FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?

Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

So I am like 1 for whatever on completes. Recieved Breath of Fire 2 (gba), Revelations: The Demon Slayer, and Silhouette Mirage all game only.

Quick question too, does anyone have a link for the real BoF2? I have 2 carts and both of them look different.

I don't have a link but I can describe my legit copy (from its release, sealed, all that rubbish).

Background is brownish and looks like a map, for the most part. Color should only range from light brown (for the landmasses) and dark brown (for the water) with slight specks of mountains.

Breath of Fire II is the title and is centered in the middle with BREATH on one line and OF FIRE II on the next, with a touch of flame dotting the I in FIRE.

Lower Left corner has the E for Everyone ESRB seal and, to the right of that, the Licensed by Nintendo marker. On the far right side will be the Nintendo Official Seal of Quality and, below that, the code AGB-AB2E-USA.

Ok, thats the copy I recived from EB today. I'll try to get a picture, tomorrow, of the copy I had prior to getting this today.

Edit: The cart resembles this box.
There's a lot of PS1 games still in stock -- did we miss the update?
I don't think so, it is Wednesday, the good update day, after all.

Don't remind me. Its the one day where I have school early. I hopefully won't miss the update today. I am in class now on my laptop so I won't miss the update
Man Kouldeka's been in stock for more than a week now. Figures, I could never nab this one back when I wanted it, but now it can be had easily. Knowing my luck, the moment I pull out my CC it'll sell out

BTW, does anyone have the link for sillohette Mirage?
You can get Silhouette Mirage new from a number of places.

$6.99 at buy.com
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=50006823

I know Walmart had it for a long time but I can't seem to find it now.

Is that link to a new or complete copy? If so, I may have found what I am using my $5 GC for there on, stupid screw ups.

Side note - Should have the money in my paypal this evening for our trade though.

4000....

Snagged a guitar hero. WOooohooo. My first actual update purchase.

Only 3 dollars after gift card. Wouldve been free if I still had the edge discount.

I had to return my Guitar Hero 3 weeks ago due to a bad disc and I asked them to replace it. Nnow they have them in stock, yet my return still hasn't taken place.

I'm going to be pissed if they don't send me one of the copies they've got right now.

Should had my codes in before update . . . I lost mine (yours :)) at the last stage of checkout.

I thought for sure I wouldve missed it as I
A: Had to enter in my new address
B: Missapplied my pin for my gift card, so I had to do that whole thing again
C: Put Visa instead of Mastercard and had to do that twice.

At what point is it actually safe in your cart? Or is it only safe when you get the confirmation?

Confirmation.

Looks like you got very lucky.

Edit: Never seen/knew about this before:

9.99 b/c (1 in stock)
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/195190.asp

Wow almost 5 years old. And an 83.4% average rating on GameRankings.com. Might have to pick up the copy thats at my local EB and try it out.
A bit off topic, but I wish EB had the Red Octane drums for a penny, b/c theres no GameStop near me.

Has anyone order this game and got the Guncon with it, as it doesn't say either way and its the cheaper of the 2 versions?

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/209318.asp
Its on the bottom of the description:

GunCon2 Gun Not Included

:dunce:

Thanks for pointing that out. I was hoping it was included, but it saves me some money.

Picked up some 64 games this morning both Zelda games, Mario 64 and Paper Mario $46 with tax hopefully none of them have label damage. My last order was almost a complete bust Megaman X had heavy label damage and both Zelda GBC carts didn't work, only good item was Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 which was complete.

Bah, that reminds me, I need to test out my Zelda GBC games I picked up last weekend before the return period is up.

Even though I had fun with the Lolo games, I'm going to pass on that one.

I think they intend the $44.99 one to be the version with the Guncon, although it doesn't specifically say. I got Time Crisis 3 with the gun like two years ago for that price, before discounts. I don't understand why they shot the price back up so much.

Also, how long of a game (roughly) is Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow? Comparable length to Aria of Sorrow and Circle of the Moon or more like Symphony?

Depends on what kind of gamer that you are....you can get the easy cheap-o bad ending fairly quickly...but if you are a completionist, I think that the game can be very long for a portable game.
I got my Thousand Arms. It was complete but due to poor packaging the case was destroyed. The middle black piece was completely shattered. I was lucky my disc wasn't cracked or scratched. It was resurfaced.
I noticed this happening with pretty much all of my recent PS 1 orders. Its gotten to the point that unless I think the case is going to be very durable (i.e. a PS 2 or DS game), that I'm not going to take EB Saver shipping since the USPS obviously loves to break things. Quite annoying.
When was the last time they got a decent DC game? Like Project Justice, MvCPCM2, Mars matrix, bangai-o, or whatever
Last Wednesday there was a great DC update. Both MvC and MvC2 were in. Also Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Evolution 2, and Bust a Move 4. Just off the top of my head. Was a great day to pick up the 15 for 50.
Is Freedom Force Vs. The Third Reich worth 19.99?
I think it is. But check your local Target. It was clearanced $9.98 last time I saw it there...2 weeks ago.
When was the last time they got a decent DC game? Like Project Justice, MvCPCM2, Mars matrix, bangai-o, or whatever
I think MvC2 and Project Justice have shown up in the past two weeks or so. I haven't heard anything about Mars Matrix in a very long time, same with Bangai-o.

What always struck me as odd is that they would tend to drop the price into the toilet at one point or another and then, a few months later, the price would jump back through the roof again. At least in those cases it made sense since a new GunCon game would come out and they wanted to make more profit since preowned GunCon2s weren't really in high supply whereas games + GunCon2s were. But there aren't any more games coming down the pipe, unless Time Crisis 4 is going to make a late 2006 appearance in Japan and the US and they're just hedging their bets.

I beat C: DoS in less than 11 hours with around 96% completion. If I really wanted to go for everything, however, I think I could easily put another 25 to 30 hours into the game, mostly for getting multiples of various souls and the additional mode after beating the game.

Yeah I was totally bummed I haven't bought too many GBC cart since they release the GBA. but this is the first time I ever had a Gameboy cart that wouldn't load

Yesterday I received the Dino Crisis I ordered last week it came with the jewel case, back cover and game disc no instruction manual still a great deal for $1.83.
