Fuking republicans!! (and if your not a republican, at least you got that right)
Always a way to start a flame war. Who cares what political side of the bar they stand on, they are allowed their own opinions.

Punx and Grave were just stating the obvious. If the individual is in such a crunch that they are going to be poor after the kid is born, then why buy videogames. I am sure had this glitch not appeared, they may not have even thought about getting games. All those 2 were trying to say is use common sense and just wait on the games. I am assuming the individual has games, maybe if they want newer games, they could try trading their older games in and getting credit to get new games. Sure its nice to "spoil" yourself every once in a while, but if you've got a kid on the way and even have to think about where you are spending the money, you should just save it for the kid and the bills that come with it.

Yes, but my point is why point it out in the first place. I know I came down hard on those two, but hell I feel a little sorry for the guy.

Funny that you only quoted my Republican barb, you need to know that I come from socialistic old England. We care about our fellow man, unless they have a better looking car, then we key the fuker.
Like I said the guy was just venting, and if only men made the decisions about kids, I would estimate a lot fewer kids in the world. Curses to that female cat like contraption (pussy just in case you need a sign post).
Your crude language is unecessary along with your ignorant opinions.
Having kids is a 50/50 deal whether you are too blind to see that or not.

Yeah, it really didn't need to be pointed out, but it was and its over now, hopefully. I know what you mean, but they were just wondering why the guy even had to think about whether or not to purchase the games with a child on the way.

I was only pointing out the Republican part, because some people will see that as a flame towards there political beliefs.

the keying the car part. it sucks when it happens to you though; recently noticed a few on the hood of my car.

And why bring up your personal hardships in a gaming thread in the first place? Plus I could understand him saying that and then saying he couldn't buy the games, but he used it for a reason to buy the games, which confused me.
Your crude language is unecessary along with your ignorant opinions.

I'm not ignorant, far from it. But yes I have opinions.

I'm sorry if my colorfull language offends you, I will refrain from using the F word, I was hoping for a shaqfu, but alas it doesn't capture my misleading spelling.

Can you elaborate on your 50/50 statement, are we referring to every time you have sex you have a child. If so thats either a very poor sex life, or a rather heavy batting average. LOL

And I'm a little curious what do you do with your pirated noodles ?

Like I said he was just venting, poor guy. It's very stressfull to have a child or three. Suddenly everything is an expense. I for one have not bought the porsche I so wanted. Sorry to be so disingenuous, but to be honest I'm having a little too much fun in this thread. Funny thing is I originally posted in the thread to warn of EB's duplicity.

God, if I had not had kids, I would actually have a real personal life.
I have an idea. How 'bout you go sell all your damn video games and buy your family a health insurance plan. It always amazes me how some people will spend all their money on stupid crap when there are really important things they should be spending their money on.

How about you get off your ass, stop playing video games and go get yourself a half-decent job to provide your family with insurance. Then maybe you can take care of your family's needs, and could have some expendable income to blow on video games.

You're damn right you should feel guilty when you're blowing your family's money on video games when you have a kid on the way. Saving a couple bucks now on a video game isn't going to seem all that cool when you're starting at a $10,000 hospital bill. And that's only if nothing goes wrong during labor.

Hopefully, you'll get your priorities in the right place and start providing for your family like a real man.
HAHAHAHAHA

Know who the fuck you're talking about before you fucking go off like that.
I make $17.50 an hour, and I've been working every drop of overtime I could (and my wife has a B.A. but works in a hotel, job market sucks here). My health insurance plan (I work for a "temp" company, but we aren't really temps, just lowly contractors) - would have cost $140/week (about 25% of my income), so I never turned it on. I'm still paying off our damn wedding (in Vegas, also cheapass :D).

Also know what the fuck you're talking about...

Even if I had turned it on when we got married, like all insurance plans I TRIED to GET NO MATTER THE COST, it exempts pregnancies for 12 months as a pre-existing condition. They can only NOT call it pre-existing if you are switching insurance/jobs...if you have no insurance previous, they can call it pre-existing. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Learn something about health care before mouthing off.

P.S. I also go to school mostly fulltime as well as work fulltime/overtime, working on my Bachelor's in History & Computer Science, and I've been doing it as best I can for way to long. 'Bout 2 years left.

Not everyone that's poor is fucking lazy. All I was saying is, I'm gonna be poor, so I have to be more cheap-ass and worry less about the morality of it. Geez. Didn't expect someone to spaz out that badly.
Like $40 matters at this point...$40/$10,000, and we should not buy a single thing and sell everything we own? Great atmosphere to raise a kid and support a pregnant woman!

Anyway, I'm still surprised they shipped these, but aren't likely to pay out on the Paper Mario rebates...:???:

Sorry about the inadvertent thread-derailing.

Welcome brother to my point of view. And good luck with that healthcare insurance, I don't think people have any clue just how expensive, and conditional it is unless you work for a big company.

I know where you're coming from. I'm in the same situation. Graduated college with economics degree but no one will hire me because I've got no experience. And since no one will hire me, I've really got no chance of getting that experience so I'm stuck working as a "temp". It's been almost a year at my current assignment.

But hey life's like that and you just have to live it.
Damn, that was ice cold.
Truth hurts sometimes. Am I wrong?

I always love the 'job market sucks here' line.

Just keep going to school, and working. One day you will be president :)
Yeah. No one cares.
Only us bleeding heart liberals. To be honest I'm not particularly concerned about hardship, it comes to us all periodically. It was the attack mentality of some of the thread crappers, that grabbed my attention.

Life's a bitch and then you die.

Hmm, with that view in mind...maybe there really is no point to studying tonight. Yay for pessimism!!!

Argh! Why am I only finding out about this now!! Ah well, probably for the better. I already have a huge backlog and not much money. I don't think I could resist 40% off.

It was 56% off :bouncy:

Games came today: DMC 3 and Ridge Racer on PSP, one problem though...the UMD was not screwed together, so yeah it didn't work, luckily I just went to the EB at the mall and they exchanged it no problem.

We're all angels on the internet. Just a thought.

And if you got a kid...kid > your life because when you're dead, I'm the one that is going to have to exist with them.

My Untold Legends psp game came broken as well. Went to the EB in the mall, and not in stock....so i gotta wait until it is, or get $16 in cash for what i paid....id rather wait. Did get a free copy of FF: Crystal Chronicles guide while i was there at least.

Back on topic for good, I hope...

Anyway, I got my XB wireless adapter and four games (Capcon V. SNK 2 EO, SF:AC, Doom 3, Goldeneye: RA) today! To get all that for just shy of $100 is amazing. The best part is that even through I bought a used Net adapter, It came complete in original box, and mint. It even had the warranty card in it! This deal just keeps getting sweeter.

Wow, you dropped $100 just like that?! Although I admit getting caught up in it as well and spent like $60. Wondering what people aimed for. I mostly picked up cheap stuff under $19 and some games that had pricegrabber rebates, since the prices won't be dropping anytime soon and $5 rebate makes some of them free.

But there was also a side that thought it was a good opportunity to get the "rarer" games like Marvel vs. Capcom 2, etc. Anyone do that? I was holding back on getting DMC3, god of war, or shadow of rome - thinking they'll drop to $20 by the end of the year.

I got all my stuff in today............

Xenosaga II.........26.99
Lego Star Wars.........20.99
Devil May Cry 3...........26.99

Star Wars Episode III.........19.79
Silent Hill 4........7.91

The first 3 I forgot to add the CAG16
But the other 2 I used all the codes (CAG15, CAG16, SAVER, PPLAY15, and my EDGE)

So for about $110 (includes tax), I got about $190 worth of games

Strange. That sticker like receipt that you get in the package........shows that I bought each game (bought 2) for $0.01 each. That plus 1.95 shipping and no tax.....

Wario Ware Touched
Star Wars:Battlefront (PS2)

Grand Total: $1.97

These were in great condition overall.

Yeah, well...I actually had 3 items in my shopping cart from the day before - I was gonna order them with the usual combination of coupon codes, but decided not to at the last minute. Glad I did! When this deal/glitch hit CAG, all I did was load up ebgames.com, add the XB Net adapter, enter the codes, and BOOM! Yeah, I shouldn't have spent all the money, but it just means I won't be buying anything new for a while...

My Wipeout UMD was broken as well. The other ones were fine and in pretty nice shape for being used. Seems odd that several of the UMDs from EB have been like this.

Got mine today, packed slightly differently from last orders.
2 PO PS2 games, showing on the invoice as 4.79 each. I'm sure they'll be worth at least that much.

got my games today, but it looks like they went through their stock and got me the ugliest fucking copies they had. 3 of the games have the cover inserts all waterlogged and the disc are scuffed.
Can I go to a B&M location and exchange these?

Yes. I went and got my broken psp game exchanged for a 'new' preowned one.

So you were the one that took Battlefront! lol.

Anyways, I got my Burnout 3 and Red Dead Revolver yesterday. Good condition and all, but the cases had those big yellow preplayer stickers on them, so I switched one with a Jampack case, and one with an older game of mine.

To those who got this to work . . . I hate you all.

I buy from EB at least 4 times per week . . . I check this site a few times a day (more than I want to admit). And I missed this one.
56% off of everything preowned is you use every single code
Not 56%. Actual discount comes to 45.3% off the original price. (Don't believe me? Do the math.)
