FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

My Resident Evil 3 for Dreamcast arrived complete yesterday. Qix Neo and Mr. Domino came complete the day before. So I'm 3 for 3 with complete games this week... astonishing!

Half right there, as the PH version is the only one available for the Xbox, hence the Restless Dreams "sub" title.
 
Got Guilty Gear X2 for Xbox today and for some reason it came in an Xbox 360 case, the game was in great shape so I'm not complaining, I just thought it was strange.

I've also been having more luck recently with complete games since I got both No One can Stop Mr. Domino and Breakout both complete. Plus the condition of the games seems to be improving. All the games I've got recently that were resurfaced didn't still have that ugly white residue, and the cartridge games weren't riddled with stickers and they all worked first try without cleaning. So hopefully this trend continues.

No, its because its the Director's Cut version, you can say. It has bonus features. There is a non-PH version of Silent Hill 2 for Xbox. They couldent release a $49.99 PHs game in 2001.

EB has had lighter green display cases in the past, which could be what you got. Or an x360 display case with ggxx sleeve.

Codes definitely don't work on the PSP and if you have a modded box, the best thing to use the gun for is emulators. You can make it be the super scope, play gun games in mame, its great. Oh and YMMV on this but I picked it up for 10 bucks new at a gamecrazy, but I think it was because the manager there is crazy and if he wants to get rid of something he marks it down.

Are you sure that was released here, as I've only ever seen the PH copies and never that version?

Edit: Wow and all these years I thought this game was only available as a PH. Looks like its time for me to hunt down a non PH copy.
 
I looked for a non-PH silent hill 2 for xbox for a while and finally found one at an EB.

Funny thing is, there is a KMart that is closing near me so I stopped in (I never go there) and lo and behold, for $49.99, they have a sealed non-PH silent hill 2 for xbox on the shelf.

I had a copy way back when. Foolishly, I decided to trade it in to EB......This was before I had even seen this site.
 
'Rating' orders:

PS1 - Namco Arcade - 'A" -- I was really exticed to see this listed... but I got the 'M' CD...

PS1 - R Types -- CD in pretty good condition - but does not boot

PS1 - Saiyuki -- CD only... 'good' condition...

PS1 - Decpetion 2 -CD only - some info on the top w/ Sharpie... but it loads...

PS2 - Time Crisis 2 w/ guncon - perfect condition!

I did manage to snag a copy of Powerstone today, not bad considering Im not in front of a pc until an hour after the update most days. Lets hope it comes in better condition than the Powerstone 2 I had to return, it had a huge blockbuster disc shield on it and refused to boot up.

Huh. I'd seen the new-to-$20 drop of course, but I'd assumed the used wouldn't be dropping, or else maybe there just were never any in stock. Just this week I noticed "hey! the used are 17.99 b/c!" and popped it on my wishlist. Major weirdness that the new price went 150% up.

WOW guys my Time Crisis just arrived and it is complete and mint this is the first Playstation game I have bought from EB Games not bad for $3.68 shipped. I am also waiting for Dino Crisis to arrive.

Yeah, I have the non PH version. It was one of the first ones I got, I picked it up for like.. $10 or under used at EB, everything was in perfect condition. It shouldn't be hard to find at all.
 
Hilarious! Just as I was out today looking around I found a non-PH copy of Silent Hill 2 in my local GameStop for a nice $9.99. I'd pick it up to go along with the B2G1 free deal but...ugh, there's nothing left in the store worth buying, honestly. The good games are too expensive and the cheapies that are left are almost all bottom-of-the-barrel or first-gen titles. Oh well.
 
Why do we keeping talking about the non PH Silent Hill 2? :lol: Its not rare, valuable or anything... Dont be confused! In fact, if you order a copy of EBGames.com theres a good chance it'll be non-PH...

It's Mr. Pants was (and still might be) relatively rare. If I'm not mistaken, it wasn't officially distributed in the US after its release. I had a hell of a time finding it - eventually, I got lucky and found it at a Kohl's.

I didn't even know that EB carried it. Maybe this is a new development...

They haven't until now, although the $49.99 price is astonishing. I got mine on eBay, and while it's amusing and a good puzzle game, it's not worth fifty bucks to me.

I just prefer non-PH/GH/PC copies of games. I think I'll try my luck looking around at EB and other stores, until I get another edge card that is.

I only on one PH game, and thats Fable: TLC, and don't want to own any more, unless thats the only way to get certain bonus content.
