Lille baby rngesus took pity on me and the fact I played hard raid with a sick 1 year old on my lap because she couldn't sleep.

Got energy all throughout until after atheon took 45 minutes I was rewarded with the vex pulse rifle and the helmet. Now I just need the materials and I'll finally hit thirty
 
Thanks jgu forthe oracles checkpoint. Thanks motiv for the atheon checkpoint and biz for the nightfall finish. Have to run this again 5 more times. Sheesh! Good thing we got void weapons. Those knights were a pain! Hehe!

I joined a late night atheon run. Finally got to do relic duty. Finally understood the controllers. Got my hunter and lock to 29 with last weeks drop. I wana try hard atheon now. Hehe

Stayed up trying to get to level 4 in IB to get the gauntlets for my Hunter. Got so close!!! but lost the last round I needed to win and then reset happened. As the night went on the servers got more laggy and glitchy. I was getting shot through shut doors. Killing people and the bar didnt go down only to have them fall a few seconds after I died. I did move along 2 out of my 3 Exotic bounties that were stuck on Crucible. I got a lot better in the short time I played. Just dont rush positions and hang back or gaurd a well protected capture point and you will have success. Nothing is as satisfying as having 3 guys rush your position and taking them out one by one. I dont think some people even look at radar. Radar is your best friend. Also dont be afraid to run from grenades or supers.

Guess its back to the raid and hoping for armor. Still only have boots :p

 
Well got to IB level 3 in 2 characters and 4 on the warlock...good week indeed. I just hope we never have to do this sort of Crucible marathons to get armor pieces since there is no other freaking way to get decent parts in the game  :wall: . Right now I'm tired and don't want to see the Crucible in a long long itme

 
Yeah I had company all weekend and work on monday again so I only got to play from after work until they reset it. I almost got to level four in one night. Had I not had company I would have made it for sure on both characters over the weekend. Just bad timing for IB for me. Hopefully it will be back and they will continue to make the armor worthwhile. After the new content if there isnt stuff comparable to what you can get in the new raid no one will bother with it. I noticed mostly people who were playing were 28 and 29. 30s had no reason to bother unless they just like the armor sets better or wanted to be all pimp in gold shaders.

I wanted that cape too...should have bought the boots eventhough I didnt need them. Getting tired of looking at the raid boots. Wasnt thinking that clearly at 3 am.

The first clip was a total accident.

In the second video, 2nd clip i titan smash right by an enemy he takes no damage. Last clip i get melee killed by someone on the other side of the map. -_-

Yeee-haaaa!!! Thanks 7th, for letting me in to your group for the Nightfall. Got the exotic Titan helm I needed to get to 30! (RNGeesus knows all. Just as I was thinking of picking up a few new game on BF. spooky.)

Hahaha. I thoroughly enjoyed the Titan dancing immediately after each smash, that cracked me up. Nice videos.

 
Haha, I like the little dance to cap every victory. That last smash was super lucky with all of the enemy grouped up.

This also shows me that the Hunter abilities are all super under-powered in PVP. Arc Blade is decent, but you can stop it with a good shotgun blast. I feel like Warlock and Titan abilities are pretty much guaranteed kills.

 
Pretty productive day for me. I did 2x hard raids, 2x nightfalls and 2x weeklys. I ended up getting the final two raid items I was missing in corrective measure and Atheon's epilogue. I also got a Suros from the Gorgonn chest (I decided not to buy it from Xur both times). Nightfall drops were lame but I guess I shouldn't complain.

There are really only two weapons I still want (G'horn and Thunderlord) and I would still like Heart of Praxic Fire. Hopefully Xur sells these soon.

Did nightfall 3 times, here is my swag...

- The Crash - Legendary Shotgun

- The Conduit - Legendary Pulse Rifle ...  eh it has a full auto perk so not too bad.

- Mida Multi-Tool - Exotic Scout Rifle .... just bought it from Xur last friday. -_-

So 2/3 i didnt have, one dude got the warlock helm that looks like a skull when i got the mida, wish i got that helm instead. The other dude got the hunter gauntlets that look like bones. So out of us three, i already had 2 of the 3 rewards lol.

 
Did nightfall yesterday and the only got sun breakers, prolly won't use them for a while. I did get 12 shards tough so all in all a good (quick) night of Destiny....now gotta farm tons of materials.

Man I wished the Dark Below was coming out today. That would have made the long weekend way better.

Got both of my NF's done last night and ended up with Prudence II and the Swarm, both have ARC damage. Rather meh night for me.

Also wrapped up the weekly heroics too.

Week's looking pretty good... I might even be able to level my poor, little warlock to 20.

Did the gatekeeper and atheon on hard and got the hunter helmet, now i have all three helms from the raid. Which is nice if i want to stay a 30 and wear an exotic chest, gauntlets, or soon to be exotic boots!

Havent played in 2 days dye to thanksgiving chores. Anybody still doing raids the next 3 days? I havent even done weeklys this week too but since i have a ton of coins in stock im not worried about laters update. Just hope he doesnt stock all weapons or helmets or something since its blackfriday. Hehe!

Forgot all about Xur. Still has that same damn warlock chest. I still need a couple warlock helms and the praxic fire chest piece, but yet he keeps having the same damn item. Bought Plan C but i still have 172 coins left and will add 27 more before Xurs next visit. The gauntlet engram is pointless for me as i have the gauntlets for all three classes now. Just need a titan helm, couple warlock helms, warlock chest, and i think thats it.

I haven't played since the reset so I'd be down for running both the Nightfall and Weekly three times. I'd like to run the raid at least twice before reset as well.

And yeah, Xur's been getting really annoying with his hate for the Warlocks.

Yeah I should be on depending on how late. I tried to solo the nightfall and was getting annoyed by how long it was taking me so I said screw it lol.

 
Nice! I'm glad Xur is at least avoiding weekly repeats with the exotic weapons. Picking up Plan C is an easy decision with all of the Strange Coins that have been accumulating lately.

I already have the exotic chest pieces but I might gamble on the engram gauntlets as I still need one for my (eventual level 20) Hunter.

I'll be on later tonight to do the Nightfall & Weekly with my Titan. So if the timing works out I'd be up to run those with fellow CAGs.

 
Oh man, I may have not binged on turkey last night, but I sure over did it on Destiny.  

Did a few raids (some full, some cp helping others) the dailies, I think 24 bounties, tons of helium and glimmer farming and tried to track down as many public events (for the ascendant energy).

But yeah, I just can't game like this, not anymore... I'm officially that one old fart that still games :oldman: :lol:  .  I've gotta stick to my short gaming runs of a few hours a night.

Anyway, did get enough mats to max out my 2nd Ice Breaker, Vision of Confluence,Vex, 2nd pair of raid gloves and still progress a few other weapons. I unlocked a bunch of nodes on other weapons and armor pieces, for the one day I get enough mats.

So far, my loot this week has been a 3rd Timebreaker, 2 more Found Verdict (received at the same time,  fuck  RNG), Zombie Apocalypse (which I think came from a NF), a 2nd Vision of Confluence, 2nd Unfriendly Giant with ARC and the highlight was Praedyth's Timepiece (d'oh, how could I forget about Prudence II & the Swarm).  I'm getting tired just typing this :oldman:  :lol: . Still no Fatebringer though.

As for Xur, I grabbed Plan C, rocket launcher telemetries (to level up Truth) and the engram, which became the hunter gauntlets Xur had sold, last week... maybe. Don't have any interest in starting a Hunter right now.  I might, if the new raid makes it worthwhile.

The Armamentarium stats are worse than my current ones, so no buy there.  And I figure Voidfang pops up so much that there's no rush in buying it now.

EDIT: I thought I cleared all my raid opportunities, but looks like I only did Atheon on Hard for one of my toons, so I'll still have 3 more cp's to get something.

Decided to use my titan for Dead Orbit, hunter for FWC, and warlock for New Monarchy. Is there any downside to this? Does the crucible or vanguard give shaders that these wont give? Lately all the vanguard gives me is two blue engrams, so it kind of made me think i should level up factions because they can give me cool shaders and i can do it twice as fast if i see some easy crucible bounties to do.

Are there any level 30 players out there that want to go for the flawless raider trophy? I figure if we are all 30s, play on normal, and be smart the only thing that could screw us up is the gorgon room, which we would just go straight through it not getting the right or left chests, the jumping area, or getting some weird glitch during atheon. But i would like to give it a few tries. Unless the next raid is a lot less hazardous. lol

Wow, I was able to solo the Kill a Captain public event last night and it went pretty fast too.  Can't remember the last time I ever did it.

Used my fresh Plan C and a maxed Vision of Confluence, with the occasional sticky 'nade from my titan (to keep him from moving).

Anyway, used up what's left of my mats and still need a bunch more for weapons and two armor pieces.  So now I need to decide if I go farming for stuff or try to push my 'lock to 20.

Suppose I could take a break from Destiny and play some Smash or Tomb Raider... hmmm.

Pst? I can run with my warlock if it is. Only did 1 NF and zero weeklies.

I just did oracles hard and got the raid sniper and no arnors for my warlock. I was the only warlock at that time and this kid was badmouthing a hunter for being useless. Sheesh. Just hate it when that happens. Left after getting the chest. Tsk. I also normal atheon and RNG rewarded me with charterwite, shards and Gjallarhorn. I was stckd. At least my warlock didnt have a fruitless week.

I still have to run oracles and templar hard on my titan and atheon on normal for both my sniper and hunter.

Destiny will reel you back in. I bought smash at release day and its still in the purchase bag untouched.
 
Im already getting bored with this game, dont even feel like doing the bounties today, but thought i should knock out the easy ones to level up my gauntlets and Plan C. So i got to earth to knock out the 10 hive kills and after i kill 6 some dude comes down by me and just sits down so they wont spawn. So i just shut the game off and said forget it. I dont even know if i want the DLC, just more grinding to upgrade more gear. The only thing i want from the DLC is to do the new raid. I really dont feel like leveling up more gear more guns, gather materials, and doing bounties. Its the same old stuff over and over. Its a shame i wasted so much time in this game.

"Already" getting bored with this game? Haven't you played it for a well over 200 hours between all characters? Not many games ever last that long haha. I would say you got your money's worth.

Yup the moment it starts feeling like a chore (which already does) is the moment to back out. If you think about it we keep on going back just to get to level 30 or something along those lines. Consider how many guns you really use, do you really need to upgrade the rest? I have more exotics now, yet I can only think of a handful of guns that I really find useful (VC, Shadow Price, Atheon's, Ice, maybe Patientce & Time, Truth, Corrective Measure, Found Veridict) and just got the Red Death today which I like so I will prolly keep playing with it. I also got the bounty for Pocket Infinity so I will go for that as well, but after that I really can't think or care for any other gun in my arsenal unless its the Fate Bringer, which seems to be really rare so I don't have my hopes up.

Since I don't upgrade everything I have 100+ Energies waiting and around 90+ shards. At least 50+ motes and 60+ coins....so yeah I don't really buy everything or upgrade everything. I think as long as I do the weekly, nightfall and raid that's all I'll be doing from now on.

Yesterday it took forever to get out group together to go into the VoG, which is a joke and yet today I get on with my cousin and some of his friends. 5 30s and 1 29. We started at the Oracles cp and finished it all in 45 min. It just went freakishly smooth for some reason.

But back to the point, I will keep on playing, but with GTA 5 and SoM, and other games arriving I think its a good time to start looking for other games to play, and invest time in other stuff.

No, they patched the templar so you cant push him off the edge anymore. :(

They also updated a lot of exotic guns, now you need an exotic shard to upgrade the last node in the exotic tree, which can be bought from xur for 7 strange coins, or you get them from breaking down an exotic item.

Also sounds like vanguard and crucible vendors will now sell materials which you can buy with crucible or vanguard marks, which is great. I just looked and it costs 10 marks for 20 material. Also i got 10 spirit bloom and 10 helium for turning in the patrol bounties for Venus and the Moon.

Have to learn legit way for templar now.good update on mats. I think all 3 of my char have max canguards so il be purchasing alot tonight. Hope the cost is not that bad

Get what you're saying. This last week had me hunting down tons of mats to do upgrades and I still didn't have enough to finish all the upgrades. Checked last night and I have 5 weapons waiting on energy and helium, just to be maxed out. For some reason everything I've gotten recently needs helium

I have a feeling the new DLC is gonna be a make-or-break moment for alot of players, including me. If I need to hunt the new weapons down just to be relevant in the new Raid well, I'm most likely gonna bow out & play some other stuff.

TBH, the Templar fight isn't hard... it's just that it was alot more fun to cheese it :D . The real fun started with the Templar's fall... the race to the 5th chest caused for some "Benny Hill" moments. That's what I'll miss the most.

Bungie, you're killing me with your anti-cheese stance.

Just wish they did the exotic node update on the 6th instead of today. Would have maxed out some exotic armors with the marks to materials update. Sheesh
 
If they are going to fix the cheese they should implement a better loot system for those boss battles (Templar, atheon). It sucks spending the time to do them properly to get continously get shards
 
Just to be clear... the exotic weapons got 1 more node added on???  So my currently maxed exotics will have a new node that will push their power up more???
