I just cancelled my order of Tears to Tiara because it went backorderd today. I emailed them and they cancelled it. It was good price to get it, but I don't want to wait forever to get it.

It writes "Partially Backordered" now for both orders...I hope they read my mails and cancel (the right) order and refund me.

It's Thanksgiving weekend, so you will probably be waiting for awhile trying to get customer service to get anything done in a timely manner. T___T
I sent email this morning and got reply around 3pm.
Wow, you must've gotten them on one of their good days, lol.

Squarehard: you mean they will not be there on Friday either? :/

starkillr: If I knew that this will cause such a big problem, I wouldnt have bothered...
I've actually kind of grown used to them since they're much safer during shipping at least since there's a thick piece of styrofoam inside. Even though it's the crappy spindle, at least I know the discs and the case will arrive safely since they're rather sturdy too in comparison to some of the econo cases Sentai uses on their two part setters. But I know what you mean.
Wait, they're on a spindle!? Here I thought they were like the You're Under Arrest sets with just the discs on the walls of the case. I know Sentai isn't all that big, but DVD cases aren't THAT expensive (I should know, I buy a lot of 4, 5, and 6 disc cases). Even Bandai used Scanavo cases, and FUNi uses cheaper cases.

The You're Under Arrest set isn't usually what they use for their DVD sets that big. The case with the discs on the walls seems to be only unique to You're Under Arrest since all of my other Sentai bigger box sets are the spindle ones, so that's probably what it will be when yours arrive. But the spindle boxes seem to be a lot more sturdier than the You're Under Arrest case too, but of course it's always a pain in the neck getting the discs in and out of the spindle cases. T___T

But as you've mentioned, they are still at least better than Bandai, and as far as Funimation goes...ugh...don't even get me started on their shabby quality DVD cases. ~_~

Thanks for that code, got Broken Blade (Blu) which I had been hoping TRSI would put up for sale, and a couple others.

Never had much of a problem with the YUA cases myself.

And I should have made it more clear, but I prefer Bandai's and FUNi's cases. I want as much storage space as possible, so any DVD set that is 6 discs or under and is thicker than a standard case (unless it is a thinpak) is highly annoying to me. I personally use the cheapest 6-disc cases I can get (easyshopca from eBay) and aside from being hard to close when I am done, which is understandable since I have 6 cover arts stuffed in there, I have had no problems. And Scanavo cases are the best there is.

Hmm...should I preorder the complete collection for Kobato with the $5 off code, or hope that Rightstuf will have the individual sets for

Couldn't resist getting Angel Beats!: Complete Collection (Blu-ray)! Even though it has the "Usually ships in 5-10 days" status, I don't mind waiting if I only have to pay $23.27 (with $5 off promotion and shipping).

Thanks WTK!

Crud...because I ordered yesterday morning, I missed out on the $5 >_> On the plus side, both of my "World Only God Knows" blu-ray sets have already been shipped, so I don't mind throwing an extra 5 bucks for the uncharacteristically quick shipping.
Quick Q. Can the $5 coupon be used on multiple orders, or just once per account?
Once

It's also one per ip.

Seriously. I made my orders today knowing that I will probably be waiting two to three months before I see any of this stuff shipped, lol. I guess I just have a lot of patience...no, not really, just really cheap. XD

Of course the order I made with the coupon is back ordered. :sigh:

I don't need it right away at least, and it's still cheaper than anywhere else I have seen.

Both orders I made (the one with the coupon and the one without) is partially back ordered, both is missing Clannad After Story Blu-Ray...guess it had such a good price that stocks ran out fast. I guess I should be happy since they have not shipped yet, so there is no excuse for them to not cancel the order without the coupon:)

That would be the logical way of thinking about it, but I've had issues with this as well in the past mainly due to the horribly slow customer service that never got back to me for over two weeks even after repeated emails.

Woo, glad I checked CAG today. Been waiting forever for Clannad After Story Blurays to drop from $60 on amazon and deep discount goes and has them for $33. Amazing deal

Picked up the following:

Clannad (Blu-ray)
Papillion Rose (DVD)
High School of the Dead (DVD)
Heaven's Memo Pad (DVD)
Demon King Daimao (DVD)
Angel Beats (DVD)

Used the $5 coupon on Clannad, used the Share via email 10% off coupon on a separate order on everything else.

I'm guessing you went in on the DVDs because they were all in stock? ;D

*Edit*
No that wasn't it. I guess you just wanted to save the $4 each, which I can see as well. ^__^

Yep. I don't have an HDTV, and from what I've seen, most Sentai releases lack extras, so I decided to save money. I did Clannad on Blu-ray because of the DVD casing.

Yeah, it wouldn't really make too much of a difference to be honest anyways with most shows nowadays anyways. If it's a good price I'd rather get the DVDs anyways if I can. ^_^

BTW, I took a look at the non-Sentai stuff DD has on sale. For FUNimation, they have the various Dragonball sets, the One Piece Collections, the Fullmetal Alchemist collections, and most of their Anime Classics and S.A.V.E. sets.

All others that are not Sentai or FUNi are hentai. So if you want discounted anime porn, now's your chance.

This DeepDiscount is starting to piss me off...

Still no reply about me several emails regarding the cancelation of the order without the promo code+giving the refund, instead today I received emails stating that the Infinite Stratos Blu-Ray disks have shipped...what the?
1) They don't check their emails?
2) Why does it still say "Processing" for Infinite Stratos at my orders list?
3) They actually send out half the order and later the other half when they have it in stock?

This DeepDIscount site seems very, very, very unprofessional compared to Amazon and Right Stuf...

That's why I try to keep my having to order from them as minimal as possible. :p
I sent email this morning and got reply around 3pm.
Just for the sh*ts and giggles...where/how did you send that email? Did you use their form on their website?

It's just hit or miss with DD customer service, period. You shouldn't have tried to cancel int he first place. I was pretty surprised that one person even got his stuff fixed so quickly, lol.

Just noticed that my clannad after story order is on backorder like everyone else. Are they usually good about honoring these things when stock comes in?

Never even sent me an email or anything telling me either, seem pretty disorganized/unprofessional.

There is also an inherent risk of waiting when you order from DeepDiscount. They're pretty good nowadays about fulfilling stock as opposed to previous years where they not only make you wait but also cancels it in the end. So you will probably get your items shipped at some point, but you will have to be patient because we are talking about weeks to months here, so strap yourself in for the ride. And as others have noted their experience with trying to deal with customer service is also a disaster, so at this point your best option is really just to wait, lol. Happy Holidays!

:D

:(

OK, they've already charged me for my two orders (even though half the items are backordered) but there's an additional "Reversal" charge that equals two of my back ordered items. Does anyone know what he hell that is?

OMG, got response from DD customer support!!

They can not cancel Infinite Stratos (in the order where coupon was not used) because it already shipped (lol, like it's my fault that they didn't read their mails for almost 3 days and shipped the item instead), but they canceled Clannad After Story...50% success.

Well, my Origins: Spirits of the Past and Broken Blade both shipped already. I'm well pleased with getting those two for $31 total =D

I think you just picked a really bad time to email them with Thanksgiving and what not literally the following day, so to pile on to DD's horrible CS you also get that extra delay. Everything was working against you. ;D

:(
Alright that's not a problem I guess since I'm not buying it as a gift. Waited 4 months since it came out for a price drop, another few aren't going to kill me.

Really wish TC edited the OP with the coupon code though, didn't know it existed until after I placed the order since it was just hanging out in the middle of the thread.

It wasn't mentioned in here, but The Legend of Heroes blu-ray series is also on sale for $20. I made a new account and ordered one other item, so I could get free shipping and use the $5 off code again =P

Don't worry. It's fine. They charge you when your item ships but when you place the order, their system automatically puts a hold on your card for the entire amount. The hold is released within a couple of days. For some reason they release the hold by reversing the hold. Haha That sounds crazy but they are weird like that.

My account example: I placed an order for about $226 dollars. Immediately they put a hold on my card for $226. The next day, a reversal was put on for $226 and they charged me $120 for the items that have shipped. The remaining $106 has not been charged to my card yet.
