FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?

Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.
Damn it! Star Ocean got taken out of my cart!
Same with Persona here. Almost made it to the point of no return.

EBgames needs to have the ability to be able to save a CC and all address info, to decrease the amount of time it take from checking out, to actually completing an order.

I know the info is there, but not in the sense that you don't have to check it every order.

Strikers 1945 was in @6.99 b/c, not bad if you don't have it. Other than that nada. All I want is fucking Dragon Warrior Monsters 1 so I can stop waking up for the updates T_T.
lost phoenix wright and persona
It was in stock today? I know it shows up on the search, but it is never in stock. I checked today first thing and it showed up as OOS.

Is there any other big site that waits for the update? There were at least 6 GCN broadband adapters in stock and they sold out within seconds.

popular items always go really fast, I ended up not picking that up because I couldnt find an game to go with it to get free shipping
do you guys have links for Skull Monkeys and Strikers 1945?

thanks

Poy Poy was in for 8.99. So was Strikers 1945 and Skull Monkeys. Didn't see much else good besides the usual RPGs mentioned above.
Would you happen to have a link to Poy Poy?
Sentient - I've never heard of that...
It's not too bad. I picked it up based on a recommendation from this thread.

Basically, it's an adventure game, so if you don't mind a lot of slow-paced movement, coupled with large amounts of text and puzzle-solving, then you may like this.

I've found that most gamers these days don't have the stomach for standard adventure games, but I like them. As far as adventure games go, this is hardly the best one out there, but there are so few on consoles (and it's under $2), that it's probably worth picking up just for that.

For some good PS1 adventure games, try the Broken Sword series. I also got Martian Gothic recently (again, from this thread) which looks pretty decent, but I haven't played it yet.

I'd also recommend:
Indigo Prophecy
Shadow of Destiny
Disaster Report

Is it safe to purchase used GBA games from EBGames? I am always concerned about getting bootleg GBA games when I buy them used online and I cannot see a picture of the actual product I am going to receive.

You can always return them in-store if you get a bum copy.

Shadow of Destiny

You and I certainly have similar taste.

Love those titles. Have you ever played the Echo Night series or the D series? Also interesting. And tell me you gave Chronicles of Riddick and Call of Cthulhu a try. Also damned good.

A little OT, but how do you guys best use the $10 Reservation Rewards certificate given that you can couple/stack it with the various coupons and EDGE card.....thanks in advance.

Yes, I own the original D and Echo Night games (never played the sequels, but I'm planning on picking up Echo Night: Beyond).

I enjoyed Riddick. I haven't gotten to play Cthulhu yet, but it's high on my list for a future purchase. As a CAG, I'm just waiting for the price to drop a little before I bite.

I just used that coupon last week and couldn't stack it with any other coupon code.

I usually used it on new games, since there was no other way to save on those.
That was a great game. Everybody bitches that it was hard but I thought it was just right. Metroid Zero Mission was harder.
I'll admit that CV:COTM was pretty hard, but then again, people say I suck at playing games, so that doesn't mean much. Likewise, I was able to easily blow through M:ZM in less than 3 hours only dying three times on my first try.
While were waiting. Of the 7 copies of Thousand Arms that were up on the Morning Update last week, did anyone get a complete copy? This is the third time I ordered and it was disk only, Blockbuster disk shield and a label on them. Back to the store they go.

On a positive note, Evolution 2 for the DC came complete!
I got my Thousand Arms. It was complete but due to poor packaging the case was destroyed. The middle black piece was completely shattered. I was lucky my disc wasn't cracked or scratched. It was resurfaced.

Man Kouldeka's been in stock for more than a week now. Figures, I could never nab this one back when I wanted it, but now it can be had easily. Knowing my luck, the moment I pull out my CC it'll sell out

BTW, does anyone have the link for sillohette Mirage?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't stack with any other coupons or discounts, at least it didn't last time I used it. The best use for it is to get a game that is as close to $10 as possible, and if not right at $10 get a filler for $1. I used Dreamcast controllers as filler, but they cost a lot more now for whatever reason. That will after they take $10 off your order you will have hardly any taxable cost left and you will only have to pay shipping. I think last time I used a coupon on their I got Viewtiful Joe (PS2) new and a Dreamcast controller for like $3 total.
