Gift Card Notes:  Please remember that eGift cards take about 20 days to be issued after the item ships and usually expire within about 90 days of issuance.  You should wait AT LEAST 20 days from the ship date before contacting Dell for missing cards.  Also, keep in mind that you may receive smaller gift cards (usually 5% of your order total) for the Dell Advantage Rewards program which is in addition to their advertised $15 or $25 gift cards.  Don't assume Dell is not giving you the full gift card amount simply because you receive a Dell Advantage Rewards gift card.  These are issued earlier than the promo gift cards.

I just realized I still haven't gotten my $15 from The Witcher 3. It shipped on 5/19, and on 6/2 I got $6 (?!), but I'm still waiting on the other $9 I guess. Anyone else in the same boat?

Edit: Just talked with Dell chat, and they'll be clearing it up.

The $6 might be advantage rewards or something like that, so make sure you get your full $15 and not just $9.

Damn that MGS deal is ridiculous, if only it was for the CE. Too bad these assholes still haven't given me my $15 for Witcher 3 yet so screw this.

Both Metal Gear Solid and Mad Max come out on the same day, not sure which game to buy and for what system. I have over 30 dollars in gift cards to use so mind as well use it on a good game..what do you all recommend?

I am not a huge fan of Dell itself but some of the deals they have been running lately are insane. I bit on the PS4 bundle and get a $100 gift card and now I am thinking about biting on that Rare deal.

FYI, you can trade this headset in at Amazon for $47 right now.  This is a very bad way to do a money maker item, but I was considering trading in my old pair at Amazon and just replacing them with a new pair from Dell for a new warranty, etc.  I probably won't since it doesn't seem worth the hassle.  I also already own two pair of these, so I can't justify buying a third pair either.

Tempting. I have the 20th on order, so I don't know if I need two. If only the PS4 would take standard BT headphones, the fucks.

Well, I ordered. I guess, worst case, that I could send these to Amazon or sell them here. I wonder how well the virtual surround works on PC. I'm hoping that since I never plan on folding them up, they'll last.

I've been wanting a pair of these for a while. Couldn't resist this.

They still price match Amazon without issue? I did that for Destiny earlier this year when the price match policy was brand new. The $25 is kind of worthless if spent on a $60 game that's $30 everywhere else.

Very tempted on the Gold. I've been reading reviews, but it seems like the surround is getting mixed reviews. Anyone have a pair and care to comment? Also, does it work with movies?

It sounds great for this price point. I have some higher end Turtle Beach headphones that sound better, but you get what you pay for. These are simulated surround, so it's not full 5.1 or 7.1 but sounds close. I don't think you'll find anything much better for $100 or less. I can't comment on the surround for movies since I use mine strictly for gaming.

Crazy deal for the gold wireless headset. I bite.  I have purchase a silver headset two months ago but never used it, wired headsets are a pain.

Is there Rare Replay deal done? Doesn't seem to be showing up aka the extra bit mentioning the offer for the eGiftcard is nowhere to be found.

I'm really annoyed.  I ordered them a few days ago, and Dell keeps delaying shipping and tried to cancel my order because they "needed my consent" to delay according to the Federal Trade Commission.  Really??  I filled out their stupid consent form, but is Dell always this shady, or did they simply do a shit job of keeping inventory before selling gold headphones for $60?

It's likely more of incompetence than being shady. Dell has called me to consent to delays on orders in the past. I don't recall ever needing to sign anything, but it's possible I had to click an email link to agree. They are a little old fashioned in their processes and also geared more towards business buyers, so their practices seem very unusual to general consumers.

That sucks. I bought on july 27th and it was shipped next day. But i have an ongoing trouble with them on my Batman Arkham Knight i pre ordered. Fedex lost my package and dell has not yet shipped a replacement. Game has been out for more than a month now :(

That sucks more. I greatly enjoyed Arkham Knight. That's a big mess, too, because who claims responsibility? Fed Ex? Dell? At this point you're better off asking for a refund and buying the game outright.

If your having trouble with Dell call their CS, it's ymmv but sometimes you get nice reps that compensate for even the smallest hiccups in your orders.  I've been given free orders already multiple times

Thanks, I'll call them, obviously email doesn't work, I've had my emails transferred, ignored multiple times already. Still trying to get the Witcher 3 gift card...

Remember though, its ymmv, i've actually had managers argue with me before. But I've also hung up, called again right after and got really nice reps that fixed the problem for me and even compensated.

I've had some good luck with chatting.  It seems efficient enough and less annoying than talking to someone who may be on the other side of the world.

Yeah, I'll give their CS a go, I just haven't had the time.  I'd rather they just ship my headphones instead of me having to poke them.

I don't recommend putting too much emphasis on ship dates or speed with Dell. They are very hit or miss and many people have complained about slow shipping. It does seem like they are taking shipping speed more seriously lately, so maybe it's improving.

Blame is on Fedex, they lost the package, the minute i complained to Dell CS they openned a case with Fedex and kept updating me on the status (which basically was "We're still waiting on fedex lost package claim team response" for a couple weeks). They could have done a little better tough. If this was amazon, they would just ship me another one right away or issue a refund even before getting response from carrier.

By the way, i always get stuff sorted out by chat support, and the hairy issues i talk directly to their twitter account @dellcares . Since everyone else can read your complains on twitter, i figure out twitter CS for any company is usually better / faster for solving issues you might otherwise have a difficult time with regular phone/chat CS representatives.

I bought that $60 PS headset a few weeks back. I got the $25 gift code, and a $3 gift code (5% of $60) from their reward program. I doesn't seem like I can use both gift cards on a single order (trying to buy MGSV).

Anyone know a way around that?

Thanks for that feedback. I'll share it with the buyer at Dell who handles video games. As far as Metal Gear Phantom Pain goes, I work directly with the distributor who is doing the fulfillment for Konami titles at Dell. Konami has confirmed that they will release the game to the distributor in time to deliver the goods to Dell customers on September 1st. But it doesn't look like Dell is going to highlight that. If anyone does preorder MGSV:TPP through Dell, please post back and let us know how quickly you got delivered.

Rare Replay seems to have been sent to some people for release date delivery or the day after, so it'll be nice to see that with MGSV:TPP.
