You don't need to do that for me - it just dawned on me that my sister bought a copy of Pearl from Radio Shack the same day I got Diamond, and she hasn't started yet. I can just do what we used to in Red and Blue and trade myself the other starters from her game. Thanks, though. :D

I've got a bunch of piplups that I bred, no good skills on them though (I can put surf/waterfall on em). I also have some Misdreavus that I bred at level 1 with the following abilities

Destiny Bond
Shadow Ball
Dream Eater
Dark Pulse

I'd be willing to give away a few Piplups I suppose, since I just made them for trading on the GTS, but I'd like something in return for a Misdreavus with the moves already on it. Judging from who is playing though, I don't think folk here would be interested in a Misdreavus yet, or would have what I'm looking for (and those that would probably have no need for the Misdreavus), so I'll probably try GameFAQs later for those.
 
I'd like the other two starter Pokes and I don't have anyone to trade with really other then you guys. I only have low level Pokes as well as I'm just starting off in Diamond. So if you can spare a couple that'd be awesome. I started with Chim Char...

BTW, what is the "Balloon Pokemon" and what day does he show up? They don't give you many clues do they?

Specifically? A Charmander (Charmeleon/Charizard is fine too). I guess I'd take an Electabuzz as well (holding Electrizer would be great), though I'd prefer the Charmander. Nothing rare or anything, just stuff I don't have access too since I don't have FR/LG.
 
Thanks for the help! I caught the balloon Pokemon! Ha! Are there more of these type of Pokes in the game? I've slathered lots of trees with honey and haven't ever seen any thing there either. Does the game give you hints at all or do you just have to look up where to find them?

I need to access the WiFi thing first before I can get a friend code. I'll put it up here tonight! I'd love to get some legit non-hacked Pokes if you have a few extras. I've never really had luck with the GTS in the past.

After you slather the trees with honey, you need to come back in 8-12 hours. Usually the tree will be shaking. Make sure to save first in case it is a rare pokemon, then go up to the tree and click it.

Realistically, no. Hell, you'd be hard pressed to even define which is the "clone" and which is the "original." They are exactly identical, down to all the hidden pokemon data. Maybe if you found both copies, and were able to compare all the hidden data, then you could conclude that it was cloned.

Pokemon generated via pokesav can be altered (everything) to look legitimate. I'm assuming a good portion of the pokes on GTS are "hacked". I dunno why, could be they just want to screw up GTS.

I can probably scrounge these guys up for you pretty easily. An Electrizer will take a bit longer since I have Pearl, and it's only a 5% drop rate on wild Elekids.

Thanks for the thread link DQT. I already have the game, but getting the game for $20 is really good. There is so much stuff in the game to engross yourself in, though it'll depend on the persons preference in games. Maybe we can get a CAG Pokemon interest revival going on. Before, the pokemon threads were flooding with posts and there were many to play with. I hope it'll return to that state again.

Is there any way to get the old starters into the game? I've got a Venusaur in Fire Red I can breed and import, and I've got...um, something in Ruby (I never did finish that one because I had to stop playing six or seven gyms in), but that leaves four that I can't get without trading and the three Gold and Silver starters.

Also, is there a way to get Pokémon from Gale of Darkness into the game without having to trade them through Ruby or FireRed first? I'd love to keep my Dragonite and legendary birds in a game where they'll be more likely to see some action. :)

Walrus... I don't think you can import Pokes until you've beaten the game. In reference to to import Pokes from the GBA games.

You can import the GBA pokemon via Pal Park. To access Pal Park, you are required to have the National Pokedex, and the earliest you can get that is shortly after you catch your D/P Legendary (Dialga or Palkia). You can move up to 6 at a time, and you catch them similar to Safari Zone areas. However, you can't transfer more until you have caught all of the ones you transferred over first.

Ryno, I added you, and I'm available to trade for a short period of time. Just give me any pokemon in return (it has to be one from your party list i do believe).

For 2, you have to trade them to a GBA game first. You can just pal park the pokemon from the GBA game though.

Also, does anyone here trade event pokemon?

Unfortunately, that won't work. In order to actually search for something on the GTS, you must have seen it before (in your "seen" pokedex). Ask around on the various forums (or even here). I have those Gold/Silver guys from Colosseum, but I've just been too lazy to transfer them to a GBA game to transfer to the DS.

It sounds like you'll probably need to transfer them from XD to Ruby & Fire Red and then to D/P. I don't think the DS can interact with GC games at all. So unfortunately, you'll probably have to drag out your GBA and GC to GBA cable. How last-gen.:whistle2:|

Noon est would be awesome, though that might be too early. I could also probably do 1:00 - 1:30 pm est. Anything after that, and I won't have instant access to a PC, so I'd just have to log on to WiFi at the time you say and wait. I should be back at a PC around 7 pm est. I can do the 3:30 pm cst if that's best for you, I'll just have to bust out the DS in front of family and stay on WiFi til you are ready lol. Or most anytime before noon est as well.

Thanks a lot! If anyone else wants to trade, just let me know. I trade a lot on GTS to get different IDs for the in game lottery, so I'm up for just trading a junk pokemon for a junk pokemon as well.

Oh, I just noticed the Elekid has an Electirizer on it! :bouncy: Hope it wasn't too much work for you.

I'd love some starters from RBY or GSC. It is easiest to get online in the evenings (after 8PM central) for me. Oh, and if someone can hook me up with a vulpix, I'd be grateful too. :D

I'd be up for this as well. Pretty sure the egg hatch counter resets when you deposit it, so you can always make some different ones and store them until we organize a time for the random egg event. Plus you might forget which eggs are which if you make several of them, so it makes it even more fun! :hot:
