe this...you mean I didn't get the shaft for once? I actually came out on the good side of the deal?

What's their phone number? I looked all over the FYE website and they don't make it easy to find it. I think all of us that didn't receive our orders but were charged need to give FYE a call.

That's the most retarded thing! It's one thing if they stopped the orders from going out, fine. It's another to know that we not only received shipping notices and tracking numbers, but that we were charged for the game and not even contact us to let us know it wasn't being shipped. Were they ever planning on giving a refund or were they hoping we wouldn't notice the charge on our credit cards? That's horrible. I wouldn't have been pissed if they canceled my order, but I AM angry that they told me it shipped, KNEW it wasn't going to be shipped, then went ahead and charged my card and didn't even tell me anything.

Just wait until I call now!!

Those are my thoughts exactly, LIL.

I'm no lawyer, but I thought once they had the money, they were obligated to send the merchandise (assuming they have it).

Well, this just gets even stupider. The woman I get a hold of tells me that there was a pricing error and that they put in a call to their wharehouse to not ship the games. However, they don't know at this point which orders were shipped before they put in the cancelation order or which ones weren't. They have a request in to the wharehouse to get back to them and then, if they figure out that my order was indeed not shipped, they will refund me. However, they have no idea how long that will take!!

Well, needless to say I was furious. I told her that obviously, if Fed Ex doesn't have the tracking number in their system for 4 days, my game wasn't shipped. She said they need to verify that. I said this is disgusting how they didn't even let me know there was a problem and now they have my money AND the game and insisted on talking to a manager. Of course, the manager wasn't at her desk and I got her voice mail.

I left a message that this is unacceptable. I need the money put back on my credit card by tomorrow or I need to know that the game was shipped. They cannot hold on to both and tell me they don't know when I'll get it. That is illegal to keep both the game and my money. I told her I wil be disputing the charge on my credit card if they don't contact me TODAY.

I am majorly pissed! I would be angry but forget about it quickly if they said "sorry, we are stupid dorks that can't type a number correctly, and we are jerks for making you think all this time that your order was shipped, and we admit that we are thieves and were hoping you'd never notice you paid for something you'll never get, but now that we are caught, I'm going to issue a refund immediately." But this telling me that they are holding my money hostage like this is horrible.

I'll be promptly calling my credit card company first thing tomorrow morning!

This is a disgrace if they charged the credit cards AFTER they sent out cancellation e-mails.

My tracking # still doesn't show anything and if the tracking # doesn't get updated by tomorrow or if I don't receive the game by tomorrow, I am going to e-mail them.

They should have just honored the orders if they were already sent to the warehouse and assigned tracking numbers.

If you have a tracking number but no information, you can bet it is because your order got pulled at the warehouse. Waiting isn't going to buy you anything. Use the tracking number and call FEDEX.

To the people that got a Fed Ex tracking number that never showed up on Fed Ex, you should really call FYE now and get a refund. The manager never called back so I just called again. Before I was told that they had no idea when they would find out from the warehouse if my games were shipped or not so I could not get a refund. However, now I was told that they checked it out and my order was indeed canceled at the warehouse and my credit card was issued a full credit as of about an hour ago.

It would have been nice if they offered me some kind of compensation for their many screw-ups, but oh well. I was mostly concerned with getting my money back or my games and not waiting for them to wait for their warehouse (as you can see, if they really want to find out something from their warehouse, they can do so very quickly! I mean, I'm sure there's a freaking phone there!).

Anyway, if you don't call and insist on a refund, they'll probably jerk you around and give you some lame crap too. Call now and insist on a refund.

Longislandlady,

Thank you for the tip. I just called, and they refunded my 13 dollars promptly. The woman on the phone said I probably never would have gotten my money back if I didn't call. She said there was a "glitch" in the system. Kudos to everyone that got their game!

Dear Justin,
Thank you for contacting us regarding your order #
Please be advised that both items in your order were shipped on 4/17 via
USPS. Please allow 3 to 7 days for delivery.
We were unable to cancel the order because it was too far in processing
when we realized it needed to be stopped due to the pricing error.
Since the merchandise was sent, you were charged for the order. The
amount of the charge was $33.75. We honored the lower prices for the
items.
If we can be of further assistance, please let us know by replying to
this e-mail.

Sincerely,
Joanna

I just called their 800 (866) number and was told just to leave a message at the tone. No human interaction whatsoever. I'm really disappointed in the way FYE handled this and I believe borderlines on illegal. They send everyone emails that their order has been cancelled and then they charge your credit card the full amount two or three days AFTER the cancellation emails. Hmm?

I'll just have to try again later I suppose. I think FYE just jumped ahead of Best Buy in the bad on-line practice category.

On another note has anyone received Mafia or are all the received orders DBZ?

What number did you call? When I called, I got a recording in which I had to press 2 for the option to speak to someone about an online order. Then I was transferred to a real person. Did you call 1-866-FYE-PLAY (1-866-393-7529)?

I just tried the number and got through , so try again.

I called that number (thanks for finding the # by the way). I pressed 2 but then it said something like "All representatives are busy, please feel free to leave a message and we'll call you back in 24 hours (beep)".

I'll try again tomorrow since it's after five now.

Did anyone receive Mafia yet?? I ordered both games and I only received DBZ by FedEx today. In my order status page, it shows a charge for both games and they both shipped out FedEx. I was under the impression it would arrive in 1 package. If they try to screw me, then I'll just have to file a chargeback instead of dealing with them. Maybe I'll get the game for free.

omg.....i just went out to my mail and saw all 25 of the copies that i ordered sitting in a box in front of my house...........or........i just went outside and its 10 at night and nothing was out there at all because those bastards are bastards and their children are bastards and their parents are bastards and their....you get the point....those BASTARDS!

After a few days of my tracking number yielding nothing, I finally got in touch with FYE. Oh yeah, they cancelled my order. Oh yeah, they forgot to tell me. F**king idiots. They didn't refund my card either - not until I called them today.
That's one more retailer I can put on my "Never F**king Deal With" list.

I don't mind them cancelling the order, but it pisses me off that they charged my credit card. If they charge my card, they should send it. Here's the email I got:

Dear FYE Customer,

Your order containing the item “Mafia” for PS2 was updated to shipped in our system and charged before we could mark the item(s) as cancelled. This did result in a charge to your credit card for the item(s). This is to confirm that a refund for the full amount of the product and shipping charges, if applicable, for this item(s) has been issued to your credit card. You can expect to see the credit on your statement within in one to two billing cycles.

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused you. Please do not hesitate to contact us regarding with any questions or concerns related to this matter.

Sincerely,

I got that same e-mail, why should it take up to 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on the statement?!

I really wish something could be done about this. I am used to having orders cancelled all the time over price mistakes and I usually don't have a problem with them as long as the order is cancelled and the customer is notified promptly.

I am tempted to go to Planet Feedback and write them a complaint letter, not on the fact that they cancelled the order, but that they had already got the orders ready for shipment, assigned the orders tracking numbers, billed the credit card and then stopped the orders.

I'm guessing they mean if your billing cycle just ended. So you could have a charge this month, and the credit wouldn't be there until next month, thus 2 billing cycles. I'm guessing, so who knows... maybe it takes them a week to process the credit.

I recieved the cancelation email, but have not recieved credit to my account yet. I don't have my order number anymore though. Should I just call them up and ask why I have not received my credit yet?

Wouldn't hurt to give them a call. Don't know if it'll help either.

It seems FYE is very quick to charge you, but slow to give it back.
