[Deal Dead] Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles $14.99 at Sam Goody [Now $49.99]

Deal is dead now...probably thanks to FW. Glad I at least got the chance to get one at this price. Thanks! I will keep my fingers crossed.
 
I just checked my order status and it says that your order is being prepared for shipment! Wow, i hope this means we all got in for the 14.99 price! :)
 
Had the freaking order almost complete... entered the credit card number and pressed 'submit' and then nothing... just a huge white screen of disappointment. Waited of few minutes, hit back, still in cart for $14.99. Tried to submit again... and nothing... I think I've lost this one... either that or I'm getting a million of them because I did it a few too many times for safety.
 
I got all the way through, and had it kicked into level 2, "Processing". However, I've gotten several strange eMails, repeadedly telling me they're "Processing" my order... except now it has my amount as zero, but I've had "one" shipped.

Quite odd.
 
They shouldn't even have the game yet. How can they be shipping it? Unless they keep it in stock until Nintendo tells them they can sell it. Odd.
 
Look at your e-mails more closely. The numbers are shifted. I thought the same thing when I first looked but it should read:

# - ordered
0 - shipped
# - backordered
 
i know, i got 2 emails the first one had all zero's then they sent me another one with 1 uner shipped and then it says under that 3-5 business days to ship.

yeahman is right. if you look, youll notice the columns arent lined up correctly. if you shift it it reads:

i dont know if the amount totals to zero because theyve cancelled it or because its still a preorder. i guess we'll find out sooner or later.

My EB called me today and told me that they'd get it in about 45 minutes.

Check your email. I had it freeze on me after clicking submit. I waited a few minutes, clicked submit again, and got a message saying my cart was empty. When I went to put the game back in my cart, it was at $49.99. I checked my email though, and apparantly the order went through at $14.99 the first time I clicked submit.
 
Although I know this doesn't mean anything solid...
My card was charged.
So that means either I'm going to get it, or I'm out of $34 bucks for the next 10 days until my bank releases the preauthorization charges.
HPshopping got me $$340 a couple of weeks ago when they mispriced lcd screens at $170

Click on the status link in the first e-mail you got. Mine says the order has shipped! It may have actually worked. :D
 
Holybejezus. Mine, too. The eMail you get after checking shows it as being shipped, as well.

EDIT: Big problem. It's shown as shipped, but notice in the eMail that it adds this line near the bottom, which is different from yesterday:

"Your order did not ship due to BACKORDER ITEMS/S WILL SHIP UPON RECEIPT."

Ack.
 
What I find most amusing about this is the fact that the deal died as soon as it was posted on FatWallet. Much like the Circuit City deals that we had here for a month or so - they died about a day or two after being posted on FatWallet.
 
In other words, a bunch of the retailers have wized up a little bit and started watching FatWallet. It should be avoided like the plague (I sure do).

My card was preauthorized.
when i look at order confirmation It says the order has shipped, but I think that is a nice way of saying "you ain't getting shit" . because I got an email a couple of seconds later saying ...Your order did not ship due to BACKORDER. ITEMS/S WILL SHIP UPON RECEIPT
Quantity says 0 and price says $0
 
BTW, want to be the first to mention that I picked mine up in Turkey Creek, Knoxville, TN. EB Games. Waited for the doors to open.

you know what's funny (and a bit sad at the same time, due to what I missed out on)? I only found out about CAG b/c of fatwallet, that was back near the end of Dec/beginning of Jan. I only used fatwallet to find cheap games, after I realized slickdeals would never get the stuff that ended up on fatwallet. someone mentioned this site in a post, and I've been here ever since. evolution of a CAGer, at least this one ;)

hehe, same here! i saw a post around january (probably the same post as you e-z-b, lol! anyways, cag is honestly the best around. you all post up the best deals and you post them up first! the only deal i've been able to get in on is the summer heat volleyball and the ff:cc (hope it works!) so far, but i'm looking forward to more. thanks to all the the cag members :p

It seems that Sam Goody's email notification is a tad on the slow side.

Either that or they're screwing with me since my card was charged. :D
