Online play will be better for 360 if this is true. I really don't care either way. MG got stupid once it hit the PS2.
Some of this content is VR missions, as well as "Snake Tales" or "Snake in the Valley" (depending on where you live), which will let you go on objective based missions, some of which are very lengthy. These are the first two bonuses to emerge so far, but be ready to expect even more.
Kojima said that MGS4 was a PS3 exclusive. Now I realize that his word is meaningless in the face of some ing idiot on Destructoid, but it's still worth considering.
"Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps," Kitaue said.
… Revealing Metal Gear Solid 4 Coming to 360
Percentage Chance: 80%
Moore's tattoo will reveal what we've long expected - the next instalment of the Metal Gear Solid saga will launch on 360 alongside the PS3 version. After Kojima's recent comments that the game was able to run on 360 hardware, this would suggest that Kojima Productions is experimenting with the hardware. Why simply experiment? Particularly when this game is certain to be costing a lot of R&D dollars which may not be recouped with a PS3 release alone? More than that, history points to a version of Metal Gear Solid 2 making its way across to the original Xbox, so it wouldn't be a big leap to see number four from day one, or perhaps after a short window of exclusivity.
"I wonder if Sony can win back user support by the price cut of just $100," Kazumi Kitaue, the head of Konami's North American and European operations, told Reuters in an interview ahead of this week's E3 video game industry trade show.
"I don't expect a substantial impact ... With $500, you can buy a personal computer."
Kitaue said Konami may need to expand the target hardware for its blockbuster fighting game Metal Gear Solid, which has so far been developed for Sony's PlayStation machines, to other consoles in the future to recoup development costs.
"Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps," Kitaue said.
