I am waiting until the head hancho of this contest gets back from vacation so that I can try to convince him to let me have a cashout option. What is someone like myself suppose to do with a trip for 4 to Jamaica when I am not married and have no kids and have to take 2 kids 15 years or younger with me?

What would be the value in claiming something that you have like a 5% chance of using. How does this even relate to xbox? A trip to jamaica is in no way related to the gaming lifestyle. I am going to try to donate it to charity what a waste of a 7500 dollar prize.

Anyone have a contact number to xbox's main offices in redmond washington?

I got a letter today saying that i was a daily third prize. It was a $50 game chosen by a sponser. It also said that it will ship in 6-8 weeks.

I didnt return the affidavit for the $7500 dollar trip to jamaica because I ddint want to pay roughly 2500 in taxes. They will repick for that prize and anyone could win it. Granted it is for 2 adults and 2 children and no you dont get an xbox. This isnt even related to gaming in anyways! I am still confused how this was a prize... Biggest prize I have won was a bunch of trash....

That's horrible they didn't give you a cash option (even if it was only a percentage of the estimated value of the trip).
 
Ya I couldnt figure that out. I was wondering that myself and I even tried contacting microsoft in regards to this and they just kept telling me to contact the people in charge of the contest. Apparently they were sticking to the rules which say the prize can not be transferred or substituted. I guess I will make someone somewhere else happy and I get nothing. Its like I didnt even win and I won the third biggest prize! Fck microsoft and your stupid fcking contests! All I wanted was an xbox.

Take me off the list of winners because I didnt win anything!

Thats too bad Halo3Champ. But the taxes on prizes is the reason alot of people cannot even accept alot of their prizes. But hey, at least you know that you CAN win!!!!
 
Anyone else notice that the contest site has been down the past couple days? I keep checking every now and again to see if they are going to post the winners...

It's been down since January 3rd for me. At first I thought they were just updating it, but I'm not sure if it'll be coming back up at this rate.
 
Letter said prizes would arrive in 6-8 weeks. Letters were received the week of Christmas. It's only been 5 weeks. I'm guessing mid-February you'll get your prizes and I will too :)
 
I can't wait for the prize! I hate how they didn't tell us what game we're getting. I'm actually avoiding buying ANY game until I get this prize. I don't want to buy a game and then get screwed over.

So for me, it's almost eight weeks.

...and we're still waiting.

Letter was dated December 3rd, even though 8 weeks would be Feb 3rd, so they still have plenty of time, expect prizes mid-Feb imo.

They probably had to wait until this week or next so their copies of Madden 08 would be worth less.

Wishful thinking. It won't be. Neither of those are from EA, Activision, or Ubisoft.

However, COD4, Assassins Creed and Madden are strong liklihoods.

So......by 6-8 weeks we can probably estimate that they will arive sometime in the next decade.
 
you should email the guy who sent the letters, the mail is in the letter, i email him a week ago, you should email him to see what he knows... he answered me within minutes
