Seriously, $150 for me. That was date money for this weekend so now I have to find BBY flips that I haven't exhausted so I can get another Visa.

If you're going to trade the game to BBY and get the CE stuff for free it's entirely worth it. The statue isn't perfect but nice enough to sit on my desk and the rest of the package has a lot of really nice little touches for Aliens fans.

Well they usually update Tuesday morning so we'll see but I'm not terribly worried about it.

I'm tempted to buy some Aliens games to flip but I wouldn't get them til Friday or Saturday in the mail at the earliest....tiv would more then likely be tanked. And don't need to be stuck with tons of copies of Aliens. Lol.

 
Damn. Code of Princess was on sale. Hopefully my local Best Buy has a copy even though it says it doesn't.

I watched a couple of unboxing vids and you're right the statue isn't anything special, but for $20 I decided to jump on it. Hopefully the game isn't as god awful as people say it is. Man, I feel bad for the people who spent 100 bucks on this though. :lol:

 
Not to get on a soap box, but flipping is no worse than buying to keep sealed. At the end of the day, one is still taking a copy away from someone who could play it when the person buying that extra copy is not playing it. So whether it is sold for profit or just put up on a shelf, there is someone out there not getting a copy while someone else is getting one that won't play it.

I never saw why people make such a big stink about flipping, but not the "buying to keep sealed" type of deal. The only difference is flippers by mass quantities and collector's usually by no more than 2 or 3.

Don't get me wrong, the statue looks way better in person and has a much nicer heft to it than most of these CE items tend to. While my collection of such things isn't extensive I put it ahead of Kratos and behind Milla Maxwell for favorite things on my desk.

 
i kinda feel bad, i made out like a bandit. i call bestbuy, and had them price match all the items i want that was on sale at newegg.com. store pickup for the win. deciding when i am going to have time to play all these games. lol

Collector's typically don't kill deals nor do they manipulate the TIV market.

Most collector's I've met also have good hygiene. :rofl:

Almost picked up Bioshock but with the backlog and GTA V i can hold out for a while. I'm debating rebuying RE6 though. 7 bucks isn't bad at all.

Didn't realize that Best Buy CS is 24 hours now. I called and was able to PM Skyrim, WWE 13 and Forza while they were still in stock and cancelled my orders on Newegg. I was able to save some cash that way.

yeah, but their system was having issues, while i was price matching newegg. so it took a bit longer than usual. they put me hold a few times, the suspense was killing me waiting for them to verify each item on newegg.com

If we do it with stocks, were stock capitalists, if we do it with games, were the scum of the planet. Had a BB phone rep see the ps3 Aliens went OOS, yet when they were finalizing the order they had removed the 360 and I didn't correct them. THEN there was an system error, and they ended up adding it back in ANYWAY when they redid it. But yeah, I didn't cause anyone to lose out on a copy from newegg by pming to BB, and I actually intend to keep at least two that I ordered, the others, if they were planning on buying them than they were going to do exactly what I plan to do.

 
Im pretty sure you guys know this. If I want to price match a oos item at BB I just try to get the youngest cashier they have(most likely already young) most of the time they don't even care. It's what I did for the last new egg sale and what im going to do in the morning. It's ymmv but definitely worth a shot, calling over the phone never works.

Damn good price on Luigi....... and Forza if you have the wireless speed wheel. I got a wheel for $11.98 at Target. I like to run the event, turn off the GPS chick, and not go to the event. Just drive and drive. Any place sell Forza's soundtrack?

It took me awhile to get used to the wireless wheel but once I adjusted I really like. It's not the most reactive or technical and I think it makes the races more difficult but it is fun to just drive around open world style

I checked and they posted theirs an hour before us. But don't underestimate the buying power of CAG, pretty easy to drive an item out of stock if enough people buy it, especially when the item is limited enough to begin with.

no, they posted bioshock infinite before this post. After an hour the mod over at SD copy pasted this thread with some of the other games on sale and skyrim sold out 5 mins later.

lol just now saw this and of course in typical new egg fashion everything is sold out. Must have had only 3 copies of each title again

Sweet, got Aliens. I love the sound of the bullets and the Aliens screech as they are getting blasted. I think for $9.99 I can put up with the rest of the crap. I heard the huge patch that was released really fixed up the game I hope this is true. Newegg has been hitting them out the park lately. I already got Portal 2, Game of Thrones, Sly 4 and now Aliens in just two weeks.

 
I ordered a game from newegg last week that I haven't received and tracking says:

Exception

Delivery Status Not Updated

it was already out for delivery and then this happens

anyone know what this means?

That's weird.  Aliens was back in stock for a bit. I could add it to my cart, go through checkout, but just before the order finalization screen, it would say it was OOS, when it clearly wasn't.  Went through this 5 times before it finally took the game out of my cart and was once again listed as OOS. 

Perhaps a few people have canceled their bulk orders once the TIV started dropping.  ;)

That's what was happening last week for a bit. It kept teasing me with the KZ Trilogy.
