[Dead] Zelda: Four Swords Adventures $19.98 CDN - Price Raised to $50 CDN

[quote name='x0thedeadzone0x']OK, i'm at the checkout and it still says CDN. Did I miss something like 'choose your currency' in dollars or does it automatically change? Btw great deal, thanks OP[/quote]
LOL, I was wondering the same thing. You're supposed to only get charged the American amount, which was like $16, on your credit card. Its good to see I'm not the only noob at this .

Picked one up as well. Thanks OP
Btw, your credit card company will make the conversion into US currency based on the exchange rate at the time your credit card is charged.

i ordered one. thanks for posting this! ive been meaning to get this game for a while now...

i looked up some reviews for this place:
http://www.pricegrabber.com/rating_getreview.php/r=1126/m=112267302

it does seem like a lot of people are not happy with dvdsoon.com's service. mostly it seems like things take a while to ship, and im figuring most of the people that were waiting for a couple weeks for their stuff to ship out probably ordered items that were out of print. i dont think any of us will see that problem with four swords...

Thanks OP, my friends and I were looking at this after we played FF:CC couple months ago. The $49.99 price tag held us off for awhile, but with this, we don't have to worry about anything now. Hopefully, the game does ship as soon as possible.

Buyer Beware.

Over at the DVDTalk forums, lots of people have had problems with DVDsoon. They charge your credit card right away before shipping your items. So if you preorder a item or if your item is backordered, they still charge your credit card without shipping your item.

SSSSSLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW..
CAGs killing the server... but finally got in. The 10 other confirmation screens didn't help. Thanks OP.

I ordered one, but I should note the last time I ordered from Canada my game came back in two languages. It had English and French text on it.

that may be true, but i can say that i ordered a few dvds from this site a while back and they came without a problem.

That's the cover art for the game from DVDSoon.

[edit: What'd I do wrong with the image tag? It should be the image ...]

Gah! I can't stand for that. If it comes like that I'll probably end up selling it.

When I ordered Rebel Strike from DVDBoxOffice.com I got the good ol' US version and an extra French manual shrink wrapped to the package.

[quote name='dracula']picked up 2. one if for my friend in sweden who has been bugging me about trying to get a deal on this game.[/quote]

It's NTSC...so technically it's an American version. It's seriously a shame that you'd give up a great game IF it comes liek that. With the money you saved, you can amke your own sweet boxart. That makes your collection truly one of a kind.

[quote name='siamesellama'][quote name='punqsux']why does it matter that there is french writing on it?[/quote]

Because it's not the US version. I'm a collector first, gamer second.[/quote]

dont be too shocked if sometime soon the same starts happening in the US with spanish.

konkey konga had a seperate spanish booklet. a couple weeks ago i was in a thrift store when it was closing, and they did the announcments in both spanish and english...changes are happening, and thats nice ^^

I'd trade it, but use that money to buy a new one in English. Like the poster above, I'm a collector. No player's choice for me, definately no foreign boxes/box art. (I don't collect imports either...yet)

i'm just saying that in doing that, you'd be paying more for the art, when you could save the money by having your own professionally printed at Kinko's. If you trade it into EB/GS, you're getting raped for cash. More than likely losing a few bucks or breaking even. trading it in still makes you pay about 10 bucks for a new copy (If you get it for about 40 bucks or so) so then you're out 15+10. They have box art scans online which you can save to a floppy and have your local copy shop print it out on high quality glossy paper for about 3 bucks. Also, Gamestops and EB's probably still have the display cases (which were identical to the release art) so you could potentially ask an employee to give it to you.

don't get into imports, they're evil. I only had one or two SFC imports until a month ago, now I must have 15+ import Dreamcast games. they can certainly be expensive, but they're awesome.... I mean evil! :D

I'm truly tempted to order it but A) kind of very short on money and B) that the site doesn't sound to good with the sending practices. It took one guy 2 months to get something.

On the order tracking page it now shows the game as "On Order". Uh oh. Watch out if you cancel the order because they charge your card right away, then give you the credit on your account to only use on their site, not a REFUND. I guess we are going to have to be patient

They do have an option to transfer credit to a credit card though.

At this price, I have all the patience in the world. Still have 40 or so unopened games to play anyway, so I'm in no rush. They can backorder my games, but send the DBZ right away, lol. Good prices on anime as well.

did anyone get theirs? Please post their thought. Thanks. I just saw this thread and planning to order when I got paycheck next week.. anyway.. keep us updated. Thanks

For some reason all this discussion of canadian cheap ass deals has me missing Dragon.ca. That site was amazing, they used to have rediculous sales/liquidation and penny air shipping from time to time... too bad they closed down in a rather sketchy manner a few years back :(

Getting back on topic, I hope the majority of these go through... I don't know too much about this site, so I'm not such how much inventory they tend to keep on hand at any given time.

Could you all be more specific about the uncertainty of dvdsoon.com? I just caved in and ordered, even though it was on order. Do you think they won't get more or won't bother to ship?

I'm worried now.

This is just for all the ppl who were asking about paying with a cc...

Sometimes your cc company will not charge you the "spot" exchange rate, but instead the worst exchange rate within a 30 day period. So, if what you get charged on your cc isn't the same as what you calculated the spot exchange rate to be, that's probably what happened.

Most of the time, it isn't something to particularly be worried of especially when dealing with Canada. But if you were buying something in, like say Russia, it might pose a problem. Just a FYI.

I bought this game yesterday around noontime, I used a Visa debit card. I check mu online statement this morning and it show a debit of $16.12 for this game...good deal. Are you guys that ordered this getting On Order or Pending in your status? I have Pending. Just wondering...

I find it "tres ironique" that someone with a french signature is complaining that the box art may come with french text.

Anyway, got in on this just now. I hope it comes, but if not, well it won't be the first time. Of course, maybe all we CAGers could invade Canada and make them give us our bi-lingual Zelda.

dang, this was on my Christmas list.. I've taken it off and ordered it.. if they cancel the order, I'll just add it back :)

No...the pending is not what you need to look at. Actually click on the order number on that page and you'll go to something that looks like an online receipt. There you'll see the "on order"...

Fingers crossed! Does anyone think this might still come with the extra cable?

[quote name='jdevlin7756']Could the NOUVEAU thing be just a sticker? Or is it definitely part of the case design?[/quote]
