I'm kinda hesitant to send personal payments these days. You know, after the whole 8BitWonder thing.
Don't worry, I don't feel like committing any scams. You could wait for Thursday shipment if you pay me late.

I move for you to invalidate that last bid ... you said yourself you hate bid snipers, and there he goes in the last few minutes...
Why on earth people don't end these on the hour I will never know...
Well, I kept updating the times for everyone. Those were hints.
To avoid snipers.
Yeah, well it didn't work ... I'm pissed that I just spent half an hour babysitting this thread, refreshing every few minutes, only to get sniped and have the auction called early. BS.

Exactly. I do realize that you updated the title to let us know, but I would still prefer to know the time in advance. Sniping occurs either way.

You're right in the fact that sniping occurs either way, but in a lowball auction with an exact end time, there's nearly no incentive to bid until the very last minute. So yes, sniping does happen, but to a much lesser degree.

Example: Clock Tower 2 was sitting at I think $22 a few hours ago. refusedchaos, Chronis, and I sit on it until 9:59 and then put in bids $1 or a few dollars more higher. It sells for $22-$25 compared to $45 because us three had to openly bid for it not knowing the EXACT end time. I obviously can't speak for the other two on what they'd do, but that's what I would've (and have) done at least :)

I don't think it had a huge affect. And I'm nearly certain that somebody edited one of their posts to achieve an earlier bid. I've noticed a few changed bids already. This was screwed up. If you can actually figure out what happened and you're interested in a fair auction, hero101, my final bid (the highest for VP2) still stands.

The truth here is that it covers the seller's ass. People actually bid items up rather than just sniping stuff for way under value.

You win on the point that CAG does need to display when a post is edited.

Theoretically speaking, as long as you bid the absolute maximum you're willing to pay for an item, you shouldn't have any qualms about snipers. Of course, practically speaking, that doesn't erase the sting of losing by $.50 or a dollar.

edit: Hero, my PM box is full and I won't be home until the morning to archive it. I will send you a PM once I do so you can send me an invoice.

edit2: oops, I guess it won't be necessary.
Thanks everyone for your bids. I'm going to add everyone DC # to the main page so everyone sees that I'm not a scammer.
Just looking at your rep, I don't understand why anyone would consider the possibility anyways ;)

Yeah, but the absolute maximum I am willing to pay is the least I can pay and still win. Besides, this isn't Ebay, so you get stuck paying your max bid even if no one else bids anywhere close.

Truthfully though, I never really got sniped anyway. I was distracted for like ten minutes and came back. I was still a little butt-hurt though. I would have paid more. Oh well.
Ready to pay paypal but it wouldn't be under personal but purchase of goods. Is there a reason you want it under personal?
Nope, you could pay by credit card but you have to pay fees.

Be sure put your shipping address in the paypal so I could mail out the stuff to you.
