Hmm... apparently, Silent Hill Homecoming is Steam-only in the US... while the UK gets the game sans that shitty service. Looks like I'll be waiting those couple extra months to shit my pants, then.

Not like I have any shortage of stuff to play in the meantime.

I picked up Dawn of Sorrow today. Guess I didn't clarify, but I always thought that Castlevania DS = Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow.

Beat Uncharted. Is it just me or did the end of the game go into hyper easy mode? I guess most of the game wasn't that hard on normal, but the end seemed to just kinda give up difficulty-wise.

Anyway, feels good to beat another game. I've had too many partially played for too long, playing stuff was starting to feel like work. And that's a crappy feeling to have for your hobby.

Ratchet & Clank Future, DMC4, and Dark Sector are all looking for attention. I theink R&C will be next. I don't think I want to do another "take cover and kill dudes" game at the moment for DS, and just not feeling it to get into an action game like DMC right now.

I should also beat Mega Man 8 before 9 hits. Has there been any word on whether the Wii is getting that first or if it'll be a simultaneous launch on all 3?
ReRo here now? doing the LBP sackboy contest?
I'm genna enter, but I gotta get college work out of the way >_<
By the way, people, is Bionic Commando Rearmed the kind of game that would work on a keyboard, or is a controller mandatory?
Controller. Keyboard will make it gimped to be honest.

Yep, figured. Just wanted to make sure, so I'll definitely be using one. Watching the trailers for the game makes me wanna play it so bad. Maybe Monday.

No worries Rolento.

Also, today while I was at circuit city I saw a few codes for the extra costumes in Mercs 2. I have 3 to give away, any of you guys have the game and want a code? I was just going to offer them to the ggt before the rest of cag.

Huh. Well that's not as bad of a wait as I was anticipating. Still wondering what the best system to pick it up on will be... shame there's no PC version, but oh well.

I don't know if this has been posted already, but YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS (If you've played final fight before)

And OMG Mission Mode is fun, I cleared the first two rows, except that dragon motherfucker!!

Keyboard is kinda doable, but I totally wouldn't recommend it personally. Shit, the 360 pad sucks too. Not being able to duck on command isn't good. I use a Dual Shock 2 to play BCR PC.

The last Casstlevania I beat was Aria of Sorrow. I got stuck in DoS and didn't play much PoR.

damn.. I did what I never thought was human in myself. just got 100% in quest mode in VF5 360 >_<

I'll be shooting to get the last two achvmnts now and then be done with the game...

That's because MarkMan SUCCEEDS.

My Saturn Controller was delivered yesterday, but I won't be able to get it until monday.. :(

I enjoyed the video just because the absurdity of her "fapping" to a screen of Haggar's mouth, and Haggar doing spinning lariats?

Girls + Haggar /= Fapping

I just got my extra Saturn controllers too jer ;)

Hope you enjoy em. I brought em to a fighting game meetup here in San Diego tonight and ppl were diggin' em.

I posted a new blog entry regarding the Mad Catz products too if anyone is interested.

New question of the day: Silent Hill 3 - worth owning? Not worth owning? I'm mostly concerned about the combat... like, if there's a lot of it and if it's decent or not. And is it more about bashing monsters with pipes, or shooting them?
Damn, I was first in line for Powerstone 2 at Goozex but I have no points. :/
If it makes you feel better, Power Stone 2 isn't much of a necessity. I remember really liking the series when I played it on the Dreamcast back in 99/2000, but when I played the games again on the PSP, they just felt really shallow. They're the kind of games that you need people to play with to enjoy, because the combat just isn't that satisfying.

Granted, part of my distaste for it might have been because the PSP version of Power Stone was a janky, piece-of-shit hack-job that cut the frame rate at least in half. But the gameplay wasn't there, either.

That does make me feel better.

Long as I can get my points before it's my turn for MVC or Project Justice I'm happy. Shouldn't have canceled Okami but I really felt like trying it again.

Should I just wait a month and buy the Rock Band with instruments or should I pick it up next week and spend an extra 20 bucks, not get a mic, and not get to gameshare songs?

Speaking of, what's the best place for me to dump Guitar Hero 3?
what's the release date for LBP?
October 21? That's what I've got in the back of my mind but I'm too lazy to double check!

Wait, that means LBP and C: OoE come out on the same day...? Dang it. :p

Ouch.

Fortunately, Fable 2 will be the only thing I'll be picking up on that day. Everything else can wait I suppose. But, that's also because I've had Fable paid off since like, the end of August.

Fallout 3 is going to join Mercs 2 on my list to use Christmas money on if there is any. I'm interested in it, but not enough to work it into my normal budget.

Just Castlevania that day for me. Maybe Fallout 3 or Fable 2 sometime down the road if they get good reviews.

Castlevania and Gears 2 will be all I buy this fall. May ask for something else for X-mas if I'm done with those by then. Otherwise will wait for price drops or Goozex for other fall games when I actually have time to play them.

The combat in Fable is quite satisfying. It's one of the few action-RPGs I've enjoyed over the years. The good/bad side was appealing as well to add to the whole story. It was just the right length and did what it did well. Fable 2 is just going to expand on the good note Fable left on.

Unfortunately, Fable 2 will be one of the last 360 games I buy. There's like, 1 or 2 games down the road for the 360 I want, but my interest in the console is just diminishing.

See, but that makes it sound like... decent, but not worth buying. And that's why I don't get why people are shellin' out hella cabbage for it.

I see the LE actually being worth it this time around, It'll be the first since the Bioshock LE. Here's my logic:

For $20 you get a figure, DVD, some cards, a picture print, a legendary weapon only obtainable through the LE, and an in-game dungeon only obtainable through the LE. If the LE content gets released on XBL (which it most likely will) It will probably be around 800-1200 anyway, so for $5-$10 extra now, you get all the extra stuff the LE comes with.

Besides, Amazon had for the longest time the ability to get the $80 LE for $67, so there's no reason to say it couldn't be had for cheap.

I really liked Fable. I didn't read about it beforehand a lot, so I wasn't missing all of the crazy shit that Molyneux talked about but didn't deliver. It was a fun romp.

That said, I'm not feeling Fable II. Something about it just tells me to wait until it's cheap. And that's what I'm going to do. Although I will be expecting some opinions about it in here. I don't really trust reviews anymore, since they can be too easy on some games and too hard on others.

Pretty much exactly my feelings. It's a shame because my pre order with release date delivery of the LE was only 60 bucks after the giftcard.

Anyone know if they're selling the standalone GH:WT drums at launch?

Also, since you've played with it all MM, which guitar is closest to GH3's Les Paul? I abso-fucking-lutely love that controller.

Spent some time with Mega Man 8 today.

Those of you who said it was your favorite, was it the first Mega Man game you ever played? I can only see intense nostalgia fueling that kind of ranking. The design doesn't even feel like a Mega Man game. It's like trying to be Mega Man X with a Mega Man wrapper and fails at both. Yucky. :(

It's a shame too, since I was excited to play it based on what others had said about its quality.

I might pick up Castlevania, but I'm still debating it. I played all the GBA ones and enjoyed them, then played PoR right after it came out and hated the character switching. I'm playing DoS right now, so I think I'm getting my Castlevania fix for the time being. If I do decide to buy it, it probably won't get played for a while.

W...what!?!?! I mean, yeah, it's different from the older Mega Man games, but it's so fun... the level design has variety, the bosses are fun to fight, the shop system's cool. Well, too each his own, I guess :(

2 weeks at the earliest. Time to ship you coffin + Time to ship back + Time for them to send out another 360 + Time to ship it to you.

My earliest was like 12 days.

I'm going to bitch until I get a free game. Third time I've had to send it in (launch model had some kind of disk drive problem that caused it to run like 4 times as loud as it should have, second red ringed)

Man, the Eurogamer review has me genuinely excited for Crysis Warhead... it just sounds like 5-7 hours of balls to the wall awesome the entire time. And apparently, it'll run way better than the original. I still haven't finished Crysis just because I couldn't get performance that was consistently good and have the game be pretty at the same time... but I guess this'll be a different story. I'm probably going to pick a day to just start playing at like 5PM and play through the entire game. Certainly don't have any qualms about buying it right away, since it's a mere $30.
Son of a COCKSUCKING MOTHER fuckER I red ringed. RAWR!!!!!

How long does this shit take to get taken care of?
I just had to send my in. They give you the option of waiting to get your coffin or waiting a few hours to print up your own label and take it to the UPS store. After that they tell you it'll take about 2 weeks.
