Fair enough.
I thought MS blew them all away. I'm so glad to hear everyone who has been testing Milo/Natal have nothing but great things to say about it, and it's still early on so it could be really, really good when it comes out. Here's hoping!
Not just that, but every game I wanted to see showed up, and then some. Got some cool new things like instant netflix streaming with 1080i, Zune store, social networking, last.fm, and more party integration. Games, incredible motion technology, and more options for the experience - score!
Sony did well though, they finally have stuff going for them and they definitely seemed to cater to the sony fans. Not sure I'm with the whole wii motion plus copy controller, but it looks better than the wii's if done right, so it has potential, just as Natal.
Nintendo, well, they sucked, but not nearly as hard as last year.
New Metroid, new zelda, 2 marios, and apparently, Miyamoto announced a new Wii Zelda on the way, so I guess that's pretty good. For nintendo at least.
While the Social networking stuff and Last.FM is cool and everything, I just don't think thats the kind of thing you spend time on at an E3 conference.
Again, I agree with Natal. But I am just afraid it's going to be just like the Wii, where it's cool for 15 minutes, but then what does it do to keep your attention afterwards? Most people play games to sit back and relax, not jump around. I will admit it's great technology, but like others I am very skeptical of how it works, and also, the technology has been around for a while, so why hasn't it taken off before or why hasn't anyone used it before? Eye Toy has been doing stuff like this for a while, and there's either two reasons why it never become hugely successful. A. No one wanted it. B. Wasn't marketed correctly (with which Sony, is highly plausible).
I guess only time will tell, but for me, I don't think it's something that I will ever get into.
Again, I liked Sony's better because they focused more on games, and although while thier tech demo was funny, I really wish they wouldn't have come up with the thing. I think this whole motion controller fixation is stupid, and Sony and MSFT won't be able to beat nintendo at it.
And Nintendo loses for one reason, and one reason only. They bring Iwata out to talk for 15 minutes about a fricken heart beat counter? I mean seriously? You spend all this time leading up to it, introduce it, and then don't explain what it does at all? Epic fail.
