So, I came across this today in my internet wandering:

One step closer to choosing the perfect children to conceive?

Man, if I had a child, I'd make him/her play around with activities for awhile, have the kid learn what is right.
 
Humanity will eventually use genetics to create progeny with elite traits.

It may be be a hard sell in the USA, but countries such as China will jump at the chance. You can even already see this in places such as the Middle East or China, where many female fetii are aborted in favor of the more culturally favored male.
 
I learned all about this in my genetics class... I hope the technology can't be used to modify genes unless if it is the difference between having a serious disorder and not. We should not be able to engineer our own children to a high degree, it is just unethical.
 
It would be nice to modify a child so he or she can't scream more than 80 dB until the age of 5.

I wouldn't need it, but my wife lost the instruction manual for the second child.
