woot, a non-sale price drop in every 5 years, hooray for nintendo system's products.

atually, more like, hooray for flashcards ^____^
Not funny, dick.

You do realize these are used game prices set by EB/GS, not MSRP set by a publisher, right?

Some good ones in there, a store somewhat near me has Ninja 5-O, I'm considering it.

More importantly, is it possible for EB to still have a new copy of Boktai for sale? I know my local store has a sealed copy in the hold drawer, curious if I could snag that for 9.99, or if they still have a listing for a new copy in their system.

I've heard good things about Klonoa, Lady Sia, and the Shining Soul games. Time to investigate those further to see if they're worth the price of admission, though my luck with getting complete used GBA games would be tested greatly.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, but it could never hurt to ask.

So are these the same prices new? I have seen one or two of these available new recently, Boktai definitely, but I already bought a new copy at GS for $9.99 off their clearance table...and this was around Christmas.
the eb/gs around nyc guts all their GBA games =/
mine do the same thing, every single GBA game is just cart. They must throw any and all packaging away that they may receive.

As a note, Lady Sia for $3.99 is an old price -- I remember buying them last summer to use for the GR trade-in deals.
15 bucks for Riviera? That's sweet, IF you can find it.
According to the locator, 5 stores within 10 miles of me have 1-3 copies of Riviera in stock. USUALLY the locator is accurate with stores in my area. Maybe 3/5 or 4/5 times it is right.

Shining Soul II is well worth the money; I found a complete copy at my EBGames many months ago. The first one is supposed to be total crap though, but I haven't played the original myself.

I've found almost the exact opposite to be true near me. I've gone to 6 different stores with "1-3 copies" listed in the locator, and all of them had been out for months.

such a shame they're this cheap... I really wanted ninja five-oh, riviera, and shining soul II.
Hmmm I heard Astro Boy was good...
Yeah, I thought it was fun. I think I even liked it better than Gunstar Super Heroes, but I suppose I haven't really given GSH much of a chance. Too many other games...

I swung by my local EB on my way home and they had 2 copies of Riviera, 2 copies of Shining Soul, and 2 copies of Shining Soul 2 (all cart only/used). I forced myself not to pick up Riviera due to the backlog of games I have and save some money. So I left empty handed.:applause:

I nabbed a bunch today

Lady Sia
Shining Soul 2
Rebel Star
Super Dodge Ball
Activision Anthology (Not on this list but I had been looking for it and it was 9.99)

Anyone in SE Wisconsin who's looking for Rivieria, there were a couple copies at Southridge Mall's EB

Thanks Op. I remembered a brand new copy of Megaman Zero they had (display box) that had no price as a brand new game. I went back in, it was still there but apparently they didn't have the game anymore just the box. They had a used copy though, and let me keep the box.
So I got a complete version. Awesome. =D

Nice. I've been trying to find a complete copy of Mega Man Zero 1 for years but even the box is pretty elusive.

I highly reccomend buying Ninja 5-0 if you can find it. I bought it brand new from Sam's Club a couple years ago and it is an awesome game. (rare too!)

The gameplay is the same hack n' slash goodness only Shining Soul II has longer gameplay length, more sidequests (the first had none), the colosseum, more items, more enemy variety, and applies the "Soul" system WAY better than in the first game. I still enjoyed the first one though, as I don't think it's as much as the game is crap as the second installment just improves on it in almost every way.

I took a look on Ebay, and one complete copy is going for about 35 dollars. I had no idea. I guess I better track down a copy of Zero 2 so I have all four.

I picked up a copy of Firepro Wrestling today for $4.99. The sticker in the store said $7.99 but it rang up at $4.99. Seems like a fun game, but I got my butt kicked in the first couple matches I did. Nice advantage of buying a used copy is that the previous owner had edited everyone in the game to their real names.

Wow, EB sucks ass. None of their used GBA games come with box or instructions. I wouldn't buy a used GBA game from them if it was a dollar. Isn't the whole point of buying a game to get it for the packaging and what not? Because I could just pirate it with a snap of my fingers.

Ended up getting a copy of Shining Soul II for the Shining Soul I price since my local GameStop had the game mislabeled as the first one. Not a bad deal.

No, it really isn't the "whole point." You're getting a game at a fraction of the cost. Take it or leave it.

Picked up an extra Astroboy if anyone needs it. Of course, it's cart only, since the bastards at GS told me they throw away manuals and packaging they receive since they have nowhere to store it...
