I just called customer service about my two orders, which I placed fairly early on in the madness (still too late for Sims or Wario), after first being told that all my items were out of stock, she went to check and see if there was a chance there would be more stock arriving, she found our my orders were actually sent over to the warehouse :D

i advise to call and check

i doubt that the can, and if they would they would be slapped with so many lawsuits they wouldnt know what to do. More like overstock knew they made the mistake, but instead of cancelling they filled the orders thinking many of the people who got in on this order will return. Yea they migh to lost tons of money but they might get alot more then that in return business. I know for a fact if my stuff comes in real good shape i will shop there again[/quote]

I'll be the first one in line to file one. It just wrong to change the contract after signing one. I'm sure they now know about it .

Thats why I used a one time use credit card number from my real card, and put it to where they could only charge me the total that was specified.

I have $10 pending charge from OverSTUCK.com and $0.24 left after that on my PayPal. They can try to charge me more. I'll sue their asses for $0.24 hard earned Ebay cash :lol: .
 
I've got a theory on why this happened. I work for the government and our fiscal year ends in Sept and begins in Oct. Do some businesses follow that schedule as well? being these deals happened in late Sept. Maybe they had to hit some kind of level of profit for it to be a successful year or quarter or something
 
No one has been charged more than what their invoices say, why are you guys bashing overstock? This is rediculious, one of the greatest deals around and you guys are bashing the site for something they didn't do?

Why this topic was moved to "Deal and Shopping Discussions & Bragging rights"? Playstation.com deal is dead, Kmart SP deal is dead and dosen other ones are dead. It was moved so fast from the front page for some reason.
 
probally cause its dead, I wonder how many people look at overstock everyday now hoping this happens again. (I know i looke 3 times a day now)

I dont see how they could possibly be making any profit of these games, obivously the government section you work for hasnt told you that you have to pay for an item before you sell it, and Im pretty damn sure they paid more for the item, the workers, the packaging, and the shipping, than the customers did.

They probably paid for the item a long time ago decided it was taking more money to store it then it would to sell it at a loss. Or maybe they just wanted to draw more people to their site I bet they get three times the page visits a day now
 
i still say they are filling these in order of size.

i had 1 order with 10 games and 2 controllers and a 2nd order with 14 dvds


has anyone with orders comparable to mine in size had their orders shipped yet?
 
i got in on this pretty early and grabbed 2 games, and mine hasnt shipped...still says accepted and in process

i think its just random order how they are picking what to ship

UPDATE: My "Arc the Lad" just shipped. Just in case anyone was still interested.

So once again, "Arc the Lad" and the "X2: X-Men United" DVD have both shipped, each in a separate order.

you may be right, I had 3 little orders for myself (I've learned with these types of deals not to dick around and slowly add stuff, go for the top 2 or 3 things u want then make another order and get the next couple things. Repeat until either they are sold out of stuff you want, or got everything you want) and 1 big ordered filled with X-mass presents. The 3 little orders shipped, but the big one hasn't yet.

ive got 4 xmen 2 for xbox and 1 paycheck dvd on the way.. if anyone has an extra sims bustin out xbox and would be will to trade for any 2 of these items, please let me know (yeah its a long shot but just hoping someone will help me out?)
 
eh...im sure i will get shipped tommorow sometime, but i dont think they are shipping smallest order first, cause my 2 game order was put in around the second page of the deal when i saw it, and it hasnt shipped yet
 
Ad there I sat, all smug, laughing knowingly at these maroons trying to pile onto a "deal" that's obviously going to be rejected, ending in a slew of "Bastards! I'm a lawyer and I know blah blah blah can't do that! Let's from a class-action"-type comments.

And now the orders are going through, and I'm glad I held my tounge, as it would be very tired from eating my words.

Congrats to all who got in on the deal. I was too late to the boards to climb aboard myself (it was already on page 28, only 9 hours later), but I take some small pleasure in knowing that so many seemed to get in on such a great deal. And no small displeasure that I am not among that number.

My order confirmation arrived at 5:30pm -- an hour and a half before your post went up. I didn't post about it because my close (real-life) friend couldn't order, and I wanted to give him a chance to get some goods before I posted and everything disappeared. By the time I was ready to post, the crap had hit the fan.

I'm not mentioning this NOT because I want to make myself look cool. I just see you getting a little too self-inflated (a shout-out from Cheapy D? come on...), and want to make sure you don't grow into a monster.

I assumed he just meant it would have been nice if it had lasted long enough to be a front page deal. Maybe I misunderstood.
