[Dead] Zelda: Four Swords Adventures $19.98 CDN - Price Raised to $50 CDN

Decided to pick me one up too... Thanx OP for spending more of my money! Can people please quit posting these impossible to refuse deals? I'm sorta glad I missed out on the Wherehouse $2 N64 deals...

If anyone gets this deal, please post.. I'm not going to raise my hopes too high unless I see others start getting it :)
In Soviet Russia, the credit card charges YOU.
I find that far funnier than it has any right to be.
My credit card has been charged, but it is still listed as "pending" ...
Ditto. Thats some bullshiets.

This had better go through. I never get a chance to score a good deal like this one and it would be just my luck to have this one go sour.

i am pretty sure this is what happenedL

the price drop was supposed to be a twenty dollar drop from seventy to fifty, but they messed up and made a fifty dollar drop from seventy to twenty. so they will cancel all our orders and refund the credit cards charged.

So what do you think...will complaining do anything if they cancel? Or should we just shake our collective fists at our computer screens and cuss? Is there a disclaimer on the site that protects them in cases of human error? (I know most do but I didn't look at DVDSoon for that)

My credit card was charged as well, and the order is still pending. I've never heard of that before, charging before the item has shipped. I mean, what if they do cancel the order on us? They have to go back and credit everyone. Hopefully they will honor it. I usually don't buy from online companies I'm not familiar with, but I took a chance for this deal. We just gotta wait and see what happens.

Just noticed that my order is pending, but my debit account has not been charged. Has anyone emailed them to ask what's going on? Whether we'll get the games or not? It's not like if someone emails, they're going to suddenly cancel everyone's order because they notice the error. If this is indeed an error(as it appears to be), they've already noticed it. I might email CS soon...if I have time.

Don't bet on it. Just wait it out. I don't know if you were around for the Donkey Konga fiasco, but evrything was fine until people started calling and emailing. That's when they realized the mistake. Chances are if everyone had kept their traps shut, DK would have shipped at $30 to at least some of us. Most people who work for electronics businesses don''t know anything about what's going on. They just do what they're instructed and wouldn't notice a mistaken price at all.

My Debit account was charged now.....but still no shipment. Why the hell do the companies charge you before the item ships?

Because they are dishonest/thieves. Those few days of you having $20 won't gain you much interest, but if they do that to 1000 people a day, look at how much they are gaining.

On a different note, has anyone's shipped yet?

Blah. I either want the game or my 16 bucks damnit :(. There are other Cheapass deals to get on with that cash. I really do want elda though, but they need to make a decision.

Yeah, they better ship mine soon. They better ship all of ours soon, or they'll have a flock of angry cheapasses to deal with.

I agree with your point. I wasn't condoning their dishonesty, just explaining why they do it (IMO).

False advertising, Schenanigans, I want my money back!!
...and i don't want it in the form of store credit either. I could use that money in my TRU Buy 2 get 1 fund.

My credit card has been charged as well.

I've emailed them a couple of times. First thing I asked was...

When will my order ship?
How long does it normally take to send an order out? I'm
just curious because 3 days after I ordered my game it is still
"pending"

Their reply

Dear Sir;

If a product is noted as being in stock it can ship quite quickly.
However the item you have ordered is currently on back order with the
studio as they have ran out of print. They do not know when they
will be printing more copies and it could be a few months. We
strongly suggest clients to cancel their orders. You can cancel your
order at your leisure by logging in to your account and opening the
order located under the pending tab. Once there you will be presented
with your order details. At the end of the details you will locate a
red cancellation button. Simply click on this button to cancel the
order and issue a credit to your DVDSoon account.

When I first placed my order the item was listed as in stock. It was
in stock for about another day after my order as well and it is only
now saying it's backorder. I plan to keep my order as pending in
hopes that you will fill the orders as they were received. (i.e. first
come, first served)> When I first placed my order the item was listed as in stock. It was in stock for about another day after my order as well and it is only now saying it's backorder. I plan to keep my order as pending in hopes that you will fill the orders as they were received. (i.e. first

Dear Sir;

Unfortunately it is not possible that this item was in stock as we have
this on back order for some time. This is why we are providing the
information below. Please remember that no status means that the item is
a special order item. When it comes to games the market is proven to be
quite unstable. However if you wish to wait you may do so. If you ever
wish to cancel you can do so as well. Have a nice day!

So guess what? We've all been had. They charged our cards and they want us to "cancel" our orders. But cancelling would only credit our accounts on DVDSoon rather than issue us a cash back on our credit cards. Yes CAGers, we have been fuckED.

They have an option to move the credit to your credit cards. :!:

What the fuck is going on here? Are they serious? Do they not even have the decency to just cancel our orders straight up? Are they really going to make us all play this waiting game with them and either forget that they have our money or cancel? Ugh I'm getting quite frustrated with these guys, a yes or no go on this is all I ask...

Wow.

I bet all you guys who disagreed with me and the others for not buying it because of the French cover art are shitting bricks now. :p

Seriously, though, that sucks.

crap i saw the charge and i assumed it was shipped. just saw it is pending as well. what the hell. are u ppl waiting it out or asking for refund.

Now I am glad I didn't have the cash to get in on this. It really sucks for you guys, and I hope everything gets straightened out.

I am also glad I didn't jump in on this one. Didn't someone say something about the sites reseller ratings in an earlier thread?

I checked (too late) but they aren't registered with bbbonline.org. Not that I'm surprised. So I'm not sure who to complain to about these horrible business practices.

good lord, i just got cockpunched. I am guessing they will ship the game out when it goes GH next year. i am quite :x right now

Well, I'm debating whether it is easier at this point to go through the normal channels with DVDSoon or just dispute the charges through my CC company to really piss them off.
I bet they'll stop screwing around if we all reverse the credit card charges.
How do we do that? My b/f's gonna be sooo pissed at me now. BTW, does anyone have a link to the site that lets you rate online retailers? I'm gonna gonna go megabitch on them.

there's either info on your monthly statement (it's on the reverse side of every page I get), or on their website. if you can't find it, call the customer service number on the back of the card, they should be able to help you. the limit for filing claims is usually pretty long (2-3 months), so you can wait to see if they start filling orders, and if not, reverse the charges later. it's best to call soon and check the time limit though, I have no idea how it differs for different card companies, and you don't want to get stuck w/ the charge b/c you waited too long.
I'm sorry to hear what happened to all you guys, but I have to say that I'm sort of happy now that I didn't buy it.
Please clarify, because it sounds like you are saying that you are happy this happened since you didn't get in on the deal.

Well, the one time I take a chance on an "iffy" site, this happens. Oh well. I also sent out an email to them, stating how I simply want my charges reversed, no credits or anything. We'll see what happens. I need to show my credit card company that I tried to resolve it through them before I dispute. We'll see if somehow, some way, they'll refund my money. I'll follow-up...

It's pretty clear.

He's happy because he didn't buy it [and get screwed like you guys].

I noticed something as I was checking my account. After you log-in, click "Refunding a credit" on the right-side menu. There's a form to send in requesting that your credit be refunded to your credit card. Here's what it says above the form:

Use this page to request that your credit be refunded to your credit card.

After you submit the requested information, we will review it and then issue a refund to your credit card. Refunds are issued 21 days after you submitted this form and they appear in the next relevent monthly statement.

Please, note that all fields are mandatory and that you MUST refund on a card used precedently. If it is impossible for you to do so, then, you need to contact us to obtain your refund.

So, the 21 days sucks, but at least that looks like an option if they only credit you. Just an FYI. Good luck!

Well, I'm a little confused on what to do. I say after we all get our money refunded, we email complaint letters about how bad they suck.

I sent them an email saying

I still have not received my item and you guys have
still not even shipped it yet. If you are not going to
send the game then refund my damn money. I do not want
store credit I want my credit card to be credited.

They replied with

Dear Sir.

Unfortunatly the item will be out of print for a good three to four
months before we get anymore of this item.

If wished to cancel the order you must loggon to your account and click
on the order then to use at the bottom of the order , the icon marked
as
cancel whole order.

If wished for a refund to your credit card please look on the right
side
of the screen on our web site for the tab marked as refunding a credit.

Follow the easy steps threw and the amount should go back onto your
credit card.
Well, I'm a little confused on what to do. I say after we all get our money refunded, we email complaint letters about how bad they suck.
Unfortunately I don't think that'll do much good... they seem to have a definantly uncaring attitude towards us. That one e-mail someone posted was both rude and a lie. Claiming that they never had any in to begin with, Nintendo is no longer producing the game and it may take months to get more in stock... the fact that they even think we're stupid enough to believe that is what's most insulting to me. They're obviously trying to weasel their way out of this and unfortunately it doesn't look like there's much we can do about it...

Yup - it looks like I just lost my money. I cancelled the order, but the system says I don't have any "available credit" to refund. That is:

1. They took my money
2. I cancelled the order
3. They claim that I never paid them

What do you expect, they're CANADIANS!!

And continental, I'd be righteously pissed. I can see if they don't honor it, I mean, eh, there'll be another deal on this game, but that's just screwed up.
