I ended up making it to my event and they tried the same thing, but since I was there before the event started and stayed there all day they gave us shirts when it ended. This event was worse than at GS, it was basically me and two other guys that were at the GS event, and then a few stragglers during the afternoon. I only got 2 more maps including the NOA4 one, and about 4 more unique tags. We stood around and played multiplayer all afternoon while waiting for other people to show though, so I levelled up some. It was still fun!
Sounds kind of the opposite of what I saw today (in Salem, OR). I got there right at the start but the T-shirts were already gone (handed out freely to those getting there before it even started, apparently). They only had 10.
But, on the other hand, I went from only 5 tags from the GS event to 50 today! There was a pretty big crowd at the beginning so I went to 30 pretty quickly (to unlock the basement in the Inn) and was set to go but my 2 1/2 year-old wanted to look at other stuff. I just kept canvassing while he did that, and even though we were in different parts of the store, I got up to 49 by around 2pm. But at that point it was pretty empty, so I decided to run out and do the other thing I drove down there for and then come back before the end. When I got back it didn't appear there was anyone else there - the BB guy was standing by himself. But once again we looked around a bit and I picked up that last one needed for 50 - and I guess a new accolade which I am getting right now:
"Some might not agree with your methods, Cold Caller, but they sure do get results. That's fifty guests canvassed! Keep it up!". The award is "Cold Caller" of course

.
Plus I got all of these maps:
- Zoma again - but beaten by someone!
- Estark of course (given by the NOA4 character)
- Baromas's Map (level 3)
- 2 x Granite Tunnel of Woe (the first one you get and which I beat last night so it was all I could hand out myself)
- Iron Mine of Joy (level 3) x 2 (2 maps from the same person... hmmmm...)
- Basalt Cave of Joy (level 4) (wait, this was what I got myself from beating the Granite Tunnel of Woe level 1)
- Graphite Mine of Woe (level 4) x 2 (also from the same person)
- Rock Mine of Doubt (level 8)
- Cooper Mine of Dolour (level 10)
- Clay Mine of Doubt (level 10)
- Graphite Crevasse of Dolour (level 12)
- Platinum Moor of Bane (level 45) x 2
- Platinum Mine of Fear (level 45)
- Platinum Path of Regret (level 55)
- Graphite Nest of Regret (level 56)
- Silver Crypt of Regret (level 66)
- Platinum Ruins of Dread (level 69)
- Diamond Nest of Bane (level 70)
- Steel Nest of Bane (level 77)
- Sapphire Nest of Ruin (level 99)
So, uh, yeah, I really don't understand what any of that means. Did I get anything good in there?
