You know, there's a real shortage in this industry now of original, unique, and fun games that really try and do something other than the cookie cutter FPS. Problem is a lot of them (BG&E, Psychonauts) sell for shit and so devs don't have incentive to keep creating them. Instead they make the next Halo wannabe or WW2 turd. When a game comes along that looks different (e.g. Dead Rising), I don't mind spending a few extra bucks in support of the developer. Wait for it used and they don't get a penny from that sale. I bought this game as much in support of the risks taken as anything else. I'll cheap out and buy used copies of the next splinter cell/rainbow six/EA sports rehash instead... It's just me, and it may be completely delusional, but I like to think I'm at least trying to support some new ideas by buying certain games new.
