Double Dragon CONFIRMED for May 9th, 400 MS POINTS!!! Updated with the Achievements!

oh good someone wrote a guide. I was lazy lol. I'll just add my 2 cents on the stuff the guide doesnt have

Third Base - There are several places you can lose the bat. The first is at the midway point after fighting the two Abodos, make sure you finish at the right end of the screen as the screen will scroll right after the player drops the bat. The second is at the rock ladder just before the final green boss, the guy with the dynamite can come down the ladder and kick you off and the bat will fly off the ledge/screen. Third is fighting the green boss himself, the right edge of the screen edges in further than it should and you can lose the bat easily, stay in the middle or left of the screen. Yes I've messed up all 3 :)

Sneaky - This seems random, I like the guide's suggestion better but Ive gotten through just spamming jumping starting from the first column

Bare Hands - use the kick button to fight anywhere near a weapon, dont even try elbows since it utilises the punch button and will result in you picking up a weapon instead. You can use as many lives / continues as you like for this one so no need to go for elbow perfect plays.

To everyone who's complaining about the port: it's actually a perfect port-- slowdown, cheap enemies and all. that's just how retro arcade games are. they were designed to take your money, so they aren't a fair challenge.

there's a reason why someone called it "Elbow Dragon" a few pages back-- that's the only way to play without constantly dying!
This game sucks. Sluggish and crappy controls. Waste of $5
When hitting, "Confirm Download," on a game that is 20 years old you should have known what you were getting yourself into.

I'm still going to download it (whenever I go out and get points). Cause in the end, it's seriously only $5.

Managed to get all the achivements except two. The one where you can't attack anyone with weapons (it's a bad habbit and real hard to avoid heh) and the co-op over Live one where you have to make it to stage 4 without continuing (I can do this, but my ally usually sucks).

After playing the hell out of this I still stand by the slowdown sucks statement. But this game is easily worth your $5 thanks to Live play.

I played for a few mins this morning going out of my way to avoid using the elbow (or use it sporadically), I got about to about half of the 3rd level without having to continue lol.

If I'd used less jump kicks I might have beat the game :D

the only achievement i'm having trouble with is the wall thing on level 4, got all the others

i always get hit at the same spot - then have to play all over again to retry, so annoying

failed like 4x at it
so, worth it as a first XBLA purchase, or get something else first?
Get it if you were a fan of the arcade version, if you only played the NES version then wait until it hits the Virtual Console if you have a Wii.
